• I raise swine on a farm, and I can tell you, the conditions there are filthy because pigs are fucking disgusting! You can't keep a pen with one pig clean for a moment. They will shit in the bedding and moments later roll around in it! They urinate all over so of course it's going to stink, and yes, the mums do squish the babies, that's why they are caged. It's not like the mother is kept in there 24-7, it's just at night when she might kill them while the farmers are not there to kick the shit out of her dumb-ass. Yes, in the wild you don't have to worry about the babies getting squished, but more babies do NOT live in the wild, most are eaten by predators. Why do you think a sow has so many? So that, chances are, one or two MIGHT live!
  Pigs are disgusting, loud, smelly, and worthless animals, good for eating only. (and pig suede and dog treats) They are cute for about a week, but any animal that can gain 2.5 pounds a day is just MEANT to be eaten, I'm sorry.

  I don't believe that you are really a farmer. No true farmer, who raises livestock, considers his/her animals "disgusting creatures". I have an "old-fashioned" (I guess you could call it "organic") farm and raise a number of different animals for food. First, pigs are actually pretty clean. They don't piss/shit and then roll around in it--unless they have no space wherever they are being kept. They are intelligent and amusing creatures who love a scratch behind the ears. As for chickens, chickens are one of nature's best mothers. They are in no way stupid. So, please stop pretending you know anything about farming or the animals that you eat at your table, because it is obvious to me that you're full of shit. As for Heather Mills, this dirty gold-digging slut needs to go far far away.

• Regardless of my personal feelings about H Mills, I applaud efforts like this. Though PETA is typically a bit too much for me, I'm a member of the ASPCA and volunteer at an animal shelter a couple of times a month. The torture some of these animals face before they're slaughtered is horrifying, not to mention what can happen with animals we don't eat--dogs, cats, etc who sit in labs, mills, or really bad shelters. If you don't know anything about it, start with something as simple as google. Sorry to be a downer. And yeah, I know this is the wrong place for a soapbox. Deal widdit.

• Oh trust me, I am a farmer. Chickens are so dumb they drown themselves when you wash them, and they never move. Egg laying chickens are good mothers, and they are fine…but market chickens, the ones eaten for meat, are bred to have such massive breasts that they do not move. You actually have to keep their food at one end of the coop and their water at the other to encourage them to get up, otherwise they don’t. They get sores on their breasts because they sit in their own shit and never move and they stink something fierce.
  
  As for pigs, I HATE them. They are foul creatures and I hate working with them. They are loud, and disgusting. They sleep in their own filth, even when they have the space, because I show pigs for market auction and they have to look nice, and washing them to just have them take a shit and lay down in it is not my idea of fun. Also, sows pee straight out the back in a stream that can hit you from three feet away, and I can tell you, I have been peed on by too many damn pigs. They have to have lids on their food so they don’t shit and piss in their food. They are smart enough to use their nose to open the lid to eat, and it drops closed when they are done, but I don’t care what anyone says about their intelligence, they are worthless animals.
