But when you put her up against Toni Collette, Annette Bening, Renee Zellweger and MERYL STREEP, she would have lost either way. Maybe he got this nomination mixed up with the Grammys? There was no way she was going to win a Golden Globe and I believe she knows that. She probably hoped she would but come on.
My advice to her is to get rid of dad as a manager or tell him to shut up. He is going to cause her to lose favor with critics, media and fans if he keeps this up.

excellent point about race baiting. Some things are about race, but I don't think this is one of them. Beyonce is beautiful and talented. But, I don't think her performance was award worthy. Her father needs to realize also that the role she played wasn't really that Oscar worthy either, even if you are an amazing actress...there's only so much you can do with a limited/limiting role. On another note, this role was probably good for Beyonce to stretch her acting chops a little without having to carry the movie in an oscar worthy role. There are lots of great performances, but not everyone gets an award for them.

She should just give up acting and stick to what she seems to do well. Singing. I know she is the reason none of the networks talked to Jennifer Hudson after she won on Monday. They did not interview her on Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight after she won. But they did every one else. I believe Beyonce and her father had something to do with that. I was pissed that Ebony who wrote an article about Dreamgirls had most of the article about Beyonce and her trip to Africa. WTF. Beyonce is pretty and has a great voice, BUT I'M SICK OF HER. Hi...I would just like to say that I do not think Beyonce is talented or interesting...but the thing I find strangest about this who absurd thing, is that this man (her dad)said "that his daughter was outcasted and overlooked by a bureaucratic good old boy system that is still alive in 2007 as it was in 1967."
I suppose that is fair enough in certain circumstances, I am white, and I think we still have a ways to go and things will never be perfect, but I just find it strange that he is criticizing the golden globes awards, which, if he did some research he would find out is presented, sponsored and voted on by the Hollywood FOREIGN Press Association. Which means that the folks who overlooked his daughter, were neither part of a good old boy system, since there are many female members of the HFPA, but also, are not American.

Someone needs to tell Beyonce's dad that her loss had nothing to do with racism but EVERYTHING to do with acting talent and the story. I truly enjoyed Dreamgirls and her performance. But when you put her up against Toni Collette, Annette Bening, Renee Zellweger and MERYL STREEP, she would have lost either way. Maybe he got this nomination mixed up with the Grammys? There was no way she was going to win a Golden Globe and I believe she knows that. She probably hoped she would but come on.
My advice to her is to get rid of dad as a manager or tell him to shut up. He is going to cause her to lose favor with critics, media and fans if he keeps this up.

The bottom line is this. The people with the talent and those who carried the entire movie: Jennifer & Eddie got the awards they absolutely deserved.
Beyonce was little more than being herself (and sang half assed) through out the film. The song she wrote was sub par and she broke the biggest rule of all, you NEVER add your own music to a classic Broadway soundtrack!
The only thing I cant figure out is what happened to the third dreamgirl? I have never seen her on a single talk show or at a single event???
