Sounds like his excellence as an author is matched only by his thespian efforts. My Girl notwithstanding, I never got the Culkin vibe - he's no Haley Joel Osment...(not that I'm into child actors' careers). Perhaps if Mr. Culkin had a director and editor on this project, his brilliance would have been allowed to shine.
By the way, his father's mismanagement certainly didn't affect the fact that he can shop for a unique ruby ring for Mila.
Oh, and if you'd like to read his dad's side of the story go here He just started writing a blog and, even if a tad over-the-top defensive, at least it's coherent.
