As someone who spent several years of her childhood living on the campus of an Episcopal Seminary while her mother was studying... nope... they didn't lay it on too thick at all.
I'm sorry I didnt get to see more of this show. Its on at the same time as Battlestar Galactica and since I already lived Book of Daniel, I wasn't changing my tivo schedule.
I loved the show. Born & Raised catholic I didn't feel the show put down any religion, but in fact that catholics are bunch of tight asses and Episcopalian's are better!
Oh well, I guess I can delete them from my TiVo recording list.
Saw a couple episodes and i found thwm very interesting. I would say it would have done better on HBO, Showcase, Bravo or some other broadcaster and audience that doesn't believe that. But as reality states, ratings are more important and bringing back FRIENDS for limited one hour specials is what their audience wants.Its simple. emphasis on the the word simple.
The show wasn't edgy at all. Everything on it was so played out, I've seen it all before. The characters were annoying and boring, that's why it was cancelled.
I wonder how many people signed the AFA petition without ever having seen the show? I'm disappointed I didn't get a chance to watch it before it got pulled.

Damn! That sucks. Book of Daniel was a great show. Well written, well acted, and it was very funny - but not in a fake sitcom way. It was one of my favorite new shows. I'm really disappointed that they pulled it.
