  This asshat will ruin the movie for me. The reason BB worked was becuase it stuck close to the source material; they don't need to take artistic license becuase someone uptight movie head thinks the movie needs more ethnically diverse actors.

• Harvey Dent is not black. Then again, who am I to say who'll be in the movie. So far it's had the worst casting of any series I've seen. Christian Bale looks horrible in the Batsuit, Michael Caine is too low class and famous for Alfred, Gary Oldman is nothing like Gordon, and I shouldn't even need to explain why Heath Ledger shouldn't be the Joker.

  That last anonymous guy's comment that this series has bad casting is hilarious. In fact, up to this point the casting has been so terrific that it's incredible. Bale, Caine, and Oldman are terrific. I don't like Heath Ledger generally, but he is an inspired choice to play the Joker. Eion Bailey does seem like good casting for Harvey Dent, as long as he has that psycho side in his acting toolbelt. You might remember him from Band of Brothers, where he was pretty good.
  
  To segue, it's rare to see comic book movies that are even decently cast. Superman Returns was plagued by having possibly the worst choice in Lois Lane that anyone could think of. I still don't know how Brian Singer could explain how Lois Lane at 24 years old could have a five year old son AND how she was a world-class reporter with Clark Kent for a period of years before they had a child AND how she was a reporter at the Daily Planet before Clark Kent even arrived. Without even bringing up the question of if she went to college, Lois Lane would have to be at the very least in her late 20s to make any logical sense at all. Instead, Kate Bosworth looked like a totally out-of-place 24 year old sack of bones with stringy, disgusting hair coming out of her skull. Clearly, the director of that movie was gay because no straight man can find someone that skinny attractive. Spiderman has the grossest chick ever playing a "superstar hottie." Daredevil and this Ghost Rider movie look absolutely horrible from castting alone.
  
  If Jamie Foxx becomes Harvey Dent, however, I'll totally reverse what I said up top and agree that the new franchise sucks. That's how much he bites.

  Those are HISTORICAL figures you're referring to, not fictional characters. For 2-bit characters like Two-Face, it DOES NOT MATTER. Look at Catwoman (and no, I'm not including that horrible movie, I'm talking about the old show). Superman could probably be black with the right writer. Batman HAS been non-white in Elseworlds. There is a whole Green Lantern Corps with alien GL's, etc. John Stewart, the Black GL, has existed for more than 2 decades. Hitler couldn't be Asian, but Batman COULD. Captain America COULD. Abraham Lincoln couldn't be black, but Iron Man COULD. Captain Marvel COULD. Anyone could take up ANY mantle in the comic books regardless of race, it's sheer short-sightedness to compare them to real life people.
