I've read everyone's comments. Some are more abrasive than others. But, hey, it was still free speech in this country the last time I checked! (about 15 mins ago?) Anyway, here's my "two cents": Sharon has come a long way since TOTAL RECALL, which was when I noticed her. Personally, I think she's still smokin' HOT and I'd gladly go out to dinner with her and maybe even PAY for it! Others on my HOT list? I've put much thought into all the opinions I have read, before I decided to add my own. As an older woman myself, and a Sharon Stone fan of many years, I have always enjoyed her stage appearance. The minute I read, years ago, that Michael Douglas bailed on the Sequel I knew it was a goner-and that was over seven years ago at least. Whoever in Hollywood green lighted a sequel to this 14 year old skin flick needs their ass kicked. It's not like we're talking "Alien" with Sigourney Weaver which had a huge hit sequel many years after the original. In that case the sequel provided stunningly advanced special effects and a strong plot to captivate even those who were not born when the original came out. In the case of Bullshit Instinct 2, watching Sharon stone lez out, take it doggie style (yawn), and kill people with an ice pick-again, equates to nothing more than an embarrassingly stale deja boo.
How many of those who commented, actually saw the film? It was actually thought provoking from a psychological standpoint, and, she looked AMAZING (and clearly, her breasts are real)!
Further, those referring to her as "stupid", may want to look up her stats - she's a member of MENSA. I surmise that those who commented negatively are mostly bitter men, with sub-average IQs who wouldn't stand a chance of getting next to such a brilliant, confident, woman.!
Sharon Stone is HOT! Basic Instinct 2 wasn't that great of a movie because the rest of the cast were nobodies, and the script wasn't that well written. That's not her fault. Her acting was great and she's sexy as hell, that alone is enough for me to sit through it.
I think this movie marked the first time I've ever looked away from a sex scene. Not because others were in the room; but because I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't need therapy in order to orgasm in the future.

What are you people going on and on about? You talk about age like it's a bad thing, or like looking good and being 48 is contradictory. Sharon Stone looks amazing.
But what gets me is that you're all attacking her for something that's pretty normal for the business. You don't think Tom Cruise gets these perks and more?? She may not have his star power but her requests weren't actually that extravagant given that this is a multi-million dollar movie!! How many of you are in the business? Who cares why she needs three nannies?? During the first Basic Instinct her rider included that she keep her entire wardrobe - and that was before she was even famous!
But what matters is where all this hostility is coming from. Here's a hint: it ain't about Sharon... Live your own life. This negative, hateful, resentful mentality is really self-destructive.

I would have to say that the criticism for her demeanor lately and her playing such a raunchy part in this movie has little to do with her age... I don't care if Jessica Alba was doing this movie with all the nudity, it still WOULD NOT BE CLASSY behavior. It's disappointing to see someone who used to rely more on talent to sink to such a level. She's trying to prove that "older" women are still sexy... there's a way to do that without making softcore porn and telling young girls to give BJs rather than get raped.
Seriously. This has nothing to do with jealousy. Nothing to do with the fact that she's approaching 50. It has everything to do with her having no class. I'd say the same thing about any 20- or 30-something actress out there.

Sharon...live a life. you've made your money. you made a freaking movie. now take your "bod" and go somewhere else with it. I don't feel sorry anything for you. You have to own up that your movie sucks and that you should have taken a more serious role more befitting your age and looks. and let people remember you in Basic Instincts I for what it was. Move on and do a better movie w a better script. Dont try to play the sex bombshell...do something meaningful now. For God's sake...look at the negative responses here!!!!

I've put much thought into all the opinions I have read, before I decided to add my own. As an older woman myself, and a Sharon Stone fan of many years, I have always enjoyed her stage appearance. She did and still will offer the movie industry talent and beauty. Perhaps, her decisions of script choices haven't always been perfect; but I've got to admit and I honestly hope you all will be "true to yourself" and agree with me.........we all have made script desasters through our lives. We live with them and move on; as I feel confident Sharon Stone will as well. I haven't seen the movie and I will take everyones opinions to heart and will not go see it. I don't frequent movies that exploit women in a degrading manner; but I WILL be looking forward to another opportunity to view Sharon Stone in a better performing role choice.

Um I read these posts and I keep seeing Tom Cruise's name pop up, but you forgot one thing about Tom Cruise, his MOVIES ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY!!! I am not a huge Cruise fan or am I a Sharon Stone fan but to ask for ridiculous perks, especially when your movies don't make money is just plain retarded. Maybe Sharon's reasons was the fact that she knew she was never gonna get the chance to ask for 14 mil or all that crazy stuff she wanted during the filming because deep down she knew that this was her swan song as a celebrity who gets top billing in a movie. Is she wrong for it maybe...maybe not. Well what should she do now?? I say get off the high horse,humble yourself and get a network TV show. That seems to be the thing to do for has been movie stars these days. Geena Davis (Oscar Winner) Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen,Denise Richards,Jon Cryer,James Caan,Kiefer Sutherland and I can go on have all converted to TV, so Sharon I suggest if you want to keep working in that town..get over yourself....stop being a pain in the butt and start making TV pilots because your career in movies are over!!

Perhaps we should get VP Dick Cheney to do the next film? His rider is only 1/2 a page long (decaf soda, coffee, a room with a bed in it and a TV that gets Fox News), he hasn't had plastic surgery and movies featuring him make money (OK, he didn't exactly promote Fahrenheit 9/11).

I ACTUALLY DON'T THINK IT FLOPPED BECAUSE OF sHARON. BI THE FIRST MOVIE WAS A SUCCESS BASED ON THE CHEMISTRY INTELLECTUAL PLAY BETWEEN HER AND MICHEAL DOUGLAS. I THINK NOT GETTING A COSTAR ON HIS LEVEL WAS THE BIG MISTAKE. IT TAKES 2 PEOPLE TO MAKE A RELATIONSHIP GOING-I DON'T KNOW WHO THE HELL THIS ACTOR IS THAT SHARON WAS SAYING WAS SO GREAT ON THE TODAY SHOW BUT THEY HAD NO* CHEMISTRY WHATSOEVER. The minute I read, years ago, that Michael Douglas bailed on the Sequel I knew it was a goner-and that was over seven years ago at least. Whoever in Hollywood green lighted a sequel to this 14 year old skin flick needs their ass kicked. It's not like we're talking "Alien" with Sigourney Weaver which had a huge hit sequel many years after the original. In that case the sequel provided stunningly advanced special effects and a strong plot to captivate even those who were not born when the original came out. In the case of Bullshit Instinct 2, watching Sharon stone lez out, take it doggie style (yawn), and kill people with an ice pick-again, equates to nothing more than an embarrassingly stale deja boo.

How many of those who commented, actually saw the film? It was actually thought provoking from a psychological standpoint, and, she looked AMAZING (and clearly, her breasts are real)!
Further, those referring to her as "stupid", may want to look up her stats - she's a member of MENSA. I surmise that those who commented negatively are mostly bitter men, with sub-average IQs who wouldn't stand a chance of getting next to such a brilliant, confident, woman.!

Sharon Stone is HOT! Basic Instinct 2 wasn't that great of a movie because the rest of the cast were nobodies, and the script wasn't that well written. That's not her fault. Her acting was great and she's sexy as hell, that alone is enough for me to sit through it.

I think this movie marked the first time I've ever looked away from a sex scene. Not because others were in the room; but because I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't need therapy in order to orgasm in the future.
If I were the producers, I'd hold Sharon responsible for not being able to rake in the 14 million Plus bennies that she was asking for. Shit, if you want it, earn it.
