I don't understand how people constitute that signing a pre-nup means there is "no love". I mean seriously, approximately 98.9785% of Hollywood marriages end in divorce, so why can't she protect the fact that she makes a shitload more money than he does?
The prenup is also about how Tom Cruise screwed her in their divorce. In Calif where they were married, the magic number is 10 years. That is considered a long marriage in this state, and a long marriage may allow one party to challenge and overturn a prenup. Note that Cruise filed for divorce at something like 9 years, 11 months and two weeks into their marriage. That was no coincidence. Had they made it to their anniversary and then he filed, she'd have possibly been able to clean up. As it stood, she had to abide by the prenup she signed 9 years earlier.
I think that's a really shabby way to treat a woman who hung with you for that long, but hey, she signed it and it was good enough for her then; it should be good enough for Keith Urban now.
Love means taking a risk. Trying to minimise that risk with contracts, conditions and lawyers is not only foolish and naive but it also ensures the relationship is doomed to fail.
They might think they're genuinely sincere about each other but having lived in the unreal world of fame, fortune and publicity for so long they don't even know the meaning of the word anymore. Their fame and careers are what really own them.
