That's Laurel Canyon, it SUCKS...still you'd have to be a bit of a tard to flip it there since everyone goes so slow.
By Anonymous, on 10:35 PM
I drove through Laurel Cyn. everyday for two years and never managed to flip my car through rain, mud, intoxication or just plain stupidity.
Way to go, Wah-Keen.
By Chris, on 10:55 PM
Well, it is a Ford, they are known to rollover on their own.

Joaquin Phoenix's car overturned and crashed into another vehicle when the Walk the Line star's brakes failed Thursday on a canyon road above L.A.'s Sunset Strip, say police.
By Suburbancowboy, on 11:05 PM
Sounds like the cops liked Walk the Line.
Brakes don't fail on brand new cars, even when they're on a Ford.
By suburbancowpie, on 11:07 PM
They do if someone cut them. Lets think about this people, who might want to get rid of Phoenix.....Tom Cruise maybe. Just a theory.
By Anonymous, on 11:16 PM
Don't dis the Ford, dis the drunk behind the wheel.
By Anonymous, on 11:17 PM
His brakes failed you fucking morons and yeah, that shit happens even in brand new cars.
By Anonymous, on 5:14 AM
Why is Drew Fuller in the photos?
By Anonymous, on 5:39 AM
I think they need a few more pylons...
By Ryan, on 7:05 AM
Sit.... Now rollover. Good boy!
By Anonymous, on 8:08 AM
Breaks do fail, My car is only two years old and the brakes failed on me a couple of months ago, but still you have to know how to pump the e-brake to stop it.
By Anonymous, on 8:14 AM
Using the e brake going down a hill like that would definitely make the thing Flip.
By Anonymous, on 8:28 AM
Are you people seriously going to believe an obvious attempt at protecting yet another celebrity? Yeah he's a lot cooler and more likeable than most of them, that brakes failing excuse is total horseshit.
By Anonymous, on 8:31 AM
I imagine he is driving it because it is a hybrid.
By Anonymous, on 8:55 AM
1. Where is the car he crashed into? That Mercedes doesn't have a scratch on it.
2. Why couldn't he downshift and slow himself down with the emergency brake? Probably because he's a bad driver like 90% of the people on the road.
Just because he's a celebrity doesn't mean he knows how to drive.
By Anonymous, on 9:06 AM
you know he was dialing his cellphone, or looking at himself in the rear-view mirror, drifted out of the lane, over-corrected and flipped it on its side. case closed. you can all go home now.
the chances of him getting a new car with brakes that "failed" are about 1,000,000 to 1. brakes are the most overly double and triple checked systems on a car for obvious reasons. puuuhhhleeeaase.
By a mechanic/accident reconstructionist/cop/obvious guy, on 9:58 AM
You don't roll a car onto its side from failing brakes, you run into something. Besides, it's plainly clear from the photos that he ran up the inside embankment.
By Anonymous, on 10:52 AM
seriously why is drew fuller in the pic?
By Anonymous, on 11:49 AM
Joaquin had a passenger in the car, 11:49. Joaquin is the shaggy guy dressed in black with his back to us.
By Jenny, on 11:54 AM
It looks like he was coming around that corner, hit the brakes, and then skidded into the curb. That could be why it flipped...
look at pic 5. I'm sure that if he WERE intoxicated, it would have been blasted in the media by now. Think about it: Which sells more copies? "Phoenix has accident!!" or "Drunken Joaquin can't drive the line!!!" etc.
By Anonymous, on 12:31 PM
Just because he's a celebrity doesn't mean he knows how to drive.
......Actually many stars have problems doing everyday things like driving for instance.
These are people without 9-5 day jobs. There veiw of common sense is complete different than ours.
A lot these stars can barely manage to dress themselves, let alone know how to work the emergency brake.

Why is Drew Fuller in the photos?
Heh heh heh
By Anonymous, on 2:41 PM
who cares if he can drive or not? I just like looking at him and hearing that voice!!!
By Anonymous, on 9:07 AM
Just live the him alone...who didn't have an accident already? I did and I'm no movie star.
By Mary Poppins, on 5:46 AM
"Wimpy little roller skate??" Have you actually ever been a driver or passenger in a Ford Escape Hybrid??
1) Rather than "wimpy", it has excellent acceleration for dealing with freeway entry, accident avoidance maneuvers, etc. Sure, it doesn't have Jaquar-like "0 to 60mph" figures - but you're breathing MUCH cleaner air behind the Escape Hybrid!!!
2) It is big enough for the blind idiots driving other vehickes to see and take not of.
3) It is roomy and comfortable, instead of painfully cramped and pricey!
By MommaCat, on 11:22 AM
Oh, my God... Was Drew Fuller his passenger??? Poor guy...
By Anonymous, on 4:06 PM
Yeah... Why is Drew Fuller there????
By Anonymous, on 11:45 PM
Joaquin and Drew have a mutual friend - Balthazar Getty. Drew Fuller met Balthazar on the show "Charmed" - Joaquin met Balthazar on "Ladder 49". Drew participated in Balthazar's music video which Joaquin directed. That's how they know each other.
