• Really, this is hardly surprising. "Dreamgirls" was meant to be Beyonce's star vehicle, but when they saw how amazing Jennifer's voice is, they (gasp!) paid attention to her. I don't feel bad for Beyonce at all. She's basically a modern day Diana Ross. Destiny's Child didn't stand a chance with her being in the spotlight all the time. The problem is, she's an ok singer. They just made her over and she lost weight. She's barely an actress and like someone mentioned, she isn't a classy figure. She's got a lot of money and tons of name brand stuff (If you want to know which brands, she mentions them ALL in her songs) and I don't know if it's just me, but her speaking voice sounds like shit. • Went to a screening of Dreamgirls at the Directors Guild in Los Angeles yesterday, Sunday the 26 or whatever and Jennifer Hudson owned that movie. Beyonce gave a great performance but even the director Bill Condin said during the Q&A that Beyonce wanted to be Deena and not Beyonce playing Deena. He said she had no problem playing second banana and new what the story was about as they got clips of the broadway show to watch before they started filming.
  
  And that little white girl has not a damn thing on Jennifer Hudson and if and when you see her performance in that movie which had a theater filled with industry people screaming and cheering when she sang "And I'm Telling You.... which is generally unheard of, you'll see Jennifer Hudson wears it the hell out. • COnsdiring the fact that Joe footed the bill for the whole creation of Destiny's child I think he had every right to give his daughter special treatment, she is by far the only stand out talent in the group anyway. Beyond that, Jennifer Hudson's voice isn't appealing. It's powerful but unappealing. I'm Telling You is one of the best songs ever made, and she managed to make it sound boring by neglecting to sing out the "I'm staying, I'm staaaaying" part. That is an important moment in the melody. Beyonce doesn't look like a good actress, but we'll see. And yeah, she is fucking gorgeous and talented and the best pop star we have right now so give her some credit.

• Beyonce thought her album would do better. Her first solo album went 3 or 4 times platinum. This one sold better the first week but has yet to go platinum. It has shipped a million but not sold a million and she has had no number one hits at all. Except on the R & B charts. She has only made it to about 12 on Billboard Hot and Pop. Whereas last record saw 3 #1's in a row I think. I'd have to check. Basically it's a real disappointment for her. Then the movie was supposed to garner an Oscar nom and all that hype is on Jennifer now so they put out a song for the movie hoping they will get an Oscar nom for the song. HA HA - This girl wants an Oscar anyway she can get one. Does it count if you get an Oscar for damn song when you really wanted one for your acting? I mean if you didn't act and only contributed a song - that's one thing but if you hurried up and threw a song in there cause some other bitch was taking all your glory and you wanted an Oscar - Is it the same? I hope she doesn't get a Oscar nom for either. I think her dad screwed the original members - the last members and has stepped on too many people. It's rubbed off on Beyonce and it's Karma coming back to bite her. It's the worst her album has ever sold in entirety and the worst her songs have charted. The movie will do well but Jennifer will have all the acclaim and hopefully the Oscar nom. And she deserves it.

They thought Alicia's was orginal whereas B's performance (the whole concept) was boring and uninspired. B couldn't stand it and the mood was not "so friendly" anymore.

  And on Destiny's Child, what people are referring to is not so much the final incarnation, but the original quartet of childhood friends who were screwed out of money. Beyonce was not the only person singing solos in the group, but her father was making sure that only she and her cousin Kelly were getting more of the profits. They brought in two new girls who lip-synched over the original girls' vocals in several videos and eventually one of those girls left the group as well. They only took Michelle because she was an awful singer and she was only too grateful to latch onto the group. As a critic once said about a song DC did [the one with Stevie Nick's guitar riffs], "Once Michelle opens her mouth it becomes a talent show".
  
  Karma's a bitch, and it's coming right back on her.

• Really, this is hardly surprising. "Dreamgirls" was meant to be Beyonce's star vehicle, but when they saw how amazing Jennifer's voice is, they (gasp!) paid attention to her. I don't feel bad for Beyonce at all. She's basically a modern day Diana Ross. Destiny's Child didn't stand a chance with her being in the spotlight all the time. The problem is, she's an ok singer. They just made her over and she lost weight. She's barely an actress and like someone mentioned, she isn't a classy figure. She's got a lot of money and tons of name brand stuff (If you want to know which brands, she mentions them ALL in her songs) and I don't know if it's just me, but her speaking voice sounds like shit.   ^^^^This is the realiest comment I've read so far, and I'm not reading every comment forget that! Beyonce is overrated, truly overrated! Drama brings more fans! When Destiny's Child lost two members the first time, drama 1, and then Michele and Farrah came, strike 2 now Dreamgirls 3-10 what the hell is wrong with people. Beyonce and her family have to keep stuff going to keep her record sales high and to keep her name coming out of everyones mouth. This is a modern day Diana Ross and The Supremes. Berry Gordy was smashing Diana Ross and they had a daughter (if you ever watch the Temptations movie she plays Paul's wife) Diana was the lead singer for the group. Not exactly the prettiest but they made her up enough to where she stood out and she most definetly wasn't the best singer but you wouldn't know that until after the group split up. Now we have Destiny's Child pretty Beyonce, Pretty Latavia, Pretty Letoya, ok looking Kelly. Alot of attention went towards Beyonce but I knew alot of people that were checking for Latavia and Letoya especially Latavia because she had the best body! Matthew Knowles, as you know shown favortisim to Beyonce and Kelly and treated Latavia and Letoya like dirt and who would want to be mistreated after all the papers are signed and you're making some serious loot? Why did she have to sing every song? Kelly can sing her ass off but she falls back and gives Beyonce a lot of credit. Letoya has a nice voice just found that out this past summer. Latavia I have yet to hear her. But you have to see where I'm getting at. Matthew and Tina Knowles knew what they were doing. Now Beyonce is on some Whitney Houston status how I don't know she couldn't out sing Whitney on her best day! And now we are surprised that she is jealous of Jennifer Hudson. I saw the Oprah show when they were all on and the look of envy messed my head up coming from Beyonce, it was sickening! They start alot of rumors and drama to increase record sales and ticket sales for Dreamgirls period. I will watch it on bootleg dvd I refuse to spend my money on something so tainted. I love Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy but Beyonce spoiled the whole movie. I saw clips of the movie and she still can't act, did she not have lessons????? I haven't paid for a DC cd since "Writings on the Wall" I have no other Beyonce cd in my collection and her new one I had the bootleg and I gave it away.
  
  
  Even on the cover of Essence it was Janet Jackson, Mary J Blige ( both are my girls) and Beyonce on the cover she had a problem with not being able to stand in the middle of the picture with Mary and Janet on both sides. Bitch are you crazy? Janet is a true veteran and Mary is most definetly one! I lost all respect that day after reading that. She is ego tripping fans will feed it to death but I can't contribute not when its bold and right there for the whole world to see and no one notices what kind of person she really is. Beyonce is no good role model. I thought Whitney was with the image she protrayed and you see the outcome some years later. But I'm glad my girl Whitney is back on track I love her!

• The only reason Beyounce is even noticed is she has light skin and nasty fake blonde and golden weave. If she had very dark skin and short hair who would even care?? She is not the prettiest black girl or the most talented singer. She cannot act. Her parents have pushed into to stardom and now just have thier eyes on the money. Her mom seems like a passive diva who allows her nasty husband to control every aspect of everyones lives. She seen some of her dad in Jay Z. I hate her singing and speaking voice. All her songs sound the same and have the same beat to them. She needs to be thankful her untalented ass has got this far.
