She IS unrecognizable, and not because of the missing black guy. It's because of Photoshop. Took her mole-covered skin and made it look like flawless velvet. And to this day, people STILL get fooled by these heavily-retouched photos, which is unfathomable to me. Bet she wished she looked even close to what she looks like in MarieClaire. The comment isn't making fun of black guys. It's making fun of inter-racial relationships. In the 60's miscegination (I'm not going to look up the spelling.) was illegal in most states. Man, I thought we had lost that mentality, at least out in the open. Still, as a product of one such marriage, I'm not offended. In the future, though, go for witty and not crass. Something like, "I don't see any George Forman (black guy)'s grills.

Anon 3:38 - finally somebody said something relevant! As an Australian, the nuances of black/white relations in America pretty much pass me by. But what struck me about this image - the magazine cover is blathering something about "GET FLAWLESS SKIN" ... wonder if the article tells you how to get your photo retouched so much you look more like a robot than an actual person. Seriously, she could be a cartoon she looks so fake. I saw another photo like this recently, of Jennifer Lopez, where she was SO airbrushed all humanity had been taken out of her face.
When will they realise that we can tell they've been photoshopped and they look entirely unreal? She has about as much animation in her face as a Barbie doll!

huh? i don't get it... i suppose the actual post should then not contain the "(black guy's)". but why should anyone associate julia stiles with george foreman? because he's black? that's really not the first thing i think of when i read "george forman". i think "grills". and then i'd be "what has julia stiles got to do with grills?" has she been in several movies opposite a grill in the male leading role? or does she simply often portray people who are very fond of grilled goods?

hey,im not american, so bit of an outsiders view; i havent really seen either of the films she did with leading black men...but as the US film industry is relatively reluctant to finance films with inter racial relationships, cos the audiences wont like it, i still think u have a bit of a problem..and remembering julia stiles as the one actress that has starred in such films underlines the problem

I'm a white girl and I thought the joke was mediocre.
But yeah, I (personally) don't really see how that joke says anything bad about black guys. Maybe someone who is offended should explain why.
I suppose the fact that those two movies are so conspicuous shows how few minorities are in major films? But inadvertantly pointing out racism isn't the same as being racist.
And not to overanalyze (probably too late for that), but I don't think it's hypocritical to be more accepting of controversial race-related humor from Dave Chappelle than from a white guy. It makes a difference. And if we want to do away with this p.c., color blind, "we-are-all-exactly-the-same!" stuff, let's admit that that is a pretty natural/reasonable viewpoint for everyone to have.

How this girl gets any acting jobs is beyond me. She's got a huge head with a face that's not even remotely pretty, is flat as a board and she can't act for shit.
