Well the money is being donated to whatever charity Brad/Angelina choose. They've said that plenty of times on entertainment shows. So yeah... stupid to pay that much when you can just rip off the pics from somewhere else, but at least the money will be going to hopefully a good cause.

I like this picture. It's the first one where they look like they're just doing what normal people do. After both my kids were born, I just stared at them for hours, hardly able to believe they were mine.
I'm glad Jolie paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for a diamond studded soother for her kid. I know the money would have just gone to waste if it had been donated to the poor. Shiloh definitely got angie's lips. It'll be interesting to see how she develops and who she'll take after. Zahara and Maddox are pretty cute/striking, and they'll continue to be as they grow older - especially Zahara.
I disagree with practically everything 'Brangelina' has done, starting with the whole affair thing that the two of them started while he was still married, and then having a kid before they were married (IF they get married, that is...) but I've got to grant them the fact that they're trying to 'help' poor countries and get awareness out. I agree with their goals, just not with how they conduct thamselves in their personal lives.

Angelina is doing great work to bring awareness of world poverty and social issues. I agree with her on that. I'm getting a little tired of feeling like her efforts of good will are lording it over the rest of us, as she is held up as a shining example/heroine. (I'm guessing there's more than a few of us who would do a lot of good if we had access to a good deal of money.) I'm not even exactly sure that I like the privacy of her family life and the sacredness of the birth of a child used as part of her crusade. Shiloh is a child, not a pawn, nor a posterchild. At base when I ask myself what I think of all of this, no matter how good the relationship between Angelina and Brad may be, I can't congratulate either of them on the way they have handled their personal lives, and the destruction they seem to have caused in favor of their new union. Could have been handled better? At heart, I think I have to say, I am very, very, sorry Jennnifer. It is worth $17,000 and it was given as a gift by the manufacturer with the intent that it be donated to charity, which I'm willing to bet will be done if it hasn't already. Is that a responsible thing to do when you have two small children that you have taken responsibility for? Did Brad have any commitment to these kids or her, before she let him become such a major part of their lives? If this relationship went sour for any number of reasons..say Brad was on the rebound and moved on, the hollywood romance fizzled, Brad went back to Jennifer, Brad developed a drinking problem, became a monk and stayed away from society for the rest of her life...what then? Please be careful what you say. He did not adopt her children, only their names were change. This was just so all the children would have the same surnames. There is a lot of debate about how the child looks or how she will look when she grows up. Waste of time and space for such arguments really. However she may look, with Plastic Surgery, does anyone think Shiloh will end up looking anything but perfect?
Angelina does get a lot of media attention and praise for doing so much goodwill and for adopting Maddox and Zahara, who otherwise would have led a life of poverty. This gives the impression that everyone in Cambodia and wherever Zahara is from are helpless and dying of poverty and are sitting around hoping that people like Brangelina will swoop in and give their babies a better life.
There are poor people everywhere, if she really cares, she would have offered to contribute to the original families of the two children to raise them. What she did though is just plain selfish.. someone who can do what she pleases because she has the money, like a spoilt rich kid.
There are millions of orphans in America who long to be adopted and given a better life. Why not adopt a child from one of these orphanages?
It is people like her who cause the many kidnappings and anguish to parents in China, Cambodia and many other countries. There is a whole business set-up in these countries to rip children off parents and have them sold to rich, childless Americans. 100 children may be leading a wonderful life, but does that justify 1 parent's tears for loosing their child?

I disagree with practically everything 'Brangelina' has done, starting with the whole affair thing that the two of them started while he was still married, and then having a kid before they were married (IF they get married, that is...) but I've got to grant them the fact that they're trying to 'help' poor countries and get awareness out. Angelina is doing great work to bring awareness of world poverty and social issues. I agree with her on that. I'm getting a little tired of feeling like her efforts of good will are lording it over the rest of us, as she is held up as a shining example/heroine. (I'm guessing there's more than a few of us who would do a lot of good if we had access to a good deal of money.) I'm not even exactly sure that I like the privacy of her family life and the sacredness of the birth of a child used as part of her crusade. Shiloh is a child, not a pawn, nor a posterchild. At base when I ask myself what I think of all of this, no matter how good the relationship between Angelina and Brad may be, I can't congratulate either of them on the way they have handled their personal lives, and the destruction they seem to have caused in favor of their new union. Could have been handled better? At heart, I think I have to say, I am very, very, sorry Jennnifer. I've never given much thought to her either, not a fan... not a Team Aniston nor Jolie player... but have to say... a world full of hurt can only be present in these pictures and the perpetuation of this melodrama. To Anonymous 4:42--Angelina didn't pay "hundreds of thousands of dollars" for that diamond studded pacifier. It is worth $17,000 and it was given as a gift by the manufacturer with the intent that it be donated to charity, which I'm willing to bet will be done if it hasn't already. And as for the other kids, there are supposed to be 6 photos from this shoot, they will probably be in at least one of those yet to be published.

The 17,000.00 plus dollar soother was a new born gift from a binky company in somewhere England.

Angelina simply did not purchase it on her own and I sincerely hope that she would auction it at a chic place like Sotheby's or Chrstie's for a bigger price and donate the profits!!

I don't admire their morals but I think it is admirable that
A -She kept the baby even though it was born during much controversy
B- That Brad supports her and legally adopted the little ones even though he was on the threos of having his "own" so called biological child
C- That Angelina adopted two little ones who otherwise would have been subjected to starvation and other dire consequences...
D- That she chose to publish images of her precious child when she could have cloistered the tot like the Afflecks all the time..but didn't and gave away the money 100%.
She didn't have to but she did and in my memory the only other celeb to do so was Claudia Schiffer who sold the pics of her first born Caspar and gave the loot to ComicRelief!!!
She may act a little stupid,a little wanton and a whole lot irresponsible sometimes but where her children(esp Maddox and Zahara) and all the little ones and the downtrodden in the world are concerned she is 100% a classy lady!!!!

I respect both of them as actors, personally at this time if I was to run into them on the street I wouldn't be impressed because of the things they have done in their personal life. As far as the baby goes...congrats!!! Don't see anything special and I am a little disgusted that America wasn't good enough to give birth to this child but the American public through gossip magazines are paying multi millions to be donated to some foreign charity when hard working folks in America struggle everyday to stay above water...Just my opinion...

She hooked up with a married man. (I don't care if the break up of his marriage came before they had sex or not). Seems to me, she hooked up with a married man, had him immediately exposed to her kids, so that very, very early in all of this Maddox was supposedly calling Brad "Dad". Is that a responsible thing to do when you have two small children that you have taken responsibility for? Did Brad have any commitment to these kids or her, before she let him become such a major part of their lives? If this relationship went sour for any number of reasons..say Brad was on the rebound and moved on, the hollywood romance fizzled, Brad went back to Jennifer, Brad developed a drinking problem, became a monk and stayed away from society for the rest of her life...what then? What would that do to little Maddox and Zahara? Wouldn't hurt a bit? Wouldn't be confusing? Was she lucky with Brad, that he adopted them? Did she have the supreme good judgement to know that he was going to father her kids no matter what became of the relationship...or...was this a pattern that potentially she may have repeated with other men, with every relationship?

Please be careful what you say. He did not adopt her children, only their names were change. This was just so all the children would have the same surnames. my parents were right about one thing.. look at a person's past and how they were raised. it's plain to see angelina has a very crazy past and brad just left his marriage for another woman. now despite how brad and angelina are or might seem or what charity they are involved in, those remain the facts and if this plays out badly, you can look right back to those facts. personally i don't care whether it works out for them or not. if they found true love, more power to them!

There is a lot of debate about how the child looks or how she will look when she grows up. Waste of time and space for such arguments really. However she may look, with Plastic Surgery, does anyone think Shiloh will end up looking anything but perfect?
Angelina does get a lot of media attention and praise for doing so much goodwill and for adopting Maddox and Zahara, who otherwise would have led a life of poverty. This gives the impression that everyone in Cambodia and wherever Zahara is from are helpless and dying of poverty and are sitting around hoping that people like Brangelina will swoop in and give their babies a better life.
There are poor people everywhere, if she really cares, she would have offered to contribute to the original families of the two children to raise them. What she did though is just plain selfish.. someone who can do what she pleases because she has the money, like a spoilt rich kid.
There are millions of orphans in America who long to be adopted and given a better life. Why not adopt a child from one of these orphanages?
It is people like her who cause the many kidnappings and anguish to parents in China, Cambodia and many other countries. There is a whole business set-up in these countries to rip children off parents and have them sold to rich, childless Americans. 100 children may be leading a wonderful life, but does that justify 1 parent's tears for loosing their child?
"If the buying stops, the kidnappings will too".
The media shouldn't keep painting a rosy picture of Angelina the Messiah who saves helpless foreign children. Someone who cannot see and take care of what is in their own backyard shouldn't go around the world trying to safe others.

Just remember folks, none of us would have a darn clue about any of the Jolie/Pitt clan if it weren't for the media - and we all know how reliable they can be in reporting the "truth". And it would just be another birth, like the rest of us had. I'm sure they feel it is too, it's just that the whole damn world wants to know about it - so why shouldn't they make use of the media and and donate monies made to charity - what better way, than on some selfish indulgence most stinking-rich celebs seem to do. Those children have 2 parents, are happy, fed, cuddled and listened to and will want for nothing - not too many kids in the world can be as lucky as that at a balanced chance of life. And who are we to cast judgement on people we don't even know, of situations we know nothing of or will ever be involved in - none of us are perfect in our personal lives I'm sure - why cast aspersions on those we don't know regarding relationships? Don't fool yourself into thinking those kids aren't going to be so spoiled that they won't have any sense of reality. Yes, the parent are rich, but they are rich because they 'pretend for a living.' There are many, many people who wait 25 years to make a million dollars, but they still contribute to the poor, help the needy, sacrifice time (which is scarce because they have to work more than 3 months to make 20 million --- they wait 25 years to make 1 -- as I've said) and these selfless humanitarians don't have magazines and the media running after them to annouce their donations of time and money.
The whole point of that pacifier comment was to show that they have double-standards. Jolie should give her own money to the poor and shut up about it. Having magazines gripe about baby-pics is ridiculous. Do you think People or Hello or whatever magazine is going to be recognized for donating the money? Of course not.

My favorite Brad movie was Fight Club. A little twerp like Pitt is an ass kicker? Whomever though up this premise is a F'n genius & should be FIRED. Charles Bronson in Hard Times he ain't. The cover pic on People with Brad, Angelina & baby is nice, but the more I see Angelina's face the more creepy it is. For example, she is staring at Brad, not Shiloh. She is watching the joy on his face. And while doing so, she looks a bit smug...sort of like "Yep, that right, check me out ladies, I'm the one who got Brad's seed implanted in me, ha ha ha, the rest of you can go to hell".
Man, I really dislike her. And yes, the baby looks like any ordinary newborn. I hate how the media is trying to play up this "golden child" of beauty. She'll probably grow up just like any other fucked up Hollywood kid that lives under the microscope. The other two kids will no doubt feel jealous. One will off themselves before he/she reaches 20.
