All abusers try to justify their behavior by listing all the "wonderful" things they do for their kids.    sometimes it takes showing everyone else what an asshole, that you know someone is in person, to everyone else. people have a way of being two faced. If he's already like that behind doors to her its not the worst thing in the world for everyone else to know what he does to her. and her mother is also not protecting herself and taking a chance by releasing the tape, with her second contempt of court or whatever so she's not doing it ALL for her own interests. It may have been a jab at alec from kim, but it at least it was at him and not the daughter.

8. It has yet to be proven that Kim leaked the tape. Could have been someone who worked at the court house, could have been Ireland, or a friend of Kim or Ireland.

10. my father was the same way when i was little. pretty much degraded me and my sister every chance he could and tried to instill fear in us. its reasons like this why you learn that divorce is a beautiful thing and i must say it was the best damn thing that ever happened to my life. but unlike alec.....my father didnt want anything to do with me and my sister much afterwards yet in my late teens he tried to connect and act all nice etc.. it didnt work and hes kicked out of my life for good..my sister still talks to him though (dumbass). it sucks that children pretty much have no say so in a custody battle. society has this jaded perception that kids need both mother and father in their life to function but its all bullshit. i never got along with both of my parents anyway.

I feel bad for Alec for being judged by the world when by far, the mother and the daughter aren’t angels either. These are verbal abuse but they go on in every day homes more than you can imagine! Because it’s the right thing to say or when you look back on it, these comments sounds really bad doesn’t mean that’s what people don’t do when they are put into such a situation!     I hate to defend Alec Baldwin, and I don't know that I should, but it sounds entirely possible that his wife is a vindictive, scheming b*tch, his girl is spoiled, inconsiderate, and/or brain-washed by her mom, and he had a few drinks too many and went overboard. That's my gut impression from listening to that tape. I'm not a parent, but I work with kids aged 5-15, and can't imagine talking to *any* of them like that. But I can see how it might be possible for someone to get that steamed and make an a$$ of himself. What he did was wrong, but possibly under duress. What Mother Kim did was worst of all, though. The kid is likely suffering 100 times more from the attention of this than from anything her father said. Make HER answer for herself on Larry King...
