The Karen Carpenter point of no return is when the disease has affected the body so much that recovery could be deadly. Karen died when she had a heart attack because her circulatory system could not support her body at a healthier weight. Essentially, at some point with eating disorders, the body is so weakened from lack of nutrition that it can never be healthy again. It's not a matter of merely gaining back the weight. It has to be done in a way that doesn't cause the organs to shut down from over-use.
Give her a fucking break! She lost HOW much weight an has a disorder- it will take her time to gain it back....the fact that she's evenput on 5 lbs. is a step in the right direction.
BTW, people don't have to be ugly to think she's pretty- it's all about personal taste.....

Hey, loved the post (hehe). But seriously, this girl is clearly anorexic (10 years ago I was hospitalized with anorexia - I know). It is a severe mental illness that destroys a persons body (organs, bones, teeth) and mind. She may be smiling on the outside, but the mental battle is a living nightmare. I just want to say, for any girls out there who may also be struggling with anorexia and/or bulemia: Get help as soon as possible. You can talk to a therapist, a nutritionist, any doctor, or search one of the gazillion websites. You will be glad that you did!
