Angelina and Brad Are Merry

  • It's all bullshit. Have you noticed that they always visit places with nice weather? India...Columbia...let me guess, Thailand next, right? Wow, what hard work. Fuck, there's homeless people in Burlington, Vermont. I'd like to see that pussy and his fish-lipped whore sack it up and spend the day helping those outside in freezing weather.

They should not be let back into America, because they don't seem to realy care about the homeless there.

  • poor brad - how much crap he has to put up with just to get a good bang from angelina. i think she makes him spend more time in crappy places than they get to do so in their comfy mansions.

    By Anonymous, on 12:04 PM

  • I applaud their humanitarian efforts. But, I wonder why there is always a camera around to capture it? Two ways about it. One is that they want to bring awareness to the cause and two is that it could just be a photo-op. Hmmmmm.

    By Anonymous, on 12:07 PM

  • Anyone who thinks Angelina is even in the same universe as Mother Teresa is obviously an idiot. If Ang really wanted to help others, she'd just do it and leave the fucking papparazzi at home. But noooooo, there's never a missed photo-op in the land of Brangelina. Wonder where their own family was while they were off making headlines yet again? I bet the kids loved spending Christmas with the nanny entourage while "Mom" and "Dad" were off tooting their own damned horns again.

    By Anonymous, on 12:16 PM

  • Everyday is a Christmas holiday when you're a celebrity.
But I guess doing something somewhere is better than doing nothing nowhere.
Even for a photo-op. But do remember your neighbors and countrymen. We're the country primarily paying for the entertainment bucks to support the jaunty lifestyle.

    By Anonymous, on 12:19 PM

  • It's so easy to critisize the humanitarian efforts of others....What did YOU do for Christmas?? Try to make someone's life better (even temporary) or stuff your face and look for gifts from others??

    By Beanie, on 12:22 PM

  • They get so much press 'cause people like us read about them and buy the mags that feature stories about them. I don't get the feeling that either of them are "press hungry" but just doing what they love to do.

    By Anonymous, on 12:26 PM

  • ....and I hate them 'cause they're beautiful. :-) But doing great stuff in the world. Love the Mother Theresa comment!!!

    By Anonymous, on 12:27 PM

  • she's overrated. she's not that good of an actress, kind of freaky looking, and she's not the first person to do charity work.

    By Anonymous, on 12:29 PM

  • " Angelina Jolie is basically Mother Theresa with DSLs and way more sexual tension."

This is the best line you've ever written. Spot on.

Now get out of here and go feed a refugee (try www.heifer.org), ya big softee... and Happy Holidays!

    By Anonymous, on 12:34 PM

  • I guess Brangelina and I have something in common, 'cause I don't care about the homeless here, either!

    By Anonymous, on 1:25 PM

  • Even if all their charity work is for publicity, it's better than doing the shit Lindsay and Paris do to get attention. But I honestly think their hearts are in the right place. I think Todd hit it spot on.

    By Brandy, on 1:45 PM

  • India and Cambodia are impoverished, despite their weather. I wouldn't exactly say the humidity in those areas would make for good weather. But I do wish celebrities could focus more on problems here. At the same time, though, who are we to tell people what to do with their money?

    By Anonymous, on 1:49 PM

  • I can't stand her, she will always be a ho.

    By jannre, on 2:02 PM

  • Would someone please feed Angie something? I'm all about her brand of exotic, slender beauty, but I'm kind of afraid that her body might try to consume her lips for sustenance - she looks freakishly skinny. Just because she's around poor people doesn't mean that she has to starve herself to make them feel better about their plight.

By Andrea Dickson, on 2:03 PM

  • ...they bring the press with them, cuz that's the point. They are trying to raise awareness, and like their pal GC points out, the camera's going to follow them anyway, why not follow them to a refugee camp where it'll do some good. They don't make me feel like shit, but then again, I spent the last 5 days and evenings doing charity work, so....

    By Anonymous, on 2:04 PM

  • Yeah, she give millions of dollars to the underpriviledged. What a bitch.

    By sam991, on 2:17 PM

  • I think they care and they really are good people. But you know, there are people who give millions AND spend lots of their personal time doing selfless things WITHOUT getting any credit at all---mostly because they don't seek it.

    By Anonymous, on 2:27 PM

  • It's Mother TERESA, you tools. If you knew anything about charity you would at least know that. Not just what the fuck Angelina is doing this week.

    By Anonymous, on 2:30 PM

  • i'm so sick of these two and their constant need for attention.

    By Anonymous, on 2:36 PM

  • Fuck being glib comentary on how 'selfless' they are. They tire me the fuck out. Jesus.
Can't they ever do something, like, normal? Stay home woman and make a dinner! (haha, kidding so no feminazi retort..) And he can do something useful like fix that damned leaky faucet. You know, normal shit! Their constant globe trotting makes me tired and I love to travel- almost envy their going so many places, but then I think how nice it is to just stay in one place for longer than a day. Um, is it a neuroses , this life of contant moving about gypsy like almost- what are you running from?

Wouldn't be surprised if he is getting tired of this too. All this humanitarian upkeep. Christ. Mother Teresa could handle a steady diet of it, but most people need to take a break and some selfish time so they don't snap.

    By Anonymous, on 3:29 PM

  • Never, ever compare Angelina Jolie to Mother Teresa. That's what really annoys me the most. Mother Teresa gave her whole life to helping the poor. She would be horrified to hear that. Angelina has admitted to having more than one lover, being bi-sexual, marrying an engaged man and breaking up a marriage (regardless of when she and Brad hooked up, the fact is the marriage broke up when she became friends with Brad). I'm not saying she doesn't do good things for charity and I'm not saying she's a bad human being but I am saying she is NOT like Mother Teresa.

    By Anonymous, on 3:57 PM

  • Wouldn't it be something to see them join the Peace Corps for two years?

By Tetracon Rex, on 4:12 PM

  • WTF? Nice weather only for charity? anon 11:59am your a fucking tool! Who gives a shit if it's perfect weather? I'm sure the smell is real yummy were they're at. What the fuck did you do? Were you out in the cold helping people? No, and don't say you were because your a fucking liar!

Fuck me people. They are celebrities and there will always be a camera around because they sell stories!

Thank God for people like this to help anyone, anywhere in the world.

    By chuggdog, on 4:12 PM

  • The whole point of Jolie and Pitt visiting these places IS the publicity. The problems in the world are not that there isn't enough money to deal with them. The problem is that too many people don't know about the issues that Jolie draws attention to. So it's way better for her to give her time and create publicity about things that we all can try to do something about then to give money or time secretly.

And you know what? For all you dumbasses know, she might also be giving money and time quietly/secretly too -- you just don't know about those instances.

    By JT, on 4:46 PM

  • Can't believe there are so many anonymous pussies moaning about this and that. What the fuck did YOU do for humanitarian effort? Nothing? Then please shut the fuck up as if you know shit, retards! Way to show how shallow you are moaning when someone else is doing good for others. If you are so fucking great, make a difference yourself and stop sitting in front of the internet moaning.

  • For the sake of the kids I hope that they stop when Maddox is old enough to have memories. If they don't I can easily predict he'll be going to a therapist when he's 30, wondering why his parents would rather spend their Christmas's with underpriviledged children than actually have a real Christmas at home with their children.

  • I guess the little brown kids weren't ripe yet since they didn't procure a new one. Understandable that they were feeding them.

Oh, and Mother Teresa was really kind of a crusty ol' bitch whose myth includes a lot of misconceptions. She had a freaky fetish about suffering that would put most BSMD folk to shame and no problem taking dirty money. Read "Exposing Mother Teresa" sometime. She didn't exactly piss purity and goodness like most people seem to think.

  • The photo ops are intentional to draw attention to problems in the world. These two use their celebrity to help others. I admire them for not falling into the Hollywood lifestyle and for using their celebrity to aid those less fortunate. I wish more public figures would do the same.

    By Anonymous, on 5:50 PM

  • There are plenty of homeless people and orphaned(sp?) in America. Why do they have to go to other countries and do what they do? They should start at home first, but can they even call US their home anymore, since they are barely here?

    By Anonymous, on 6:31 PM

  • All of you negative people, go suck on it! Angelina is the most selfless actress around. Brad himself said before they were a couple that she gives 'staggering amounts of money' to charity... that means A LOT! And she definitely does NOT need the press, she's so damn beautiful and interesting, if she never did anymore charitable work, she'd never lack for publicity. She probably gets the photographer there to show the plight of the places she visits, 'cos she always issues a statement with the pictures, right?
I'm sick and tired of the Ang bashing, losers!!

    By Anonymous, on 6:49 PM

  • Photo op or not, they are doing something good. No, they don't spend their time flashing their crotches or sleeping with someone else's wife or husband (oh... wait...) anyway you know what I mean. They're using their money for a good cause, not wiping their asses with it like a lot of celebrities. Some of you should really get off of your pedestals.

  • America is the richest country, right? Maybe that's why they choose highly impoverished countries in which to raise awareness and give their money and time. Maybe if more Americans got off their fat cans and did more for charity in their own communities, Brad and Angelina could continue their good work elsewhere without having to hear your fat-assed complaints about where they choose to help others.

  • i guess when you're a couple of multimillionaires who already have everything you could ever need or want, there's nothing left to do on christmas but give a few toys to refugee children.

i hardly think it "noble" or "courageous" when the filthy rich share a bit of wealth, like it's costing them sooo much. please. if angelina and brad were making $30,000 a year and doing all this humanitarian work, then i'd be impressed. but to worship these celebrities who take home $50,000,000 a year for doing things that, given all their privilege, is their basic DUTY as moral human beings...is just stupid.

America's got plenty of money, unlike Outer Crapistan. Turn off your big screen plasma TV, stop eating Doritos and watching NFL Football, and do something yourself. Oh, and shut up.

By Rev. Dr. Fadumbwebwe, on 8:26 AM

  • Okay fine, they are good people. BUT I still don't have to like them. And I still think that Bill and Melinda Gates (who give away MUCH more $$$ who are MUCH more involved in grass roots work with the worlds most impoverished) paint a far more intelligent and humble picture than Brangelina. I still think this is 50% good works and 50% good PR.

And as far as them being "beautiful, rich, talented, selfless, generous and socially aware".....

beautiful--eye of the beholder. I think she looks not so hot these days with her scrawniness (vein in forehead much?)and her lack of curves and I think he looks ridden hard/put up wet.

rich--agreed. unless you're brandon davis :) they they are "like sort of not poor".

talented--again I question. I think brad has made some killer films but I think Mr and Mrs Smith was mediocre at best. And I think she's really not that good at all. I've never seen one of her films and thought...wow--that was a great performance. She's gotten by on being hot and being "naughty."

selfless--please. selfless people are the people who make anonymous donations

generous--absolutely. I commend them for this. but honestly, what's $3 million when you make $20 a movie?

socially aware--agreed. And thank god. If all of our celebrities were in the same class as paris, I think I'd probably never see a movie or buy a cd.

All in all, I think they do this stuff mostly for the right reason but it doesn't convince me that she's anything other than a conflicted troubled person seeking redemption for the things she's done through doing good (which is fine but seriously...the girl is a HEAD case) or that he is a douchebag without his own personality or interests, merely sapping meaning from his partners' passions....whoever his partner that year is.

  • MOAN MOAN MOAN. Holy shit man, if you don't want to read about them, don't read it. If you don't like them, then shut up. Why is everyone so critical? What the hell did any else of you do on Christmas morning? And who the fuck cares anyway what they've done, are doing, and will be doing? As for the paparazzi following them around, and never being out've the way of a camera lense... I think it's probably pretty hard to avoid all that. At least they're making an effort and not "wiping their asses with the money they make like other celebrities". haha, I'm pretty sure their children are in great care. I wouldn't worry about it.

That is why they will do humanitarian work in equatorial countries with lots of coastline, but not in Detroit or New Jersey.

Shhh...it's a secret, only us 20-somethings know about it.

I'm not trying to shit on what these two are doing, just giving you all a dose of reality, before you waste more time keeping your heads stuck up their asses.

With the money these two make, and all the spare time on their hands, the real story would be if they didn't do humanitarian work.

If you want to praise someone, praise the 19 year old kid in Iraq, who is fighting a bullshit war because someone told him it will pay for college, and will be lucky to come home to a $10 an hour job with all limbs intact.

(10:49 p.m et al) and just wtf does JA have to do with any of this? too bad, so sad, now, get over it. what is with "some" americans and their need to morally right what most sensible people deem another person's business. and, yet, no problem letting certain beyond-atrocious acts slide...

But there are many many people who do have everything Brad and Angelina has and still don't do squat. Paris Hilton, Iindsay lohan, Jennifer Aniston, Hilary Swank, Mathew Mcnaughy and on and on it goes. And I'd be willing to bet that if you had everything Brad and Angelina had, you wouldn't be doing squat either. Those who come and complain about what Brad Angelina and other celebrities do are rarely involved in more charity then dropping some coins into a salvation arym bucket around christmas. Still, your coins are appreciated. Remember that.

  • "what i don't get is why don't they care about america? there's no homeless or underprivileged in america?

Well, probably because poverty in the US is relative compared to the rest of the world. Not that we don't have extremely poor people here, because we do, but at least our poor have places to turn to for help. The poorest person in the US is probably living large compared to the average refugee in Darfur.

Now, I really wish everyone would stop their fucking bitching. I mean, who gives a shit why they feel compelled to devote themselves to humanitarian causes, the point is that they do. Sometimes, the end justifies any means, I do think, and even if their motives aren't entirely selfless, at least the result is.

  • People that keep complaining about why Brad and Angelina do not concentrate on the homeless of the U.S. need to understand that being homeless in the U.S. is a picnic compared to being homeless in a developing country. This is not to say that homelessness in the U.S. is a problem--something simplistic minds will jump to---it simple indicates that the U.S. is a muh safer place for people to be homeless, than other countries. In other countries there is a high likliness of death by drinking unsuitable water, soldiers, animals among many many other hazards. I have worked with the homeless both in the US. and in other countries and if I were to say who has it harder--it would be other countries. And we need to stop this separtism of Americans versus the rest of the world that George Bush has created. We live in the same world and need to think that way. Thanks Angelina and Brad for recognizing that the plight of human beings anywhere is a threat to everyone--whether these idiots realize it ot not.
