I myself am a 29 year old male virgin. You can think I bullshitting you, but I swear it's the truth. This does not mean I am "repressed" or that I shut myself off from sexual thoughts or feelings. I too am Catholic and I wear a scapular also, and I can relate to what she's saying about how if you're in love, or think you're in love, you can't focus on anyone else.
We could argue that the interview is just a publicity stunt, but I see no reason why she would feel the need to do something like that. One can wonder if perhaps "never have had sex" actually just means "never gone all the way", but from the context of the rest of the comments I think she is quite serious, and actually means no sexual activity at all beyond maybe kissing.
I hardly think modeling for Victoria's Secret, and showing your nipples for photographers, is a shining example of Christian chastity, but it just goes to show three things one NOT assume: (a) all Latina women are hot tamales in the sack, which is an unfair ethnic stereotype, (b) "hot" looking women are necessarily experienced, and (c) all virgins look dowdy.
On the one hand, it is very encouraging to know that a sexy-looking 25 year old Catholic virgin who believes in love, marriage, and comittment actually exists. Too bad, though, that I personally don't find Lima that attractive or interesting. She comes off as kind of stuck-up, a real prima donna, and I would much rather date a non-virgin who sounded more interesting to talk to.
I suspect that's the catch-22: any celebrity virgin who might be an interesting person is also not inclined to be so gauche as to talk about their sex life, or lack thereof, with the interviewer.
Virgins are not necessarily more interesting people, and non-virgins are not necessarily more mature people.

I don't know why some of you people are so spoiled and primitive. I mean those who deny that Adriana is a virgin. I don't know her personally, but i communicate actively with lots of other models and they are also very sexy looking and acting, but even if they are being involved into fashion business with it's bad reputation, it does not mean they are whores. I know two girls that are 22 and 23 years old, modelling for 3 years and they are still virgins. Why? Because they have their principles, they believe in pure love and they are not going to waste their bodies as instruments. Sex is a good thing, but only when it's about mutual love between partners. Honestly, I think it takes guts to say that. I mean, it's the last thing you'd expect of a girl who's been modeling for the better part of the last decade. I'm 21 and still a virgin, and likely to stay one for another three years at least, not cause we believe in marriage but because we believe it has to mean something to us- and it's true relief to hear of a girl like this one hanging on to it. Whatever she means, some part of a 'first sexual experience' being saved for a husband seems to be part of it and I truly respect that.
