  • LOOK AT THAT ENTOURAGE/ FAN CLUB or whatever!!!!! OMG!!!

How many brownie recipes did they share????

    By Anonymous, on 8:53 AM

  • I didn't know they made two-piece bathing suits for whales (re: chick on the right)

    By Anonymous, on 8:55 AM

  • Get off your phony high horses. This is what people look like.

  • Fat Pig

    By Anonymous, on 9:05 AM

  • Precisely the reason my 9 year old daughter is scared to wear her bathing suit. She's got a normal little girl body and is afraid she looks "fat," or like a "whale." Minus the gal on the right, God bless her for having the courage to wear a 2-piece, these are what real women look like.

Welcome to the world of healthy, well-nourished, unphotoshopped, happy, social, hard-working women. We don't all starve ourselves and have weekly visits to a vacuum.

    By Anonymous, on 9:13 AM

  • whales? are you 14, because I'm not sure whom else talks like that about complete strangers. good for that girl on the right for being comfortable in a two piece. Kelly on the other hand gets paid to be in the public eye, that's a sort of a different story.

    By Anonymous, on 9:16 AM

  • ^Agree with 9:13 and I'm a dude. Not everybody can be a freakin' supermodel. Plus, it looks like Kelly was already burned from previous days at the beach and was just covering up. You know, skin cancer is real.

    By Anonymous, on 9:16 AM

  • I liked Kelly on American Idol. She had a Phat ass. Now she's got a Fat ass and it's not quite as hot. She did blow up a bit. It's a shame. :o(

    By Anonymous, on 9:16 AM

  • Yeah - I agree with Precisely.... articles like this are poison to society promoting what women should look like. Im a father of two gilrs in grade school - and they are already afraid of looking fat - or dressing wrong. This is promoted by children of absentee parents who have no idea of life outside of Entertainment Tonight.

I think KC has an amazing voice. I don't let appearance judge my taste in music - thats strange.

    By Anonymous, on 9:21 AM

  • Dammit I've been waiting for this site to post these pictures. I've used all my jokes about the bikini fatass on the right end on all the other sites!

With that said, that fat bitch had no right. NO RIGHT for that.

    By Anonymous, on 9:23 AM

  • ....

    Wow, angry housewives unite.

Let's be serious. The chick on the right has NO BUSINESS wearing that bikini. That is just repulsive and vulgar. If I saw her on the beach, I would probably moo.

The chick in the blue bikini should also NOT be in a bikini. Look at those fat rolls on her sides! GOOD LORD, SICK!

The two other girls aren't that bad, but what's with that one chick's mismatched bikini? Really classy.

    By Anonymous, on 9:24 AM

  • 9:13AM, that ain't no depiction of "healthy, well-nourished" anything. And how you come to the conclusion that they are "hard-working" is beyond any sort of logic.

That lady on the right is morbidly obese, quit living in denial and put down those cookies.

    By Anonymous, on 9:28 AM

  • that is a group of hideous people. the girl on the right should spend less time wolfing down doughnuts and more on the treadmill.

    By Anonymous, on 9:32 AM

  • Here, here 9:24AM.

That fatso is the large equivalent of skinny girls who dress more than half naked and let their cooters hang out. It's all the same. You are right, that girl had no business wearing that.

Clothes are supposed to be flattering on the figure. That girl/lady/pilsbury doughboy was too busy eating in school to realize "flattering" didn't mean "flattening" which she has obviously mistaken the term for.

    By Anonymous, on 9:32 AM

  • It's always amusing to see a chubby chick hanging out with other chicks fatter than her to meke herself look better.

    By Anonymous, on 9:34 AM

  • I have dibs on the chick at the far right.

    By Anonymous, on 9:36 AM

  • CANKLES GALORE!!!!!FUCKIN NASTY!!!NASTTTYYYYYYYY!!!!!

    By Anonymous, on 9:38 AM

  • I like how angry fat chicks are uniting here to say that this is what the real world looks like.

Guess what? Umm, no it doesn't. I'm by no means 'perfect' (who is?), but I still take care of myself, I AM healthy (that obese girl must be doing a number on her heart and healthcare) and am a hard-working PhD student. There are LOTS of women in all parts of the world who DO take care of their health and bodies and don't need photoshop to prove that they do. Some of the women in this photo clearly don't take care of themselves.

I could care less if you want to continue living in your delusional state, but seriously, don't pretend that this is the 'real world' just so you can live in denial.

    By Anonymous, on 9:39 AM

  • i guess you've never been to a beach in the south of france. this is what it looks like except here the bikinis are more modest since in france the women won't have a top on.

regardless we better throw away any art that depicts overweight people, cuz that shit is gross.

    By Anonymous, on 9:49 AM

  • it's fine to bust each other's chops about this type of stuff but i hate it when parents chime in about their girls. they're always saying the same thing - their girls are terrified of being seen as fat, because of media this and media that. the suggested fix is make society's ideal fatter. that will never happen. what will happen is that fat kids - like the one on the far right - will live much less healthy lives. how about worrying about that, mr and mrs loving parent? mindless encouragement of self-acceptance is bad parenting.

By Die Krautsalaten, on 9:57 AM

  • I call dibs on the short-haired girl in the mismatched bikini, second from the right in the main picture.

She's the only one in the bunch who's anywhere near attractive enough to go for a ride on my baloney pony so I don't want any of the rest of you dickheads going anywhere near her.

As for the rest of this lot, I agre with 9:24AM. The chick on the right is killing herself with food, and the chick in the blue bikini isn't doing a lot better. Love handles and a little chunk in the thighs is reasonable, but when your rolls hang in rolls on top of your other rolls your nasty ass is decidedly unhealthy.

It's not JUST that fat is ugly, it's also DEADLY and as human animals we have a deep-seated instinctual revulsion towards obesity.

    By Anonymous, on 9:58 AM

  • I'll take "Chicks only Chubby Chasers would like for a 100" Alex.

    By Abe, on 10:05 AM

  • I'm sorry but I consider myself a forgiving and polite fellow. The gal on the right is not and should not be considered, "just what a woman looks like". Maybe she's what daily visitors to McDonalds or KFC look like, but no, she does not represent what your normal young adult should look like. Further more, I'm sick and tired of people who are fat, who don't excercise or merely eat right at all, telling the world that it's "OK" to be obnoxiously fat, because that's who they are. BS!
For the most part they're just lazy and lack self control.

    By MikeG, on 10:06 AM

  • The pictures make one thing very clear: support the fatties who defend Kelly Clarkson as "normal" and these will be our sex partners.

    By Anonymous, on 10:10 AM

  • Anon 9:39: I'm 5'2 and 106 lbs. I'm also a semi-black belt in TKD. I'm not fat. It's SO incredibly condescending of you to assume that everyone who does NOT enjoy poking fun of fat non-celebrities must be fat. Eek. Congrats on taking care of your body while persuing a degree! I've never heard of a student having time to work out. Ahem.

This actually IS what the real world looks like. None of these girls are obese except the girl on the right. And while it would behoove her health to lose weight, who is she hurting by wearing a bikini? (Those that say "Me! My eyes!" must forget that their heads are on necks, and can swivel. So, too, can your eyes in your sockets. Look away.)

As for the rest, they're sure not workout queens, but so the fuck what? Where is the law that you must be healthy, fit, and pleasurable to see in a bikini, in order to wear one?

I'm not a feminazi, but I have to ask... why do other women contribute to this idea that women SHOULD dress for men's appreciation? How about dressing for what makes you feel good?

Women in our country have so much freedom. And yet we are so acrimonious towards each other, eager to agree that some (nonfamous, by the by) stranger should be ridiculed for daring to feel more confident than she should. It's bullying. It's like once the first stone is thrown...grow the fuck up, ladies. It doesn't make you better or stronger. Have each other's backs!

    By Anonymous, on 10:11 AM

  • Clarksonians, I served with normal girls; I knew normal girls; normal girls have been friends of mine. Clarksonians, these are not normal girls.

    By Anonymous, on 10:13 AM

  • you're such a douchebag

    By J, on 10:18 AM

  • What's better, to be thin and anxious and depressed, or fat and happy?

Well, of course fat people are anxious and depressed. Maybe more so than thin people. So the question really is, is it better to be thin or fat? The answer is thin.

    This isn't rocket science.

(It's politics, you can tell because reality is distorted constantly and absurdly, just to repeatedly make a point that's invalid if you stick to the facts.)

    By Anonymous, on 10:19 AM

  • sweet mother of god, that is one huge bitch.

    By Chris, on 10:19 AM

  • I could NOT agree more with 9:39 and 9:57! ANYone who claims that that FAT kid is what a "real woman" looks like has absolutely nooooo idea about what a woman should look like! Let's get serious! You have to be quite overweight yourself to consider that chick "real" She is disgustingly overweight! That isn't a real woman! It's a LAZY woman!
The sight of that chick in a bikini is frightening! She has NO business even in a bathing suit! It's just disgusting to see her ruining and wasting her life like that! It's very sad! And for the rest of you fatties who look at her, and call her a real woman? I feel sad for you as well! Lose the extra weight! If not for yourselves, for your families! It's just disgusting!

    By Anonymous, on 10:20 AM

Oh boy: Can't wait to see all the chubby lovers coming out of the woodwork to defend the realm...

  • I'm all for making fun of celebrities and their flaws b/c that's what this site is about. But....this....is just not right.

    By BV, on 10:23 AM

  • Stop criticizing fat chicks! They're very motivated and they'll readily do things that you'd hesitate to even mention to a prostitute.

    By Anonymous, on 10:24 AM

  • "Have each other's backs!"

Dream on, Ms. Friedan. Women have had the majority vote in America for decades and decades, and they've never voted as a bloc on anything. If solidarity could possibly exist, we'd be on our 10th female president, instead of...maybe...the first serious candidacy (Sen. Hillary Hippohip Cankles). Feminists have tried for 40 years to tell other women how to act and what to think, and the most significant result was when a lot of young girls dressed like Madonna for awhile back in the '80s. Excellent work!

    By Anonymous, on 10:29 AM

  • Just a quick word from Planet Earth: fat is ugly. Ok, back to internet Fantasy Land...

    By Anonymous, on 10:32 AM

  • I think these pictures will finally bring people together. Both Darwinians and Christian-creationists will agree that that thing on the far right should never procreate. More exactly, no guy should ever undergo the trauma of attempting to procreate with her.

    By Anonymous, on 10:36 AM

  • Sorry to be a stickler about language on a celeb blog, but technically you should not refer to the one on the far right as being "at the beach" - the correct usage is "beached."

    By Anonymous, on 10:38 AM

  • I don't think that my dick has every been this hard before. Who need Viagra when Kelly Clarkson pictures will get my a nice chub (pun intended) every time.

    By Anonymous, on 10:40 AM

  • so this is the pro-fat lobby's vision of paradise. definitely time to take a bite of that apple...

    By Anonymous, on 10:41 AM

  • Listen, I enjoy thick women as much as the next guy. I never will call a woman "fat" when they are just marginally overweight. That being said, the chick on the far right here has no business wearing a two piece. If you want to, thats fine, its one's right. But come on.....she looks horrible.

I'd bang the other chicks in this pic. The one second from the left, slightly behind Kelly, looks like she has a pretty nice body.

    By Anonymous, on 10:42 AM

  • The sun burned Kelly to force her to cover up. Thank you, sun.

    By Anonymous, on 10:42 AM

  • i'm excited to tune into Animal Planet to see what happens with this strange new species of hippos.

    By Anonymous, on 10:47 AM

  • I was gonna say that big chick on the right has a lot of guts to wear a bikini, but. . .

    By Anonymous, on 10:48 AM

  • What's with this "real women" bull? Is a celeb not a "real woman", or she's a robot?

Is a woman that actually takes care of herself with a thick, yet TIGHT body not real?

Why do you have to have a nasty ass body to be considered "real"?

I'm not for calling any non-zero chick fat, but this is just too much.

    By Anonymous, on 10:48 AM

  • Men of the world we must unite. For once, I have respect for bitchy gay people and bitchy women in the fashion industry for trying to set a beauty standard for women to attain. Other wise fat housewives like the commentors here would encourage women to eat ho-hos and drink butter all day long to look like this. Encourage women to be skinny or the terrorists have won.

    By Anonymous, on 10:49 AM

  • Well said, 10:11 a.m.

    By Anonymous, on 10:49 AM

  • All right. I'm weighing in on this too.

    Blue Bikini: Obese

Brown/Black Bikini facing Clarkson: Slightly Overweight

Miss MixMatch: Healthy to Slightly Overweight

    Burgundy Bikini: MORBIDLY OBESE

There's no "this is what people look like". There's no "good for her for being comfortable enough in her own body to wear a two piece". That girl will have serious medical issues (ie: heart disease) before she's thirty. No doubt about it.

I don't give a shit if they look good or not. What I do give a shit about is the fact that people will argue up and down that a person's obesity is justifiable when it clearly ISN'T.

And please don't defend Clarkson for being burned from a day of lounging on the beach. Yes, skin cancer is real but if she had any brains she would have slapped on some SPF 50 before flopping her pale-as-shit ass down on a towel in the sun. Exposing already-damaged skin to the sun the next day isn't too goddamned bright either.

    By Vigilante, on 10:51 AM

  • Seriously I'm not being mean, but the girl on right shouldn't be wearing a two-piece. There are things that certain people just shouldn't wear. I've seen fat guys wearing speedos and they shouldn't wear that either.

    By Anonymous, on 10:57 AM

  • On the other hand, why do any of you guys care what Kelly Clarkson looks like? It's not like you're ever going to have sex with her. There are plenty of other women whose pictures you can take to your bunkbeds and fantasize about.

    By Anonymous, on 11:00 AM

  • I think fat girls should grow up anxious and with low self-esteem. The only guys who will have sex with them will also be anxious and have low self-esteem. And everybody knows it's important for two people in a relationship to have something in common.

    By Anonymous, on 11:04 AM

  • I mean .. the big lady, looks like JOHN CANDY with a bikini...taht is the only reason i object, cuz other than that, oh well.. beach is public property..

By C. Del Sur, on 11:04 AM

  • I myself am a big girl, always have been, but I have a very realistic concept of what does and doesn't look good on my body. For that reason, the last bikini I owned was hot pink with ruffles on the top. I think I was 10 years old…

    By katdug, on 11:07 AM

Call now and for only $29.95 we can hook you up with your own Kelly Clarkson really fat friend (clothing optional). Our operators are sitting by (they're too fat to stand).

  • Vigilante, you're crazy. The only obese person in that pic is Maroon 500 on the right. The blue bikini woman is chunky and overweight, but no way are the 2 in the middle. Just because you wouldn't put them in your thinspiration notebook next to Posh Beckham and Mary Kate Olsen doesn't mean they're fat. I guess models who snort coke and smoke cigarettes for breakfast are more like your idea of healthy, huh?

  • 10:11AM, I think you need to get it thru your thick skull that this site is seen all over the world. Women in this country . . . .blah blah, this site is not just viewed by americans.

I agree with others who say most of the chicks are unhealthy, fat and shoudn't be wearing those bikinis not because it is pleasing to men but because it's not flattering.

    Get a grip.

    ***********************************
Do you think only guys are ripping on Kelly? Please.....rippin other women to shreds is what women do, and I guarantee the majority of visitors and commenters on this blog are female.

    By Anonymous, on 11:35 AM

  • I think the issue is not how these women look, (I don't care how they choose to dress) but rather, it's the health issues that arise from carrying around that much extra weight.

It does not matter if the majority of women in America look like this; that still does not make it healthy.

The sad reality is, if the average weight in this country was 500lbs, people would still say "That's the average. That's normal! That's what real women look like!" Well, actually, it's not. The human body was designed for movement, it was designed to stay active, and to stay within a certain weight range. Otherwise, it does not perform properly.

And to anon 10:11: I am a full time Cytotechnology grad student with high honors, I work part-time, and I exercise every day. It's possible when you wake up at 5:00am... so, in fact, it IS possible. I'm sorry if you've never "heard" of a student having time to work out: but I assure you, we do exist.

    By Anonymous, on 11:39 AM

  • OOOOOOOOHHHH MY LORD. that posse. wow. must be some great personalities in that bunch.

I like Kelly, and I'm not sayin she should sport the waif look, but damn hit the gym and lay off the steak, potatoes, and side of doritos with whipped cream.

    *well said 8:53! #3

    By Anonymous, on 11:39 AM

  • Everyone in the pic is fine, except chick on the right. I don't care that she's fat, it doesn't "offend" me, and I certainly would never lower myself to take cheapshots at her expense, but yes, the reality is she's OVERWEIGHT.

And those who say "that's what women look like" - THEY'RE RIGHT. Because North America has an obesity epidemic.

That's not to say what we SHOULD look like, women OR men. But lots do. Unfortunately.

As for blue bikini girl, she has some rolls there, and if it were me, I wouldn't wear a bikini, but "obese"!?!?!??! That's fucking nuts. And says more about you than her.

    By jenner, on 11:41 AM

  • 10:11AM,

I never said I had time to work out. I said "I take care of myself, my health" and my point about being a PhD student was in response to one of the previous comments about these women "supposedly" being hardworking. I can see how my comment could be taken out of context, but I was responding to a particular comment (without specifically referring to the person's post -- I apologise for my unclear post).

The your comment that I've never heard of a student having time to work out. Ahem is just as presumptuous as my comment about people defending morbidly obese women. However, there could be humour behind your post, so I won't dwell on it.

However, this image might be what the "real" world looks like in YOUR country, but not in mine nor in most places in Europe or other places around the globe.

Although I agree with you on some issues, we'll have to agree to disagree on this weight issue and these pictures. It's mindless and futile to worry about pixels on a screen, but beyond the pixels are real people . . . and at least one of these people is morbidly obese.

    By Anonymous, on 11:42 AM

  • Do people take a good look at themselves;how can the lard ass in the second photo not realize what she looks like.

    By Anonymous, on 11:44 AM

  • People - I am a "hippo", as you have referenced above. I would not wear that swimsuit ANYWHERE. BUT...do you honestly believe that by calling her fat/disgusting/obese you are providing her with new insight? Do you honestly believe that judging her by her outward appearance will instantaneously provide her with will power, self esteem and keep her from touching anything with calories?

Seriously, the girl knows she's fat. And when someone finds her pic online and sends it to her and then she researches and sees all of these disparaging comments - I only hope she doesn't commit suicide. She has feelings, people.

I am fat. VERY fat. I KNOW I need to lose weight. I TRY to lose weight. But when a very obese person is faced with the amount of weight they "should" lose, it is VERY discouraging and it's probable that she has/will give up a million times before she reaches a "healthy" weight.

Give her a break and remember that she isn't the celebrity. She's just a girl on a beach with bad taste in swimwear.

    By Anonymous, on 11:44 AM

  • YUCK!

    By Anonymous, on 11:45 AM

  • Can we all just agree that the fat girl looks like shit in that bikini? Nobody thinks that's cute and if you do, you started drinking way too early on a Friday!

    By Anonymous, on 11:46 AM

  • No one's suggesting that the girl on the right is "normal". She obviously has a weight problem. But the rest of the girls are normal. It is NOT normal to be able to see bones through your skin, and that includes clavicles. The people who think that Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are "normal" are the ones who need to get out into the open and see the real world. Jackasses.

And for the record, I'm a 5'3 133lbs marathon runner. So shut yer trap.

    By Anonymous, on 11:47 AM

  • People who say that this is what women look like have obviously not travelled or seen the world.

There is certainly an "epidemic" in the West (America, Canada, UK), but stating that the women in this photo (particularly the one on the right) reflects reality DOES NOT MAKE IT RIGHT.

This has nothing to do with her appearance and everything to do with her health and strain she will have on the health care system (in which ever country she is from).

    By Anonymous, on 11:50 AM

  • I love how people who support these women say things along the lines of "If you don't like how these 'real women' look, then you must like anorexic coke addicts." It's as if they think there's no happy medium.
Just because I don't like women to be overweight, doesn't mean I like women who have the bodies of 14 year old boys. There is a wide range of body types in between.
I'm a fit person, and I like people I date to be fit. I don't date supermodels, but I do date women who take care of themselves. (And that has in the past included women who have those little pouches, cellulite, etc)
I realize no one is perfect, and women shouldn't look like little boys..... but they also shouldn't look like this.
As I said, there is a wide variety of bodies that don't fit into either of these types.

    By Anonymous, on 11:51 AM

  • @11:44am you are just feeding (excuse the pun) into the name calling by refering to yourself as a 'hippo'.

No one wants to look at that. Why would she wear that?? Especially when she knows there will be paparazzi???? That is not what real women look like. Real women are not all obese and extremely overweight. That is NOT A REAL WOMAN! get a grip people!

sure, it is fine to stick up for the others but even the girl in the blue bikini is pushing it. they invented one pieces for a reason!

and while I'm at it..I am by no means fat. I weigh in at 110 and I am 5'5". when my friends and I go to the beach there are always chubby girls in bikinis who stare us down and we dont know if they want to eat us for lunch or are just being bitches. Im sorry I weigh a lot less than you but god damn don't walk by talking shit to me! I did nothing wrong!

I think she needs to find what is flattering to her body type and work with it. Bikinis should not even come in that size!

    By Anonymous, on 11:57 AM

  • What follows is a long-winded diatribe about obesity and whatnot. I'd rather write this than do actual work today :-).

I agree with those of you who stated that fat is unhealthy, and I agree that the largest of these women's choice in swimwear is unfortunate. However, this being America, she has a right to wear it, while we have a right to say she looks gross. To those of you that stated "this is what women look like," well, this may be what SOME women look like, but it has nothing to do with being happy/healthy/hardworking/social. Obesity stems from portion sizes, food choices, activity level, and genetics (and in that order). If you eat huge portions and sit on your ass all day long, you'll get really big, unless you're genetically blessed or on crack (hey—just look at Courtney Love ). If you eat moderate portions (even higher-fat food), and stay active, most likely you won't. Unfortunately, the U.S. is a culture of gluttony--you can go anywhere else in the world and not find the kinds of portions they serve here, so it's no surprise that 60% of our population is overweight/obese. This is further exacerbated by having office jobs, having to drive everywhere rather than walk, and having hobbies that consist of sitting on our asses in front of the computer/Xbox360/TV/etc. Hell, just look at typically slender ethnicities that move here (Asians, etc.)--once they adopt the worst qualities of American culture, they blow up in no time. (And no, I’m not saying fat is good and normal and let’s all celebrate with a bacchanal where we roll around in food; I’m just saying it’s easier to get fatter here than anywhere else.)

What I find fascinating about all of this, though, is that the bigger our country has gotten, the more we hate fat people. It's under the guise of "taking care of them costs our country money," and that's true, but so do smokers, drug users, alcoholics, homeless, et al, yet we don't despise these people with the same white-hot heat that we do fat folks. Someone else mentioned that we're genetically programmed to dislike obesity, and that's bunk—it’s an entirely cultural thing. Societies all over the world, and ours too, long ago, prized the rotund person. It was a sign of wealth and health, since you had money to eat well and didn't have to labor in the fields all day, so the women who the media depicts as beautiful today would have been undesirable back then. Now, though, fat is a sign of poverty, since you don't have enough money to eat quality food (highly processed shit food is always the cheapest) and/or can't afford a gym, and hence the fat person is undesirable. What does it all mean? I don’t know—I certainly understand why the cultural shift occurred, I just don’t understand why the fat person is so hated. Anyone else have any thoughts?

  • 11:44, this girl honestly can't complain if she ever reads what people say here. She chose to wear an unflattering swimsuit and hang with a person who gets their picture taken often. If she has the guts (LOL) to wear it outside then she has the guts to bear up under scrutiny. Most fat people know how they're viewed in society, regardless of if it's wrong or right, and so she knew full well what she was doing when she put that bikini on.

And for all the women here saying we should back each other up? I am a woman, and I know what looks good and what doesn't look good on other women. I'm gonna tell another woman if she looks awful in public, because I'd want another woman to tell me. I'm not going to be all fake-positive and soft hearted like some of you all are. You know that fat girl doesn't look good in a bikini, so go ahead and "hurt her feelings" a little by telling her so! Maybe she'll learn from it and wear a dress over that mess next time! Nobody likes to look at gross fat, no matter how commonplace it is!

    By Anonymous, on 12:02 PM

  • oh, 11:44, why did you have to go and interject common sense and reason into this fascinating discussion...

    By Anonymous, on 12:08 PM

  • Not normal. Not normal. Not normal.

Don't tell me I'm "borderline pedo" because I like a woman who has some semblance of tone and defninition and takes some pride in how she looks. Larger ladies, don't be bitter and call everyone who was dealt a better genetic hand and/or isn't lazy a bulimic/anorexic coke addict. And don't call the guys who don't want anything to do with you names either. I like a woman who has hips and a thick ass as much (or more) than the next guy, but I don't want to slap a girl's ass and have the ripple effect create a flesh tsunami that will reverberate around her morbidly obese torso and slam into the back of my head.

If you're gross, own it. Don't make excuses.

    By Anonymous, on 12:17 PM

  • If you are gross, own it. No excuses.

    By Anonymous, on 12:19 PM

  • Jeez, even the "real women" Lany Bryant models don't look like the one on the right. Some of those big girls are HOT and toned for their size. This girl is fat and flabby.

Just because they make bikinis in size 20 doesn't mean you WEAR it.

    By Anonymous, on 12:23 PM

  • I am a FAT girl too - and I WEAR BIKINIS! I'm not some lonely hag who stays at home - I have a busy social life, plenty of dates and I exersize regularly! and I LOOK DAMN GOOD!

Just because someone is fat doesn't mean that they're not healthy. And PLEASE - don't even give me that shit because are you REALLY concerned with these girls' health? NOT! It's just another excuse to sling stupid 3rd grade insults. You won't see me calling skinny bitches names for having protruding hip bones or ribs sticking out - but that doesn't mean that they look good!

Just ACCEPT that people are made in all different sizes, colors and shapes and tastes - contrary to popular American media, the world doesn't revolve around the 20 inch waistline!

None of you asswipes would ever have a chance at Kelly or any of her girlfriends, so just get up, walk away from the puter and actually GET A LIFE and quit commenting on some girls having a fun day at the beach!

    By Anonymous, on 12:24 PM

  • did they go swimming? probably not.. i havent heard of tsunami occurance in those parts. phew.

    By Anonymous, on 12:24 PM

  • Hmmmm...I am torn on this one. I look a lot like that chick on the right and I would NEVER in a million billion years wear a 2 piece like that IN PUBLIC (or anywhere else actually). I recently gave up caring what I look like in a one piece skirted swimsuit when I do water areobics.
I am so embarassed for her and in a weird way angry at her for thinking she can run around looking like that. She makes all of us fatties look bad.
But in a weird way, maybe I am jealous, cause it takes some big balls to walk around like that on the beach with your much smaller friends. That's one big, brave girl.
And, I would never tell you that she is what "normal" women look like. Sheesh.
The one in the blue suit has suprisingly little cellulite comared to those side rolls she is sporting.

    By Anonymous, on 12:28 PM

  • I'm a fat girl, who's currently losing weight (I've lost 80 lbs so far, and I have 40 lbs to go to reach the healthy weight for my height), and I know the pain of being called names.

BUT.... I also know the reality of the world.

I've never dressed like this. I've always dressed for my "body type". Is that feeding into standards which society has set over body image expectations? Sure. But it's a fact of life that the world is not perfect, people will criticize those who look different and who go against societal norms. I've accepted that, and therefore, I don't walk around wearing two pieces when I know my body does not look good in them. This girl may not be a celebrity, but she walked on a beach in a two piece with a celebrity, she had to anticipate that this might happen. That's just how society is.

Try to equate it with this scernario: You're a gay man who's travelling through some back-roads into a sort of red-neckish small town with your life partner. If you were this guy, would you stop at the local truck stop/diner and make out with your partner in plain view of the crowd? No, of course not, because you would get your ass kicked severely. It's sad, and it shouldn't be that way, but it's a reality for the time being. This is along the same vein. If you look like this and go on a beach wearing a two piece with a celebrity, you have to expect the reactions will not be favorable.

Also, I agree with 11:39, it's an issue of health, and not simply aestetics. Being that heavy is not healthy (trust me, I know), and it is not normal. As someone who was in danger of developing diabetes at age 21, I can tell you, it's not ok. I'm all for empowering each other as women, but I feel you're not empowering any woman by telling her that, at 300lbs, she's perfectly fine. What's truly empowering is encouraging one another to be healthy, to be active, not to excuse their looks with this pseudo feminist rhetoric, the "you're ok, just the way you are" theory. That's not empowering, that's an excuse for laziness.

    By Anonymous, on 12:28 PM

  • the girl in the mismatched bikini is normal. she has thick legs but is fit. no pronounced gut or side rolls, and she isn't flabby. clarkson, blue bikini, and brown bikini could fare well with some intensive workouts and diet modifications. massive jiggly mess to the far right....jesus.

    By Anonymous, on 12:33 PM

  • 12:24 - "Just ACCEPT that people are made in all different sizes, colors and shapes and tastes - contrary to popular American media, the world doesn't revolve around the 20 inch waistline!"

fucking hilarious. if i couldn't pull any of the chicks in that photo, i'd hang myself right now.

    By Anonymous, on 12:37 PM

  • anon 12:24, you DID technically rag on skinny chicks in your post, but I digress.

The fact is, anon 12:24, if someone is OBESE they are NOT healthy. I don't care how you justify it to yourself, it's a fact of science; it is not healthy.(And obviously, there is a different between being "fat", and being obese... and that one girl is obese.)

Now, you can still maintain a healthy lifestyle while having some extra fat on your body, this I will concede. However, there is not a credible doctor on Earth who will tell you that having a BMI of 30 or over is healthy. It's not happening. Sorry.

Go on and be proud of your looks, sweetheart. More power to you. But don't fool yourself. The chick on the far right is not healthy and this is not "just her body shape." She is obese, and she will put herself in an early grave. But who cares, right? Because, according to what I gather from your post, as long as she thinks she's all that, then she's just fine, yeah?

    Wrong.

HAHHHAHHAHAHA. Congrats on being yet another one of the legions of fat moms playing the "REAL WOMEN" card. Guess what? Slender women are REAL women too, and not by starving themselves or working out 24 hours a day. Get off your big fat high horse and get to the gym if you and your daughter are so worried about being fat. You SHOULD be worried -- appearance issues aside (and there are plenty of them), it's not healthy. Stop acting like a freaking martyr.

  • This is getting stupid. I wear a size 20 and I'm in actually in good health according to my doctor, but I would never be caught dead on a public beach in a two-piece. It has nothing to do with my self-esteem or how social/out-going I am. It simply doesn't look good. As a big girl I'm appalled at some of the clothing that is sold for plus-size women. Bikinis, mini-skirts, stretchy pants...none of these items are flattering on women of larger size. I like to flaunt it just as much as the skinny girls, but there is a way to do it where it looks good.

Ever seen a fat bitch lose her dignity at the club when she makes out with the one loser guy at the bar 15 minutes after ditching her fat friends and talking to him? Sad fat cows have no respect for themselves, and they think by wearing a bikini it empowers them? That's like the nerdy kid at school who would pick his nose just to gross out the kids who made fun of him.

  • 11:44 here - I want to clarify that I do not think that obesity is healthy, even as an obese person.

And I want to throw out the possibility that perhaps this girl was not at the beach with Kelly Clarkson, but merely walked up and said hello. She may not have known she would be photographed. Still, she shouldn't wear a two-piece swimsuit.

My intent in writing my response was to suggest less name calling on this girl. Whoever suggested that eating healthier is expensive is absolutely correct...it's more expensive to buy alot of fresh produce and high quality/low fat/low calorie food. For all we know, though, this girl has lost 40 lbs. and is wanting to show off her results. We just don't know the story behind these photos and I think it's such a disgrace that most of you think it's okay to throw out the stereotypical sayings/phrases when referencing fat people.

There are alot of us. And we want to look like you. I would hope you could be somewhat mature and make us want to BE like you too.

    By Anonymous, on 1:08 PM

  • I love the women/men on this blog who say they object to the obese woman in a bikini NOT because she's fat and in a bikini, but because she is unhealthy and doing damage and it's sad. Puh-leeze. Like you give a shit about her health! It's just a subtle way to put her down without seeming to criticize her weight.

Here it is: does she look good in that bikini? No. Does it flatter her? No. Because she is overweight. But... does that mean she has no right to wear it? No, for the love of god! She can wear whatever the fuck she wants. If it offends you, click a fuckin' link. You have no right to deem what is offensive or otherwise.

Todd, I think you fucked up on this one. I hope your ass doesn't get sued by one of these girls' families for emotional distress or something.

And it looks like these are her friends from home, shes not like Spears or Lindsey, she has the SAME friends and Im sure she bought the trip for everyone because she LOVES them. She Is a breath of fresh air and Im the meanest Dolly loving guy on here.

  • 12:00, you made some great points. But I honestly don't have a clue, either.

I think Americans hate fat people so much partly because it's a self-hatred thing. As you said, the majority of Americans are fat, so where does all this hatred come from? I don't think it's just the fit minority. I think the majority of haters are fat people, actually.

Perhaps because, unlike religion, race, or sexual orientation (the latter is still of course argued on either side), obesity is something an individual can control. We're taught from young ages that fat people are lazy, glutoness, and irresponsible burdens on society who lack all self-control. Fat people are lampooned in cartoons watched by the youngest of children. We are taught that fat people are bad, and yet, this is the same society that would rather spend an evening in front of the tv, rather than go on a family bike ride.

And I do believe this is a relatively recent development. I am 23 and I remember as a child (less than 20 years ago) my family and I would go for nightly walks, bike rides, have basketball games at the park, swim in our pool. There was no such thing as "primetime tv" except for TGIF on ABC (remember those shows guys?). We wouldn't even watch Sat. morning cartoons, we were immediately outside, first thing Sat. mornings. And we stayed out until the sun went down. This was not just my family, this was every family in our neighborhood.

It's not that way now. I live in the same neighborhood, full of new young families and you never see children outside playing on the weekends anymore. Our priorities have changed as a society.

    By Anonymous, on 1:17 PM

  • why do we stand up for and justify the actions of someone increasing their risk for all sorts of health care problems. if someone were smoking a cigarette you wouldn't say "don't make fun of her she can do what she wants, it's ok if it's bad for her." normal women aren't sticks but they should not supported when they're obese, it's unhealthy. america is killing itself with obesity.

    By Anonymous, on 1:20 PM

  • EMOTIONAL DISTRESS? Stop being pussies, people! These women are in public view and I can guarantee you that people there at the beach were likely saying the exact same things that are being said here. We have a right to say what we want to say about how bad they look, regardless of whether they cry about it or not! Nobody starts whining and crying whenever Cameron Diaz's fugly self and her fugly friends are caught looking like shit on camera. Why? Because they're all skinny and can make quicker movements to defend themselves than fat people can or something? You came to a celebrity gossip blog, don't expect Dr. Phil bullshit of self-acceptance and love, because that ain't what celebrity is about! I come here to trash everyone equally!
