You can still have a cute nursery and clothes without blowing a fortune on it and save money for the constant growth spurt they'll have for the next several years of their lives.
Wills are generally not basically free for alls for the executor to decide who gets what and when. Usually a will, especially the will of a man worth as much as Aaron Spelling, are very precise as to who gets what and the executor cannot make the decision to cut someone out or leave them less than is specified in the will. It appears that the WILL left Tori that amount and Candy could dispose of some of HER inheritance by giving Tori more if she would like to. But Tori was a bitch and is getting her due. She won't be in the poorhouse. Her mother will undoubtedly give her more once she's learned her lesson.
Candy used to be a regular customer of mine in a store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. She would come in the store with sad Tori in tow. Tori must have been 14 years old? She was horribly awkward and would stare at her feet . Candy would belittle her in front of everyone and snap her fingers in our faces when she wanted something. she was simply atrocious. I always felt sorry for Tori and imagined how bad it must be for her in private if her mother did this in public. I am sure Tori would have traded in all the stuff she had as a child for a mother who treated her well and loved her. - I have been in Petit Tresor many times and don't get what's so great about it. Small, cramped, stuff you can buy any where or looks like you could anyway and the staff isn't helpful.
This just goes to show you: The ONLY thing you're entitled to in this life is what you earn for yourself. I have no idea what Aaron really had in mind for Tori, but I have seen this situation so many times in real life. I'm sure Candy will relent when her grandbaby is born, unless she is a total bitch. I'm no Tori fan and really couldn't stand her father's forcing her upon us on tv. It struck me as, well, creepy, but not quite Joe Simpson creepy. I am very sure however, that the great and talented Aaron Spelling would NEVER have left Tori only pennies and the kind of pain her mother is causing her now that he is buried and during her pregnancy no less. A million dollars ain't what it used to be. I could live on it in a disciplined fashion, but to go from megamillions to just a million is a huge fall. I've heard her interviews and she has a great sense of humor (about herself too!) and from these pix I'd say she is utterly beautiful. Awesome. Go ahead and bash folks but you all wish you had half as much as she has going on...I'd ride in Mel Gibson's car trunk to get a chance to sit poolside and munch finger sandwiches and guzzle fruit juice with this absolutely gorgeous creature!

Reading all of the comments gave me a headache.
Despite the fact she is a celebrity...the facts are that her father passed away, left a will, Candy is the executor. She only inforces what his wishes were. Anyway, where is it stated that when a parent dies the money automatically goes to the family. If he was a hard worker as indicated he probably felt he didn't 'OWE' them a damn thing. Make your own money, the way he did. Tori made money on 90210..prior to that she was working character actress on Saved by the Bell. She gets paid for residuals from 90210 being on Soapnet and don't forget it was on F/X forever. She has her own show on VH-1 and has made several LMN movies. There are residuals for those repeats as well. I am sure her allowance was huge, there was a probably a trust fund, etc. She is not broke ... and just being the man's daughter doesn't mean you get the money. And for those that indicated that she was so close to her father...how do you know. Looking at family photos at events, you wouldn't think there were deep rooted issues to begin with at all. If you say you do...stop lying....no you didn't not until all of this drama began....this happens everyday acrouss the country...someone being left out of a will...big deal.. it wasn't yours to begin with...all in all...a great creater/producer/director of countless hours of television is gone. Tori will be just fine... and so will everyone else..

I think Candy is a witch who bore an ugly troll for a daughter and never a day has passed since that Mommy Dearest has not reminded Tory that she is an ugly girl whom she is ashamed to be seen with as Candy was quite the working tart in her heyday. Despite the best surgeons' efforts to un-ugly Tori, the best they could do is shave the dorsal fin off her nose and suck and silicone her into Barbie. But still, Tori is by far noticably uglier than the average to ugly woman.
That said, it's also obvious that Mommy was jealous of Aaron and Tori's relationship: a loving and doting one. Now Mama is getting even with her ugly daughter since she holds the golden keys to dear dead culkholded Daddy's fortune.
I hope Tori takes that awful woman to court with the meanest and best legal team in Hollywood and ties up Candy's assets so she'll have to cut back on her lavish lifestyle as well until it's settled by a judge.
I'm no Tori fan and really couldn't stand her father's forcing her upon us on tv. It struck me as, well, creepy, but not quite Joe Simpson creepy.
I am very sure however, that the great and talented Aaron Spelling would NEVER have left Tori only pennies and the kind of pain her mother is causing her now that he is buried and during her pregnancy no less. A million dollars ain't what it used to be. I could live on it in a disciplined fashion, but to go from megamillions to just a million is a huge fall. It is much worse to know lavish living and to be forced to ordinary living on a budget than it is to be used to working paycheck to paycheck.
Last, I think Tori is probably well invested. Doesn't she have her own production company? She is close to her brother who runs the father's companies as well. I can't imagine that Aaron would not have taught his children to invest and save and roll interest, and further can't imagine the father's not having given each a hefty trust fund prior to his death. It's not like Tori blew her trust fund on Harvard or anything. So I think she's running a smear campaign on mean Mommy, and frankly, who could blame her. She is entitled to part of her father's estate, but playing the poverty card is kinda dumb. If anyone with the time or inclination would look up businesses they could find plenty of DBAs leading back to Princess. TSG anyone?
Oh, as to prior titty posts, Howard Stern said all that exactly already over ten years. Give Howie some props as he's not too happy these days.

Tori is ugly, but nothing worse in anybody's life than having an awful parent. Candy is terribly evil. A mother should always protect and care for your child. If Tori wanted to divorce the first husband because she fell in love and wanted to marry the other guy, the mother should support her decision. A REAL MOTHER OR FATHER WANTS THE CHILD'S HAPPINESS ABOVE ALL, so whatever decision Tori made should be supported by her family.
I am so much richer than Tori because I have a loving and caring mother and father. Not even the whole Aaron's 300 million fortune can buy that for Tori.
So, I feel sorry for Tori having such a terrible mother. I don't know if even a psychotherapist can help her.
