There's a mysql error when clicking on aguilera wax figure link to Hollywood Rag. Looks like there was an update but it caused some problems. Here’s a better way to update, whether a build or version update:
1 - download the latest version of EE and prepare the files for upload (add plugins, modules, etc.)
2 - change name of /system directory to /system_NEW, download config.php to /system_NEW directory
3 - upload /system_NEW directory to site; check or change permissions accordingly (cache, config.php, etc.)
4 - change name of old /system directory to /system_20061016 (old build date)
5 - change name of /system_NEW to /system (or whatever you’ve named your system directory)
6 - point browser to www.mydomain.com/system/update.php; follow instructions accordingly
In most builds and version updates there’s no need to upload /themes or /images etc., though you should check update instructions first. Most disasters are avoided by NOT overwriting files in the site’s /system directory. Uploading an entirely new /system_NEW directory and then simply changing the directory names as part of the update avoids will avoid losing critical files should an update turn sour. Once you’re sure the update is working OK, then delete the older /system directory (I usually wait until the next update).
