  • Please let it be Mark Hamill. Please let it be Mark Hamill. Please let it be Mark Hamill.

    By trixie24, on 12:17 PM

  • Hell yes he is. I'd hit that.

  • Christian Bale is 10,000 flavors of delicious.

    By Isial, on 12:27 PM

  • he's hot and all but after seeing those uncensored pics from American Psycho, I will always think of him as the guy with the weird wiener.

    By Brandy, on 12:30 PM

  • Life would be better if i had Christian Bale's cheekbones.

    By sam991, on 12:31 PM

  • Umm...HELLO!? Jack FUCKING Nicholson already played The Joker. And Jack FUCKING Nicholson is the awesomest man alive so no one else can ever play that part.

By Oedipa Maas, on 1:04 PM

  • LOL. mark hammill...worst actor ever!

    By Anonymous, on 1:13 PM

  • christian bale ruled in Batman Begins.

    By Anonymous, on 1:14 PM

  • Hugo Weaving... it's really the only way.

Although, since he played V, probably not. But I'll take just about anyone over Robin Williams for this one. Needs to be a serious actor... not someone who is a retarded clown in real life.

  • Marquee de Sade?

    Bwahahahahaha.

    Silly Aussies.

By the pen of my aunt, on 1:34 PM

  • Agent Smith as The Joker.
    Hmmm, I don't know.

By armchair casting director, on 1:35 PM

  • WTF? Robin Williams is hilarious! I still laugh my ass off whenever I watch Aladin. He is the Genie! I say get rid of the Joker and make the character the Genie!!!!

    By Anonymous, on 1:35 PM

  • Damn,I'd sell my right ovary to get next to that. Is it wrong to say I want to eat a sundae off of his chiseled abs?

    By Anonymous, on 1:42 PM

  • Whoa--take it easy. Haven't you ever heard Mark Hamill's Joker voiceovers on that animated Batman series? F'in brilliant!

    By trixie24, on 2:10 PM

  • The only two actors on that list that could pull off a good Joker are Paul Bettany and Mark Hamill. The rest of those guys are straying way far from type. Jackman needs to sit by his phone waiting for the next X Men sequel. Sandler should stick to burning dogshit and talking like a retarded baby. Hugo Weaving while entertaining in Matrix and Lord of the Rings, needs to put some sunscreen on his forehead and take a break for the summer. Jude Law and Sean Penn.....no. To paraphrase Chris Rock those two would have "a better chance of winning the bronze in female gymnastics" than they do at being the next Joker.

  • i've adored christian bale ever since seeing him in short-pants-and-kneesocks-hitlerjugend uniform ind "swingkids". is that weird?

    By Anonymous, on 3:39 PM

  • Just because Mark Hamill can do the voice for the Joker doesn't mean he can play the Joker on the bigscreen. There's a reason that voice actors are voice actors.

  • I nominate Louie Anderson to be the Joker. He's about as talentless and humourless as Robin Williams, but seriously Anderson would be 100 times funnier to look at in a Joker costume.

Jack Nicholson was a good old Joker, but the new movie takes place when all the characters are young, so unless they spend the next 10 years digitally slimming Nicholson down and wiping away liverwarts and those crevices in his forehead, I suggest they logically choose a younger fellow and release the movie before A.D. 2016.

My real vote goes to Hugo Weaving.

  • Excuse me for donning my geek beret, but I Lvoed the first Batman movies and what they're doing now is crap that's worse than The Island. Sure, it's getting good reviews, but that's because if it didn't, the houses of the critics would be crawling with enraged superhero fans. The only part in the movie I actually enjoyed was Killian Murphy.

Bring back someone interesting like Jack, and leave karate and ice training out of it. However, I do kind of like Robin Williams, though RV most certainly must've ruined his career. He's wrong for the role, though. I think Harley Quinn would be a great addition to this movie, so long as she isn't played by some thinks-she's-sexy stick like Bosworth or Barton, or someone ugly like Jessica Simpson.
If anyone has any idea who Harley Quinn even is, I congratulate you for sinking to my level.

    In three words, New Batman=Blech.

  • PAUL BETTANY! BRILLIANT!!

    By Anonymous, on 4:57 PM

  • You guys who don't think Robin Williams is funny don't seem to realize that the Joker isn't supposed to be funny. Unless you find beating a kid with downs with a catfish hilarious, because that's the twisted kind of humor Joker's about.

The Joker is creepy, and Robin Williams has been pulling off creepy quite well in his movies lately (RV included).

Anyway, Crispen Glover is a dead ringer to the Joker. So if Robin doesn't get the role, Glover should.

    By Anonymous, on 6:10 PM

  • Christian Bale... um,yeah. Um, yeah.

    I vote for Crispin!

    By Anonymous, on 7:02 PM

  • Crispen Glover as Joker would make me happy for years.

    By Anonymous, on 7:37 PM

  • I...love...Christian..Bale. Including his little songs and jigs in Newsies.

Agreeing with Brandy up top, I do have a different insight on Christian that wasn't originally part of my fantasy... the pube-free crotch (from clipped scenes of American Psycho) was kinda creepy.

    I am BATMAN

  • Has anyone checked out Mark Hamill's picture on IMDB. He has the classic Joker smile, Thank God Bruce Timm casted Luke Skywalker. What would be the most interesting if they also had Kevin Conroy do Batman, than things start to look interesting. C'mon he's been Batman for last 13 years, When people hear him speak everyone will know who he is. He even looks Bruce Waynish. What they really need to do is move on to another story line. There are other great characters to, Killer Crock who Richard Moll did the voice over for on the animated series and looks like the character, The Mad Hatter, Scar Face, Harliquinn, Bane, and a re-do of MR. Freeze who really had a reason for revenge. I loved Batman the movie except for all that damn screaming that Kim Basinger did, and Batman Returns was good but too much sound stage for my taste. All the other Batman movies after that excpet for Batman Begins was just crap. Know one can do a great of a job as Jack Nicholson, and have the presence of Michael Keaton except Kevin Conroy. I think integrating the animated series actors to live action would bring more people in to watching future batman movies. Just a thought.

  • I am thoroughly sick of Batman.

  • Adrien brody would be perfect if he didnt looked as such an altar boy. Vincent Cassel would be just perfect if they could manage to erase his french accent.

    By Chapa, on 12:08 PM

  • Ahhhh, 11:46, I love you.

    By trixie24, on 9:16 PM

  • That last paragraph was one of the most acutely funny cuttingest things I've ever read.

By das Es, on 12:30 AM

  • Is that an Oscar? Did Robin Williams win an Oscar? Was it for One Hour Photo? I KNOW it was!

    By Anonymous, on 12:22 PM

  • Speaking as someone who is a Paul Bettany fan....

I WOULD LOVE HIM AS THE JOKER.

but not so much as I love those pictures here.

    By Anonymous, on 3:00 PM

  • Mmmmm Christian Bale is so hot....mmmmm!

    By Anonymous, on 6:34 PM

  • Thankz Trixie24...I'm just a lil nerdy and optomistic...maybe one day if a director had some sence or Bruce Timm decided he would do a live action movie than maybe Batman can be taken seriously again.

    By Anonymous, on 2:53 AM

  • I cant get enough of that Christian Bale... he's the sexiest Batman ever!!!

    By Harley, on 3:32 AM

  • ahhhh, Christian Bale--i could eat him with a spoon!

    By pq, on 10:02 AM

  • Paul Bettany as the Joker would kick ass. I think the new Batman is more true to the comic/spirit of the character. 11:46pm - You rock, baby.

Christian Bale is my next baby daddy. I want his DNA in my loins. *swoon* Okay kids, off to order uncensored American Psycho to see some weird Christian weinerschnitzel.

    By LadyBlue, on 1:21 PM

  • oh christ look at those photos. now i have to change my panties.

    By Anonymous, on 11:43 AM

  • mark hamil would make a good joker,
i remember watching the sci f channel,& they showed this old show "the flash"(wasnt a very good show) but hamil played a character called the trickster (who was very of jokerish),he was really creepy

    By Anonymous, on 9:47 PM

  • Paul Bettany would be fine.

But Crispin Glover has been a fan-favorite for the role since the beginning, and still my first choice, if he ever can do the histrionic thing (not just the usual dead face). Also from the beginning is someone named Lachy Hulme, which I have no idea who is.

And, of course, after seeing this picture, Vincent Cassel has to be seriously considered!

  • I think Sean YOUNG should seriously be given consideration for the Joker. I Know she's a she but THAT would just add another weird layer to what she can bring to the role. I mean - hey - that lady is freaky. Plus, she DID try so hard to land the part of Catwoman for the second Bat flic.
