  • PETA is a bunch of tools. I do not endorse cruelty to animals but their gestapo tactics piss me off. Screw Peta and screw you #1

    By Anonymous, on 10:20 AM

  • Hmm... she wore a coat. It wasn't her coat. She didn't buy the coat. She didn't say "go buy fur!" She just wore a coat in a picture. Meanwhile, back at the Bat Cave...

"ZOMG CHRISTINA I HATE U U SUCK FUR AMZ MURDER!!," and legions of unwashed college students threw red paint at a magazine.

You know, I like animals. I like people who like animals. I eat what I shoot and love my dog.

That having been said, fuck PETA and anyone who supports them. Bunch of lunatic, hypocritical, bunny fascists.

  • Hooray to the person who compared PETA and the gestapo. I couldn't agree more. My main problem with them is their insistence that animals deserve more rights than humans. I worked with someone like that and we heard in the news about a mom, dad, and 2 small children being beaten to death with a baseball bat. The guy also killed their dog. Her response? "Oh, that poor little doggie! He should get life for that, that poor defenseless animal!" I wanted to hurl on her shoes. I asked how she felt about the kids. "Well..." was all she said. Bitch.

    By Anonymous, on 10:29 AM

  • The REAL problem here isn't fur, it's that she looks like horse shit after developing anorexia.

    Gain the weight back, Christina.
    You look terrible without it.

    By Anonymous, on 10:34 AM

  • God put animals on this earth so we could eat them, make clothes out of their fur and skins, and use them for cosmetic testing. It's the benefit of being at the top of the food chain. F*ck off PETA losers.

    By Anonymous, on 10:34 AM

  • Boy they sure got the country girl redneck look down for this film. There's that damn haircut you see in every country town. Rednecks have looking like shit down to an artform. This girl can be really cute, what a transformation.

    By Anonymous, on 10:35 AM

  • I agree with PETA's stance on protecting the ones who suffer for those clothes. The way they're treated and they're tortured to death is ridiculous.

    By Anonymous, on 10:35 AM

  • I couldn't agree more, 10:33!!!!

    By Anonymous, on 10:41 AM

  • Don't agree with PETA on a lot of things, but just the way they kill seals for the fur is disgusting.

    By Tazznum1, on 10:43 AM

  • I love to eat bunnies, and chickies, and puppies and kitties.

  • OW her back looks painful in picture three, curving it like that is B A D. nice shirt though. confederates!

    By jessie, on 10:55 AM

  • Right on, 10:23. PETA is nuts. In fact, I sometimes think the statements of that idiotic organization reflect badly on normal people who are in favor of humane treatment of animals. We get lumped in with those lunatics.

    By Anonymous, on 11:33 AM

  • I'm an animal lover, dedicated recycler, etc, but, I think PETA is ass backwards on alot of things.

The PETA claim that gives me the greatest chuckle is their claim that captive snakes can be fed moistened dog kibble instead of rodents.
As a person who keeps and breeds snakes as a hobby I'm humoured by the mental image of my beloved Cornsnakes lapping up dog kibble in a bowl. Hahahaha....ignorant PETA fucks.

Fuck PETA, I'll stick with feeding my snakes thawed rodents, thanks.

    By Anonymous, on 11:50 AM

  • well Joe you beat me to the punch. I was going to ask what PETA thinks of animals that eat other animals. I'd love to see one of those PETA folks try to feed a hungry, angry lion tofu.

  • Wir Mitglieder des Gestapo denken, daß PETA zu weit geht. Sogar wir haben unsere Begrenzungen auf Stupidity!

    By jeditemple, on 11:56 AM

  • I worked with a PETA freak. Most of them have their heads so far up their asses, they are looking at the world through their belly button.

Humans have been killing and eating animals since the caveman days. I don't like or agree with animal cruelty, but it is called the "food chain" for a reason.

She was just wearing the coat. Grow up, assholes.

    By Anonymous, on 12:02 PM

  • I don't give a shit about the PETA crazies - but doesn't Christina look gorgeous on that cover!?

    By eclair, on 12:11 PM

  • I read an interview with the PETA founder, Ingrid Newkirk. She basically said that PETA's point is NOT to get support for their causes, they know that their actions make them look crazy. However, their point, she said was to bring the causes to public attention. Even if it makes PETA look bad, everyone HAS heard of them, and they certainly do have a way of drawing the public eye towards their causes....

Also what happened to quite Christina Ricci? Where is her body?

    By Anonymous, on 12:17 PM

  • Here's the thing...and please hold off your judgments of me for a hot minute.

I am for animal rights, but not anymore so than human rights. By animal rights, I mean that we can treat animals more compassionately and humanely. I've read many accounts of how chickens are still alive when they're put into scolding water in the slaughterhouse. I've read many other accounts for how animals are treated. I want to support an animal rights organization. I subscribe to PETA's email, but I don't necessarily agree with their tactics, messages, and viewpoints. I think they alienate a lot of people. I think one can still eat animals. But there is research that it may be healthier to reduce meat consumption and to eat meat that has been raised on a healthy diet free of hormones. Some of the things that are done to animals are really very, very inhumane and atrocious.

A few years ago my sister stopped drinking Coke products because of their labor standards in other countries and their practices. This was an ethical choice and one could argue that she could find reasons to discontinue purchases from other companies, not just coke, because of her ethical concerns. When it comes to animal rights, I've hesitated to show my support because people might assume I am cherry picking my causes, I'm a freak tree hugger, too soft, or trying to be superior. I think if you read the work of Peter Singer, Temple Grandon, and others for animal rights, and the rights of farm factory animals, you might understand why some people are disturbed how animals are treated.

    By Anonymous, on 12:27 PM

  • Christina dressed up in all redneck trash? Excuse me while I go beat off.

    By Anonymous, on 12:54 PM

  • I love animals and don't want them to suffer if possible, but damnit if I just can't freaking stand PETA. They are the biggest bunch of freaking hypocrites there are.
"We love animals soooo much, now lets go blow up some shit WOO!"

And how is THAT solving anything? What about all of those veggies they're eating? What about all of the insects and other pests that are killed off so they don't eat the veggies? Oh but I guess it's ok to kill those though since most aren't cuddly right?

God I hate them. As for Ricci... she's a fug beast imo, but her ass shouldn't have apologized. She didn't do anything wrong other than being fug.

    By Anonymous, on 1:00 PM

  • Why is there pictures of Britney Spears? I thought this story was about Christina Ricci?

    By Anonymous, on 1:03 PM

  • Geez, 1:00pm she is not fug, they fixed her up that way. It's called acting.

This girl is cute. Just not in that getup.

    By Anonymous, on 1:27 PM

  • Fuck off Christina. Sorry kitty? She has no idea the suffering that animals go through so that some asshole can test mascara or a douche. Or whether or not it's painful to have your skin ripped off of your body.

By What ho!, on 1:48 PM

  • Um, excuse me, Christina didn't go out and personally slaughter an animal and then parade around in front of the dead animal's family singing "la la la, lookie lookie at me, I'm wearing your daddy on my back, haha tra la la" No, she was in a photo shoot and the coat is beautiful. I don't condone animal cruelty and I'm not saying I *approve* of all things that go on with getting us meat and/or animal by-products but for PETA to lash out and incite her fans to the point that she felt she had to apologize and SWEAR to NEVER wear fur again...UGH pisses me off. Once again a small radical group forces people to bow down to THEIR personal beliefs. Fuck it.

    By Anonymous, on 2:37 PM

  • She didn't lose weight, she had her boobs reduced. Damn shame too, she looked great beforehand.

I don't understand all the anti-fur activism but so little anti-leather activism, but that's just me.

    By sean, on 3:18 PM

  • I love animals, and I love people who refuse to support animal cruelty. The fur industry is disgusting. Kudos to Christina for a good decision.

    By Laurie, on 3:51 PM

  • "I don't understand all the anti-fur activism but so little anti-leather activism, but that's just me."

My guess is because leather isn't the only product to be made from the animal (cow) that the leather comes from. Last I checked, fur producers don't eat a fox or mink carcass after they skin it.

While I'm not a supporter of PETA, I do find wasteful killing of animals disturbing. I'd rather pluck my own eyelashes than sit down to a bowl of sharkfin soup with a side of foie gras and buffalo tongue.

PS - Yes, I'm a vegeterian. The only meat consumption in my house is done by my snakes. ;)

Humans, especially spoiled baby ass Americans (and I am an american, just not some flag wearing, bible sucking hillbilly redneck) think they own the whole fucking world and its theirs to destroy and trash.

Soon enough nature will fix that problem with diseases we cant cure, plaques and food shortages. We'll all wish we hadnt been such assholes then.

    By Chilly, on 8:30 PM

  • If you were an animal, make that a super animal, because you'd have to have the capacity to have beliefs, you'd think that animals were disgusting and humans are perfect. Animals have evil. Pitbulls are known as vicious dogs because they're vicious dogs. Sure, part of it depends on training, but it's not like a chihuahua is known to be vicious.

    There is evil in everything.
Humans are not disgusting, and neither are animals.
We do what we believe we have to do to survive.
One day we'll stop brutally murdering animals,
but we just haven't evolved enough to stop now.

    So suck it, PETA.

    Others hunt for food,
The only thing I'm hunting for,
Is an outfit that looks good...

See my vest, see my vest,
    Made from real gorilla chest,
Feel this sweater, there's no better,
    Than authentic Irish setter.

See this hat, 'twas my cat,
My evening wear - vampire bat,
    These white slippers are albino
    African endangered rhino.

    Grizzly bear underwear,
Turtles' necks, I've got my share,
Beret of poodle, on my noodle
    It shall rest,

    Try my red robin suit,
It comes one breast or two,
See my vest, see my vest,
    See my vest.

Like my loafers? Former gophers -
It was that or skin my chauffeurs,
    But a greyhound fur tuxedo
    Would be best,

    So let's prepare these dogs,

    (Kill two for matching clogs,)

See my vest, see my vest,
Oh please, won't you see my vest

PETA sucks, you all suck and if i was cold and there was some nice furry animals here, i'd slay them all for a nice coat and then tell you you suck cause im warm and you're cold. if you dont like it, why not go out now and save some squirrels fromgetting beaten up by a pack of ferrets or something

    By Anonymous, on 5:27 AM

  • 8:53, I'm afraid your dog ignorance is showing. First off, "evil" intent is a moral decision, which animals don't make. (Many) pitbulls are overly aggressive. Yes, some of it is breeding after so many generations of game-bred dogs; part of it is due to shitty owners. However, Chihuahuas are very aggressive, too, they're just tiny and can't really hurt you. I've met exactly ONE Chi who wasn't nasty, and he was still a puppy. Even though I wouldn't get a pit myself, I've met a lot of friendly ones.

    By Anonymous, on 6:37 AM

  • I am completely against untethical/inhumane treatment of animals-I am not a vegitarean. I'm not being hypocritical-I believe that If I wouldn't eat the meat of the animal, I won't wear it's coat. I do wear leather, but I also eat beef and pork. I do not nor would I ever wear fur because simply, I would not eat the meat of that animal.

Truly, reading about animal fur farms and the cruelty that happens to these animals, just so one can have an expensive fur coat, is what created my opinion, not PETA or anyone else.

    By Anonymous, on 8:04 AM

  • no 8:35, pitbulls are vicious dogs because vicious human train them to be that way.

    By Anonymous, on 9:40 AM

  • I can't believe how thin she is!!!
I remember when she had a huge rack and curves. How much did she lose and how did she do it??

    By Anonymous, on 11:18 AM

  • "I think if you read the work of Peter Singer, Temple Grandon, and others for animal rights (snipped)"

Temple Grandon is an autistic woman who so believes in the humane treatment of animals that she invented a machine that fires a large bolt into the head of a cow with such force that the animal dies instantly and doesn't have time to feel pain. Slaughterhouses all over America are now using this invention. No fewer animals are dying, they are simply dying quicker and more easily.

I think that if the animal is brought into this world (i.e. farmed) for a specific purpose such as for eating or wearing, and it is killed in a humane fashion then used for that purpose, it's all good. It wouldn't even exist otherwise.

PETA can kiss my mink-clad ass.

    Mox

    By Anonymous, on 4:37 PM

  • Ah fine, you assholes, if you have to take things so literally than change what I said about dogs to lions. Lions are trained to be good. If a wild lion started running towards you would you think it just wanted to be pet or would you think it was planning to eat you?

I can prove my theory about animals being evil.
Have you ever seen the Lion King? Scar wasn't nice at all.

    By Anonymous, on 6:38 PM

  • 4:37 "Mox", you dumb twat, animals weren't "brought into this world" for old women to wear around their necks.

    By Anonymous, on 6:42 PM

  • I think roughly 25% of the human population is inherently good, helping others, being polite, doing unto others, ect...

The majority, the other 75% of people, are not necessarily "bad" (some are, maybe 10% are your evil Bin Laden and George W Bush types), just not good people. Selfish, callous, apathetic. Girls who cheat on their boyfriends, men who leave their families, ect...not good people.

I would rather see all of that 75% (Probably like 3 billion people) die, before I see just 1 animal harmed for their skin.

I do eat meat, and I wear some leather, my car has leather seats. But, the other shit, seal fur, ect... my honest opinion is that anyone who participates in that supply chain should be shot in the crotch.

    By j-bird, on 6:48 PM

  • j-bird, I agree completely.

    By Laurie, on 9:36 PM

  • I second (or third, whatever) j-bird and Mox on their statements.

Would also like to add this: have any of you peta supporters seen "Penn & Teller"'s show about it? Now that is one HUGELY enlightening half hour.

    By Anonymous, on 8:03 AM

  • Taryn Manning? Is that you?

    By Anonymous, on 9:34 AM

  • J-Bird,
Animals are just as "not good" and "selfish" and "apathetic" as humans. Watch the Discovery Channel more often. Wildlife is not all sunshine and rainbows. You think animals don't cheat and steal and rape and kill each other? They do, on a daily basis. Even the cutest little kitten would go medieval on a mouse if it came within five feet of him.

I just think your taking it a bit too far with the wanting to see 75% of humans die rather than 1 animal. Humans aren't all that bad, and animals aren't all that good.

And why would you have such an unusually strong stance against fur when you still eat meat? Where do you think the meat comes from? They kill those animals too, you know.

    By Anonymous, on 11:40 AM

  • I like animals and all, but anything that makes my life easier is approved of by me. So if my shampoo has to be tested on bunnies by rubbing chemicals in their eyes, and cows and pigs have to be kept in horrible conditions so I can get a bacon cheeseburger, then so be it.

~She has a forehead so big it should be a landing place for military planes.
~Her hair is flatter than her tits and ass put together!
~Her personality sucks, she is just the most incompreshensable thing that the human race has ever given.
    ~She looks like a man
