As someone who has been buzzing his hair (NO guard, and NO 'slack' on the blades) for 10+ years, I saw this happening.

Trust me, shaving your head is easy.
It's getting through growing it back that takes commitment. Myself, even though my hair is as straight as can be, I look like Sonic The Hedgehog after a couple weeks. Probably why it's been like 8 years since I let it grow for more than a week...lol

Not that I DON'T like my hair buzzed. I'm a 'buzzer' for life. I can't wait to be in a nursing home in 40 years with some hot nurse giving me a buzz.

I read the comments on most sites and no one seems to think she is doing this purposely. Maybe she doesn't want her kids, she's never with them anyway. So she is probably acting a fool publicly so that this can all be brought to court. I can't see any other reason for her 'melt down.' She could have done all of this behind closed doors, but she chose not to for a reason.
