You mean she had some great tits. They're now the property of the Almighty Church of Scientology, and no longer belong to her.
Neither does her mind, apparently. Sucked out by Scientologists years ago. How else do you explain that glassy look in her eyes? Remind you of another much younger and more pregnant high-profile Scientology devoutee?
As for not taking their kid to get some treatment, well what goes around comes around. Good 'ol Jett will turn 30 one day and look back at the crapheap that was his life. He'll either curl up into a permanent fetal position or grab the nearest full gas can and burn down the Celebrity Centre. With his parents inside, of course, and do us all a favour.
It is funny that Scientologists think it is okay to go under the care of plastic surgeons and dermatologists but God forbid you take your sick child to the psychiatrist and have him take pills that help him get better.
How much more do we need to learn about Scientology before the FBI burns their compound to the ground?
Good Q!!! Most of the EU courts have prosecuted Scientology and I'm sure the IRS ought to look into their 'charitable' status and income, as churches are usu non=profits, not cults. is there not one journalist in the US who can do an expose?
I can understand, sort of, how someone could have gotten brainwashed by a cult back in the days before the internet. But now? God, when someone with an e-meter and a copy of Dianetics at the county fair invites you to come by his church for auditing, wouldn't you check it out online first? And yes, Kelly Preston's tits are amazing.
Theres been documented cases of journalists who have tried to uncover scientology and been harrassed, threatened or worse by the church. If you google some info you'll find lots. Theyre like the friggin mafia.
GOD DAMN these fucking ignorant TOOLS! Shut the FUCK UP! Poor, poor Jett Travolta. Poor, poor TomKitten. You would think these fuckers would have to be some kind of smart to make their shitloads of money but you'd be wrong: Cruise and Travolta have been bought and paid for by this vicious, tax-exempt, life-destroying cult all because they admitted during an "auditing session" that they liked to smooch tool. Fuck them and fuck $cientology.
You know, I heard her on a radio program a year or so talking about this. I do agree with her when it comes to ritalin and other drugs given to young children with ADD/ADHD. At the time I heard her, she made it sound like that was the problem with her son -- not autism. I think we are drugging our kids (and even adults) WAY TOO MUCH. BUT!!!! When you have numerous medical sources saying the same thing for years on end, you should do something about it. They are harming their child in the name of their "religion," not based on what would TRULY be best for him. They are ALL a bunch of fruit loops.
Many children with autism do NOT need drugs or psychiatric help. They need modifications in their life including being taught differently and need therapies (speech, OT, and behavioral depending on their specific impairments on "the spectrum") but most importantly need to be treated the same as any child and placed in a mainstream environment that brings them success. Having a public label will NOT do that with the stigma of autism (your last sentence confirms that stigma). I applaude them, if this is the case, for addressing that he has challenges and finding solutions WITHOUT broadcasting his "label"--I am a mother who is doing the same exact thing and know it's best for a child who has a high functioning form of this disorder.
For all my many years conducting clinical studies on children with allergies and other respiratory illnesses, I find it astonishing that Ms. Preston blames her son's condition on household chemicals. It is well documented that household chemicals have a cummulative effect on children. It is also well known that second-hand smoke is one the most harmful of triggers for those with a compromised respiratory system. It appears that Ms. Preston would much rather believe that household chemicals are at the root of her son's problems rather than recognize, consider, and take responsibility for her own irresponsible behavior as one of the contributing factors, since it is well known that she and her husband are both smokers.
True Story. Back in 97, I was 17, and saw Boogie Nights with a friend here in the Grove.
Jeff Goldblum and Kelly Preston were sitting RIGHT in front of me. I think they were filming HOLY MAN, here in Miami. We tripped out, because Jeff Goldblum was laughing really weird. But anyway. I remember he was kissing Kelly's hand, and acting REAL lovey dovey with her.
I was like, wait, isn't that Travolta's Wife?
Great, huh gossip from 9 years ago. There were no Blogs back then.
In her first movies, her breast size and shape were consistent with her body. Now her cleavage is more prominent and out of proportion, thus she appears to have had breast implants, which is most apparent since starring in Jerry Maguire and Holy Man.
I remember that episode of Montel... I have absolutely no idea why on earth I was watching it, but I remember seeing it. She does have a point about the chemicals in the homes and how carpets can promote allergies, yada yada, common sense stuff. People do need to be more careful about that stuff, because it will make you sick.
HOWEVER. I don't really see how that's going to cause autism.
What was scary to me about that episode was the way she seemed to be actively trying to get Montel to join the cult. She kept going on and on about L. Ron Hubbard's detoxing program, and how Montel should do it, and she just sounded like a psycho lady.
I agree with the previous poster that labeling the child as "autistic" will do absolutely nothing to help him through life, and many people with autism are highly capable of being more than just functional in society. However, these people are crazy, and someone needs to take the kid to the doctor!
*I'll have six days before they realize I'm not breakdancing and call a damn doctor*
You've had some funny shit in your blog, but this is the funniest!!! And good comment about scientologists taking drugs for their facelifts and boob jobs, but denying it for their children! True!

They're nothing but a bunch of hypocrits who need the psychological help way more than any of the rest of us.
The reason the gov will never shut down these nutballs is tax money. Odds are the "Church" of Scientology pays a bit more than David Koresh did. If anything he was probably avoiding his. Play by the rules (read: pay your taxes) and you can get away with almost anything.
Also consider the star-power which would be used in their defense. Who did the Branch Davidians have? A bunch of borderline militant survivalist types who the gov sees as a threat to begin with.

I don't think you should keep having your title with the word crazy for every scientologists... personally, I disapprove with many of their actions and thinking, but this is someone's religion/culture.. and to claim it crazy is just not the right word here... if to be fair, you should claim other religions as crazy too... for example, take christianity for instance.. they pray to a guy who's nailed to the cross hundreds of years ago, and if they don't believe him, they are told they'll end up in a place called hell with burning lava in the afterlife... now that's crazy...
that can be said to just about any religion out there.. but depends on how big that group of "cult" is... I don't see people in Middle Easy claiming Muslims to be some cult beliefs... despite many of their actions being barbaric seen from our eyes.. maybe that's the exact same way they see christianity and other beliefs.. so, show some respect to other's beliefs...

When you have a cult asserting that its doctrine supercedes proven medical practice, they deserve any and every resulting shitstorm that befalls them. Now, when that doctrine threatens to harm to an individual unable to decide for himself that he/she needs professional, not anecdotal, treatment for a serious psychological condition, then socitety bears the burden of exposing those beliefs as dangerous. In this case, you have two adults committing real harm to their own child. Fuck meds, at least acknowledge the kid suffers from a recognized, real condition--not an allergy to "Love my Carpet."
Scientology is a corporation, not a religion. Understand that. Hell, most of Europe chased out Scientologists like sewer rats. Don't be a hyprocrite. You can't tell us not to call Scientology crazy out of respect for their beliefs, and then turn around and label Christianity as crazy. Also, using "for example" and "for instance" in the same sentence is redudant.
I've never seen an autistic child be cured by any means, so how could his life be in jeapardy?
All you people are talking like you've gone back to the dark ages ---- "Thou shalt not stray from the acceptable norm, and norm is those things that I say are acceptable".
Come on people - EVERY religion is a cult. It's all about extreme belief in something that nobody has ever seen or proven. Have you ever looked up the word "religion"?
RELIGION: the service and worship of the supernatural (2) : commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance
since when is autism generally treated with antipsychotic drugs? A friend of mine recently told me he is autistic... He's 22 and I had no idea. The boy has no physical danger, autism is a social and and learning problem. I'm sure scientologists don't have a problem with teachers! Oh, thats not to say that I dont think scientology is a bunch of shit. I've done a lot of research on it. Go to Wikipedia to get a start if you're interested.
Anon 1:35, they may very well be tax exempt, and probably are. Glaring oversight on my part. Doesn't change the fact that their followers are filthy stinking rich and not people you want to piss off. In fact most polititians do everything short of going down on celebrities to gain their favor.
I have a sneaking suspicion that some of these posters are hubbardites. Anyone who would defend people who don't speak to their newborns for a week are some seriously crazy mammajammas and need a straitjacket NOW.
Just a question, Todd, I have never seen any comments removed by the author before--are you actually afraid of litigation by these lowlifes?
umm i'm no expert, but my daughter got kawazaki syndrome when she was 11 months old and she was treated with a blood byproduct transfusion and home from the hospital in 4 days. the symptums of kawasaki are not even comparable to those of autism. that chick is a moron. anyone remember the teen boy who had skizofrenia and stabbed his mom (who was like some big wig top of their church) like 111 times or something cause they didn't have him on proper medication? then when he went to jail all the scientologists turned their backs on him. poor kid. to me that equals child abuse. he never had a chance cause he was born into that cult.
anyone else find the name "Scientologist" to be a bit of an oxymoron? If i didn't already know what a bunch of dickweeds they were, I would assume by their name that they followed the practices of SCIENCE--thus including MEDICAL SCIENCE. They really should brand themselves something that goes along with their core beliefs more, such as "space invaders take over the earth-iology" or something of the like.
WTF is with you people. You act as if her hair runs all over her body.
What you see in the picture is normal for most women. Just because you assholes have to shave every hair off your bodies these days because you think it's like having kooties. It's not overgrown. It's fine. YOU are the ones with the problem. Look in any skin mag from 5 years ago and back.
Keep shaving yourselves bare every week. THATS REAL NORMAL. I like my vag to look like a prepubescent girl scout cookie!
autism is a spectrum disorder, meaning there are many different levels...you have high functioning autism or aspergers, then there is PDD...I work with children who are very low functioning autistic individuals, all with severe behavioral issues. Yes, most of the children I have are on some sort of medication, but to say autism is generally treated with antidepressents is not so. Autism affects language and social skills, generally with the lower functioning cases due to the language barrier frustration comes to play, hence the behavior issues you encounter. Hopefully if their child does indeed have autism they have at least looked into therapies that are offered (ot, speech, pt....) there is so much out there to assist without the use of any meds....
How horrible, those idiots. I had that as a child and one of the common links to children who have this sickness is chemicals found in some professional floor cleaners. I was so uncomfortable. Pulling my flesh off my finger tips. The bruising rashes. The strawberry tongue and of course my favorite traumatizing part, random paralysis. Good parents they are.... Really this disease can cause a ballooning in you arteries. What a painful place to be. How could they watch their son go through that. If I never thanked my folks for taking me to Scottish rite and all those lovely folks trying to make sure is was as comfortable as possible. THANK YOU!
As someone from Tampa Bay, I can tell you that the cult doesn't really run rampant around here. They pretty much keep to themselves, in the downtown Clearwater area.
I had a friend in high school who was doing a paper on Scientology. We went down to "Scientology Country" in Clearwater where they have their church and everything. It's VERY creepy to see the people all walking around dressed alike.
I highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in town.
I agree that you have to treat autism with behavioral techniques and not solely medication. However, you cannot get access to these services unless your child has a DIAGNOSIS. Get that child to a developmental pediatrician for god's sake. Stop being selfish.
OMG, I was up late last night reading that Penthouse article about L.Ron Hubbard Jr. and I bookmarked the site because I was sleepy. Went to look at it a few minutes ago and it came up, froze, shut my browser software down and NOW the Penthouse article site's domain is expired. WTF? Sorry but it's a little too coincidental for me.
If anyone has the energy, could they find it again in the WayBack machine?
Nevermind... I see that all comments are being moderated now.
There is NO medication for autism! Where did you get antidepressants and antipsychotics? Sometimes they are given the same medication given for ADHD, but that is all!
As a Special Education teacher who works with Autistic children, I feel that they are doing their son a disservice. I'm not an advocate of drugging children, but sometimes it is necessary. Their son needs the proper treatment. Scientology is a cult, not a religion.
Scientology absolutely is tax-exempt. They went to court in the late 80s/early 90s and were granted tax-exempt religious status. That's how they can call themselves a "religion". It's all about the money, it's not about saving anyone. Previously, the IRS had attempted to audit them, only to have been infiltrated by under cover Scientologists and various levels of IRS workers have had their safety threatened repeatedly. They ARE crazy. Unfortunately, I have a relative in Scientology and she's a fruitcake. They will probably take over all of Tampa eventually, they are buying property like they've stopped making it.
In my opinion, no true "religion" would turn people in need away because they couldn't afford to pay for their "saviour". If you have no money, Scientology is not interested in you or any of your problems or afflictions unless you agree to a billion year contract to work for them and to work off everything you should have paid for. That's why they wear those ugly brown potato sacks around Clearwater. They aren't allowed anything else and they have no money.
So, make no mistake, they are an extremely dangerous CULT!
i'm looking forward to the next generation of crazies and all the shit they're gonna pull. seriously, you know you can't wait for danny masterson to start jumping on couches, and beck to start denying his children proper mental treatment....admit it.
but seriously, i can't wait for the next gen of scientologist crazies come out and take over the tabloids. i mean, danny masterson jumping on couches, beck denying his children proper medical and psychiatric aid, laura prepon and chris masterson traveling the world "promoting" a movie and their plastic marriage. it'll be awesome, admit it.
The truth will out soon enough. And all believers in scientology will know the truth of their deceptive beliefs. As for Jesus being some clown, which some previous poster wrote, all I can say is that my your convictions carry you to the other side of this exsistence and support you during the judgement that is waiting for us all, you will tremble at the dawn of that day, I can tell you.
I dont agree with the beliefs of scientology. Especially since there members can do nude scenes, and have simulated sex scenes with people who arent there husband and wife.
Johnny T sucks and...
The only good thing about Kelly Preston is that beautiful bush of hers. She actually looks like a woman instead of a 10 year old!

for example, take christianity for instance.. they pray to a guy who's nailed to the cross hundreds of years ago, and if they don't believe him, they are told they'll end up in a place called hell with burning lava in the afterlife... now that's crazy..."

Every religious faith is a cult.
But only a cult when it's not your branch, right?

since when is autism generally treated with antipsychotic drugs? A friend of mine recently told me he is autistic... He's 22 and I had no idea. The boy has no physical danger, autism is a social and and learning problem. I'm sure scientologists don't have a problem with teachers!
Oh, thats not to say that I dont think scientology is a bunch of shit. I've done a lot of research on it. Go to Wikipedia to get a start if you're interested.

oh man, this is a new low. i'm starting to think that scientologists are even stupider than our president.
By Anonymous, on 3:32 PM
I guess Scientologists don't believe in waxing or shaving either.
By Anonymous, on 3:33 PM
Anon 1:35, they may very well be tax exempt, and probably are. Glaring oversight on my part. Doesn't change the fact that their followers are filthy stinking rich and not people you want to piss off. In fact most polititians do everything short of going down on celebrities to gain their favor.
The "Church" is safe.

I have Asperger Syndrome (an Autism Spectrum Disorder), and this makes me want to vomit.
And Autism itself isn't generally treated with antidepressants - the side disorders, such as depression, are.

gebba - some pubic hair is sexy. Nobody likes playing ball on an overgrown field.

anyone else find the name "Scientologist" to be a bit of an oxymoron?

By Tampa Bay Native, on 10:30 AM

By Anonymous, on 11:13 PM
so the FBI should kill all the scientologists? yeah.. they did such a bang up job in waco, killing kids.
you're a dumbass.

As a Special Education teacher who works with Autistic children, I feel that they are doing their son a disservice. I'm not an advocate of drugging children, but sometimes it is necessary. Their son needs the proper treatment. Scientology is a cult, not a religion.
By Anonymous, on 2:33 PM

HAHAHAHAHA and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!
but seriously, i can't wait for the next gen of scientologist crazies come out and take over the tabloids. i mean, danny masterson jumping on couches, beck denying his children proper medical and psychiatric aid, laura prepon and chris masterson traveling the world "promoting" a movie and their plastic marriage. it'll be awesome, admit it.

By Anonymous, on 8:04 PM
I dont agree with the beliefs of scientology. Especially since there members can do nude scenes, and have simulated sex scenes with people who arent there husband and wife.
Johnny T sucks and...
The only good thing about Kelly Preston is that beautiful bush of hers. She actually looks like a woman instead of a 10 year old!
