I can understand the struggle to have more people of color nominated/awarded at the major awards ceremonies, but it has always struck me as odd that the supposed way to go about this is have an awards ceremony which 'celebrates the outstanding acheivements and performances of people of color in the arts' while at the same time using words like 'liberty, the ideals of civil & human rights, and ensuring equality' on their home page. I thought we as a nation we supposed to be past the whole 'seperate, but equal' segragationist notions??

Reverse Racism is one of those phrases coined by racists.There can be no reverse racism without the power to impose one's racist views on others.
Black have always had to create their own everything because Whites locked them out of their awards.
It just kills me to hear Whites complain of Black creating their own things and calling them racist without first speaking on why Blacks have to create their own things in the fist place.
Reverse racism- yeah right.You can label Black racist all you want but our deeds will never match the true definition of racism and most of all will never match the racism dished out by Whites in this country.
