  • Ooooh, Jenny, now you've got me all excited.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 15:37:34

  • thats ridiculous the persons whole story revoles around a small encounter in a restraunt but he know the inner most working on how they raise thier child as a parent of a child with cancer i dont understand how someone who met the family one time who pretend to know so much about them . This all falls back to the "friend" source . A close personal friend said that "they chain him in a dungeon and beat him" it bull.i for the record am agnostic not a scientoligist i jusst think this is dumb fucking story

    By Gil, on May 10, 2007 15:42:12

  • There are enough stories about this that I've read over the years to believe this is true. Stop defending Scientology because it makes you look stupid.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 15:48:00

  • 184212 your a dumbass. It also states that they are neighbors. Sounds like your in the nile. Oops denial.

    By chuggdog, on May 10, 2007 15:50:58

  • oops. I guess I'm in the nile. They live near each other. They are not neighbors. He must have rumbled through their trash and figured all the twinkie wrappers were their sons and not Johns.

    By chuggdog, on May 10, 2007 15:52:44

  • 18:42:12 me not speell well eder. me no thinnk tories wrung

  • What's a G-spot?

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 16:07:40

  • I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't know what the G-spot is or how to use Google.

By feel sorry, on May 10, 2007 16:18:35

  • Yeah, the kid doesn't know how to talk yet, maybe that's because the nanny doesn't speak English and daddy is too busy to take the cock out of his mouth to teach his son how to say anything.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 16:20:04

  • Well im a parent of a child with Autism and Autism is not something to ignore. Its best to seek treatment as soon as possible or you are doing your child a diservice.....

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 16:28:00

  • That poor child is a normal kid trapped in a malfunctioning body and knows his parents are ashamed of him and don't love him enough to help him. It's so sad. I hope CPS helps him. =(

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 16:36:00

  • You never see pics of that kid. He's 14 years old now! You see recent pictures of them with the daughter though. I don't think that's a coincidence.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 16:37:14

  • Maybe he saw his dad making out with another dude. That would have made me autistic, I think. Scientology is definately totally whack ...but whatever secret voodoo they are working to keep Kelly Preston smoking hot at her age might be proof of benevolent space aliens.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 16:50:28

  • Hail Xeno, er Xenu!! Whatever.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 16:50:46

  • If this father feels that autism is something from which one can "recover" he is the one in denial.

By the way, anon number 2, an autistic person is not "trapped in a malfunctioning body." You may be confusing autism with cerebral palsy. Apples and oranges.

    By Annabel, on May 10, 2007 16:53:41

  • Autism needs to be treated by specialists so these kids and adults can live as "normal" a life as possible, but there is no cure for it, but sitting these people in front of the television and ignoring them is the worst thing you can do to them.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 16:56:49

  • "The Hollywood actor interviewed describes having autism as "like being trapped within yourself, and having difficulty letting normal people know who you really are."

That sounds a lot like "trapped in a malfunctioning body" to me.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 17:02:16

  • Autism is as unique as the sufferer.

For a stranger, who is not a physician, to attempt to diagnose anyone's child is irresponsible.

I hate these these celebrities as much as the next person, but leave the kid out of it. There is no "cure" for autism. He is probably left out of social situations because he is over stimulated by them. Also, many autistic people never become verbal. It is not a matter of "teaching" them to talk. They simply don't.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 17:41:36

  • Gotta love them scientologists.....if Tom Cruise can cure depression, help the first responders of 911, and take care of his outbursts, then what the eff is wrong with a twinkie diet???? I certaintely don't see anyting amiss here...

    By PHF, on May 10, 2007 17:42:08

  • He's a restaraunt manager who is in the neighbourhood, not a neighbour. I have no clue if Jett is Autistic, but how the hell would a restaraunt mgr diagnose it, or have a clue about what happens in their home?

That aside, if the child does have a condition that they are refusing to address, they should rot in Hell :D

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 17:52:47

  • Thanks for not seeing the big picture, Google this shit and read all the stories about Travolta's autistic son the press is too scared to report and all the other Scientology related abuse before you call these stories untrue assholes.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 17:57:17

  • Whether friend or not, this guy is right. The Travoltas were told more than a decade ago that something was profoundly wrong with Jett. They declined all medical treatment in favor of $cientology crapola.

Jett will be tucked away in a room somewhere (like Kelly's other child, not by John) and ignored eventually - because if $cientology isn't working then Jett is the problem, not the crapola.

    Poor kid.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 18:11:08

  • I hope they have slow and painful deaths.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 18:43:18

  • i don't give a shit about the autism, what i want to know is why restaurants have a policy of comping celebrities? celebrities are the ones who can afford the fucking meal! they should comp homeless people if they need to give away food so badly.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 18:46:36

  • I have noticed over the years that Jett just didn't appear like any other kids his age. Stories started in the paper-this was when he was a toddler. Kelly did some interview about Kawasaki's disease-a real issue, but claimed it was from Jett being exposed to all kinds of chemicals like when she would have the carpet cleaned. Then you just didn't see him anymore. They don't take their daughter in front of the public often, but I have seen photos in celeb magazines with their daughter Ella at premiers of children's movies and family oriented things. But Jett is never there. And if the Travolta's totally follow Scientology that poor little boy wouldn't be getting all of the medical help he needs.

    By Suzanne , on May 10, 2007 18:47:47

  • No one knows that the kid is front of videos all day, no one knows if he eats junk food (which I'd prefer over the organic shit). I think the Travoltas are crap holes, but it has nothing to do with their kid. These stories can't be proven. I work with autistic kids and sometimes all the money in the world won't buy communication. Get over it.

    By IbePiglet, on May 10, 2007 19:46:10

Young girls read this and i kind of thought this site frowned on Whores....I mean I come here everyday and it does! Thats one reason I like it. I know you like girls and guys....which makes you a slut to begin with, but must you even joke about fucking 3 men at once. That is just plain ignorant to even type here. Get a Fucking Clue Jen. talk about them....NOT YOU! I am with you on the laundry thou....

  • I have a child with ASD [autism spectrum disorder] and this story is quite disturbing. My child is at the higher functioning end of this disorder and I get him the all the help I feel he needs and more and I am always exploring other avenues and new treatments. And believe me, we do not have a thimble of the money these people have, but he is my child and I will do anything for him to make his life better.

    As for the comment below:

i don't give a shit about the autism, what i want to know is why restaurants have a policy of comping celebrities? celebrities are the ones who can afford the fucking meal! they should comp homeless people if they need to give away food so badly.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 21:46:36

I can not agree more. That was my first reaction. This makes me sick, and can't believe that these celebrities take full advantage too.... What world and values are we leaving our children....... It does not make sense.

    By anonymous, on May 10, 2007 23:17:06

  • There are so many people living in the state of denial, it must be totally overcrowded.

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 00:24:14

  • How the fuck does this guy know what is going on inside their home? He met them once and all of the sudden he's some kind of fucking confidant? I hate this scientology bullshit, but it pisses me off when I see shit like this and the media jumps all over it and reports it as if it were substantiated and proven. For all we know this guy could be a jealous, jaded prick.

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 06:02:49

  • <quote>Jett will be tucked away in a room somewhere (like Kelly's other child, not by John)</quote>

What?? She has another kid? When? Who's the daddy?

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 06:43:59

  • I don't like either Travolta or Scientology particularly, that said, however, I don't see what a restaurant manager's business is asking a stranger about their child and then passing judgment. Why would Travolta share any information about his son with someone he does not know?

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 07:13:55

  • ===

=== I Believe this 100%! They never take that kid out.

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 07:51:23

  • WHAT IS that poor kid gonna do when he becomes an adult and John and Kelly passes away and he won't be able to function in society (ie work, support himself, socialize, have a place to live?)

I respect people's choice of religion but Scientology, from everything I read and heard about it, sounds like a load of BS

    By JohnDoes, on May 11, 2007 08:03:06

  • By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 08:39:09

  • I agree with some of the commments made - how exactly does this Tim Kenny have "intimate knowledge" - and if he wanted to, he would report the Travolta's to CPS and not get his own name in the media - I am really surprised they didn't mention the name of his restaurant.

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 08:46:20

  • As someone who has worked with Kindergarteners with Autism, I can attest to witnessing first-hand progress with early intervention. John and Kelly are to blame by NOT "treating" their son's Autism. Damn Scientology!

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 08:47:30

  • So-called autism is a behavioral disorder anyway--an invention of the 20th century to excuse poor parenting.

    By nowhereman, on May 11, 2007 10:25:54

  • Such a shame what has become of of the coolest member of the Sweathogs!

  • Kelly Preston is HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 11:39:07

  • This story is the absolute truth. John and Kelly have broken relations with a lot of their family and friends over this matter. Jett is severely autistic and walks around all day on his tippy-toes (classic sign) and doesn't speak at all. That wouldn't necessarily have been the case had there been some early intervention and he received treatment earlier. It's so sad with all of their money and fame, they could have not only helped their little boy, both others in similar circumstances.

By Ugly Truth, on May 11, 2007 12:01:44

  • Whether or not the story about Travolta's son is true, scientologists are still utter and complete morons, and their idiotic advice results in people's DEATHS. I wouldn't doubt it's true at all. See below:

    ********************

Hey, nowhereman, where did you get your medical degree? Last time I checked, autism is recognized medical condition, idiot. Or is this really John in disguise?

Parents have a duty to their children to help them grow up to be productive members of society. By not getting Jett early help, they've failed him. Period.

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 12:19:21

  • Kelly Preston is a crazy old whore, but I'd tap that ass harder than a 747 flying into a building.

Show of hands,,,, i mean at least 48 hours,,, Quote from: hate these these celebrities as much as the next person, but leave the kid out of it. There is no "cure" for autism. • Is it just me or does his son look like Eddie Munster?

    By Sebastien, on May 11, 2007 13:11:51

  • Autism has the best chance of treatment, regardless of the level of function of the child, if addressed early.
$cientologists believe that if a child has a disorder that they are imperfect and being punished for something.
So John and Kelly have excused it as some kawasaki disease that developed when they cleaned their carpet. Kawasaki's symptoms are not anything like those described by friends who have witnessed Jett in person.

Idiots. It is, indeed, child abuse to leave him untreated.

    By whitedaisy, on May 11, 2007 13:38:33

  • I believe the quote that they let him sit around eating junk food all day...that child is bigger than his father! Not only is he autistic, he seems obese to boot! Get that child some proper help!! Shame!

    By bitingontinfoil, on May 11, 2007 14:03:05

  • burntfinger, I can tell YOU have never spent much time around an autistic kid. I have -- I'm still living with two of them, and related to several others.

Yeah, there's no cure. There are, however, therapies and medications that allow a child to learn how to talk, learn, interact, control him/herself and other things that allow them to become more normal, if never quite normal.

And it is definitely abuse to let that poor kid rot away because his nasty, selfish parents are too ashamed of him. If you don't want the kid to be overstimulated (which doesn't apply to ALL social situations), you don't simply plop him in front of a TV with a bag of cheetos, and ignore him.

Gil, except plenty of others have backed it up. And if it's not true, then how come the Revoltas never bother to refute the "he's autistic, they treat him like crap" stories? Because they ARE true.

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 14:51:52

  • I am NOT a scamantologist, "anonymous." I am telling you that you can't KNOW what they've done (or not) for their son simply because he doesn't talk! Yeah, early intervention is key, but some kids who get TONS of early intervention and loads of therapy just don't ever "get" it. I can't imagine what it's like to like with an autistic child 24/7. You just can't make judgments about what they've done by how the kid is! The child is fat? So are millions of children, those of "famous" and others.

    By IbePiglet, on May 11, 2007 15:22:45

  • $cientology teaches that psychological disorders (autism is classified as such, although it is more appropriately deemed a neurological one) are caused by too many "thetans" in your body. Therefore autism = moral failure, and is indeed considered shameful by $cientologists. It is well-known within the autism community that Travolta's son has autism, just as it is well-known in Hollywood that Travolta likes a little sausage on the side - no one here seems to question THAT little gossip tidbit, though...

    By Shannon, on May 11, 2007 15:29:58

  • Kelly has another son by her first husband in Hawaii, who is cared for by her family. He also has severe problems, and can't live on his own.

ALLEGEDLY (so my favorite gossip blog can't be sued by those $cientology zombies.)

Story goes that Kelly's family had to sue Kelly to get her first child treated with traditional medicine and therapies. There is a huge rift between them because Kelly wanted total $cientology control over the kid from California. Her family, who diaper and feed the boy (all grown up now), who provide the hands on care, won the case and the child gets the best of whatever modern medicine can provide.

I suspect that Kelly refused to pay for any evil Western medicine or psychiatric drugs and that the court case made it her obligation.

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 15:36:58

  • Having read several articles now about Scientology's view (or lack of) on autism, I am appalled. I still contend that no one knows what the family has or has not provided, nor that early intervention and/or money spent on therapies guarantees communication or improvements of any kind. I don't get these people who just refuse to acknowledge something that affects so many people. Asswipes, they are.

    By IbePiglet, on May 11, 2007 15:55:21

  • I didn't know therapy could even help an autistic child that couldn't talk, or doesn't even speak with his own parents. And why do restaurants comp food for celebrities!?!?! They can TOTALLY afford to eat out at expensive restaurants, that really fucking annoys the crap outta me!

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 16:01:25

  • I work in special education. Autism is not curable, but the changes therapies can make in a child's life are massive. The earlier the intervention with said therapies, the better. Many of the autistic children I have worked with have above average intelligence, one is probably a genius. I didn't even know Travolta had an autistic child. I'm not a fan, and don't read much about him. This caught my attention because of my interest in autism. I fully believe Scientology is a fraud and a sham and should be investigated as such. For pity's sake, L Ron was a TERRIBLE sci-fi writer! Why would anyone take his crappy science fiction as "gospel"?

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 16:01:47

  • That is child abuse and I seriously hope he gets the interventions he needs. :( Poor kid.

    By A concerned person, on May 11, 2007 16:02:58

  • Kelly Preston not only shills for scientology, sha also advertises for Neutrogena. Neutrigena is owned by Johnson & Johnson. Johnson & Johnson also owns Orth-McNeil Neurologics who produce "Haldol", and Janssen who produces "Risperdal" and "Concerta". These drugs are used in the treatment of ADD and Postpartum Depression.
I have met Travolta, and got a glimpse of Jett, who at the age of 13 was parked in front of the T.V. watching Barney. It is a shame, the boy is morbidly obese and gets no exercise. Jett is confined to the hotel room with his nannies, while daddy goes to the spa and hits on the male therapists.

    By PTS, on May 11, 2007 16:14:59

  • I feel sorry for anyone who believes this garbage! How truly ridiculous!

    By Jo, on May 11, 2007 16:30:46

  • I don't know if this story was true or what but bringing an autistic child to some fucking parazzi event like a movie premier would seem a bit irresponsible to me since he would get over stimulated, maybe frightened, and it would end up being a nightmare for him.

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 16:52:33

  • I also have to agree that the kid is huuuuge for his age ... with all the money they have and the time they could be spending with him .. they should be getting him to exercise .. even if he has autism I'm not sure it's against the rules to give them healthy food or make him exercise ...

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 17:00:08

  • Reading those doubting people's comments above-just look at that poor kid. Jett obviously has medical problems. He is obviously not anything like a normal 14 year old. That poor kid, not getting the help he so obviously needs.

    By WTF!!, on May 11, 2007 17:32:25

  • This just makes me SICK!
Autism is a sad disorder I watch my son deal with daily. No cure, just love and HELP gets us to hopefully a place my son will be functioning on his own
    Shame on that family.
And for you folk who think this is a joke, you can go f*ck yourself

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 19:24:41

  • Are they really trying for another baby? I read this earlier in the week

    http://gossip.commongate.com/post/John_Travolta_Wants_More_Kids_at_53

    By anonymous, on May 11, 2007 20:58:37

  • Autism was invented during WWII by Austrian Leo Kanner, fellow countryman of that wild and wacky Sigmund Freud. (What is it about these zany Austrians?) It became popular in the late 20th century as have-it-all baby boomers and their self-indulgent children failed to discipline their own children and looked for something to absolve them of responsibility. While I don't agree with Scientology either, John and Kelly's dismissal of autism is right on track. And for the record, homosexuality was for years a well-documented and respected medical condition. Doctors have since learned that they were confused then, and have now changed their minds. Perhaps one day they will do so with autism.

    By nowhereman, on May 11, 2007 21:13:38

  • Being intimately acquainted with autism, those pictures make me think that Jett is profoundly autistic. If that's the case, the accusations about videos and crap food aren't legitimate. If the restaurant owner truly does have a child with autism, he should know that many of the more severely affected kids use tv and certain shows as a sort of security blanket. Think 'Rainman' with his Judge Wopner fixation, only with less verbalizing of the desire to watch and a lot more yelling and physically freaking out, and you have an idea of what it's like to deny an autistic kid his or her access to Thomas the Tank Engine/Barney/Blue's Clues/Ron Popeil infomericals/whatever the fixation is.

As for food, many autistic kids severely self-limit their diet, often literally refusing to eat unless the food offered is the preferred one. The principle that a kid will eventually eat what's put in front of him when he gets hungry enough doesn't apply to autistic children. They will lierally not eat at all, for days on end, until the necessary or 'approved' food is given to them. Unfortunately, a lot of the kids will only eat things like french fries, chicken nuggets, crackers or pop tarts. Anything else will be refused, and the child has to eat something. A feeding tube isn't an option, because the child will lose the ability to eat and lose those oral motor and fine motor skills if he's tubed.

So, I think Preston and Travolta are assholes for not offering appropriate treatment to their son, but they're not quite the monsters this guy thinks they are. They're on par with Christian Scientists who withhold care, and that's bad enough, but it's not their fault he's overweight and attached to the tv.

    By Cassandra, on May 11, 2007 23:23:30

  • If some stranger decided to quiz me about how I bring up my kids, I'd high-tail it out of there too. This guy has set himself up as an all-knowing expert on the Travolta family and is peddling his opinions as facts.

All those people sitting there nodding, muttering "Oooh, yes, BAAAAAD parent!" based on the second-hand say-so of some bloke who has seen the Travoltas around town a couple of times, you need to get out more. Get some fresh air.

    By Miss X, on May 12, 2007 02:05:39

  • 184212, sure your not a scientologist.

    By anonymous, on May 12, 2007 03:05:52

  • about the pic of Jett walking on his toes...Toe walking at his age is a sign that he has form of sensory intetration for sure. Autism can be helped with a lot of work and therapy...not necessarily drug therapy but by eliminating dietary triggers and physical therapy, most kids with this condition are highly sensitive to noises so no taking him to crowded parties is one good they do for him (although it's probably really for THEM).

    By anonymous, on May 12, 2007 05:50:38

  • This makes me mad. I'm never going to pay to see another John Travolta movie. The guy made a choice to follow a cult that prevents him from helping his own son. That's not love. He doesn't love his kids. He's a selfish, brainwashed fucking idiot.

    By anonymous, on May 12, 2007 08:30:20

  • i have an 15 yr old autistic nephew who does not speak and will never speak. he uses a talker and even that is minimal. there are varying degrees of autism from mild to severe. he has simple basic skills. he can use a computer, he only recently within the past few years got "pottytrained". you can not judge these people. spend one day with an autistic child and then make your comments.

    By glowie, on May 12, 2007 09:58:11

  • one last thing, my nephew was HUGE! he would sit and eat junk and bread all day, god forbid you tried to take it away....he would wollop you one. taking him out is a chore. he approaches strangers, he grabs other children...forget restaurants....i feel for them. its really hard.

  • Do autistic children walk on their tip toes?

I know other genetic disorders cause this to happen too.

    By anonymous, on May 12, 2007 11:33:44

  • Maybe Jett caught dad 69ing the gardener in the master bedroom one day and hasn't quite been the same since.

    By anonymous, on May 12, 2007 11:49:49

  • As a special education teacher, I can safely say that having an autistic child is not easy. It is very difficult, but if addressed early in life, an autistic child can speak orally OR communicate via PEC symbol cards. Also, autistic kids CAN be socialized into society. It just takes a lot of work and practice and ups and downs. Jet is very obese so it looks to me that his parents simply give in and give him anything he wants, in case he has a tantrum. The bigger he gets, the bigger his tantrums get. I have a friend with two autistic sons. BOTH can read, one is oral, and they both take swimming lessons. One is in a track and field meet this weekend.

John and Kelly have taken the easy way out of not dedicating their life to their son. I even heard John talking a few months ago of wanting another child. Give it a rest. The likelihood of having another autistic child is very high. Plus, Kelly is well into her 40's.

I have heard John bragging on and on and on about his daughter-how she is a diva and a dancer. I never hear him brag about Jet. My friend braggs about her autistic sons progress frequently- and so she should!

    By keller, on May 12, 2007 12:21:10

  • Another point....Eating is probably a comfort for Jett..think about it, he is given food to pacify him instead of treatment, intervention, or (if needed) a behavioral medication for his possible autism because its an easy solution..and for John & Kelly not to intervene w/ an appropriate diet (the least they can do) when it is as clear as day that he is not at a healthy weight, the Travoltas are sending Jett to an early grave. God bless him.

    By anonymous, on May 12, 2007 16:27:21

  • As an elementary teacher who has specialized in Special Education, intervention at the earliest time is paramount. If it is Autism - for nothing has been really confirmed- and help has not been sought, then there is cause for concern for his future. They must realize where to draw the line. Jet is in his teens - have they seen any improvement using unconventional methods of treatment or dealing with the situation? Which is more important, the health and well-being of this beautiful child, or Scientoloogy and its doctrine.Of course there are some doctors who over prescribe, and I am sure this is an area of concern for them, but treatment for Autism does not just mean over-medicate, it also involves therapy. Treatment helps children function to their potential in the real world. What will happen to Jet when his parents have passed on? Will this burden be left to the sibling next in line? As parents, we are given the responsibility to give our children tools, skills and knowledge in order to survive the real world. What lessons, if any, are given here?

  • As the parent of an Autistic child this makes me want to hurl. Autism IS A DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY not an excuse for poor parenting. With proper therapy and care it can be MANAGED, not cured. Any other people would have had their child taken away for this.

  • My granddaughter was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3, and shes 5 now, and since they started her in therapy sessions, and a special school, she has improved 100 percent. She used to not hardly talk at all, and now you can have short conversations with her..she calls me grandma now..she used to call me Aunt Pam, thats my daughter..she knows her ABCs, and her teacher thinks she may be a savant. In some subjects, like math, she tested higher than the normal kids..She would have never come this far without lots of help..I hope this story isn't true..it would be so sad for that boy!

    By judi, on May 12, 2007 19:16:22

  • Those kids look like Eddie Munster and the tabloid Space Baby.

    By kacky, on May 13, 2007 01:22:43

  • oops, now I'm sorry I called him Eddie Munster. I did that before reading. Shame on me. I have a child with autism.

    By Kacky, on May 13, 2007 01:23:49

  • Still feeling bad. My guy is 22 and he doesn't talk, but he can type. He'll take himself to the bathroom for number 2 but still bladder incontinent. We work on it every day. He build birdhouses in a sheltered workshop. Wonderful guy and I'm sure Jeff is too.

    By Kacky, on May 13, 2007 01:27:59

  • Gil, you have a good point. People make assumptions about my parenting after having met my adult autistic son only once. It's enough to drive a family underground.

    By Kacky, on May 13, 2007 08:05:49

  • kelly preston has some quality dna. 2 fucked up kids with 2 different guys? she needs to be sterilized immediately.

    By anonymous, on May 13, 2007 09:33:11

  • there is no cure of autism, despite that dan marino says his son is now cured of autism. there are varying degrees of autism.
i have worked special ed kids when i was a pre-school paraprofessional. some were really serious( set of twin boys), some were mild cases in which the children would one day be able to function somewhat independently like working as a bagger at a store, clean up crew, greeter, etc. something under others watchful eyes. travlota's need to restrict his diet. find a diet for him. put him on qa diet. get that weight down. it is not best for an autistic kid. it can be helpful to their mental growth if they have a diet. accept this is real. it is real. this is not science fiction. if kelly had a son before, and that is one deep and hush hush story, then it may be her as a carrier. what is the degree of her first son's condition? what is his condition? what is jett's degree of autism? it mostly effects boys than girls. lastly ,they need to get the proper schooling from professionals and teachers, not the gurus/cons/psychobabblists/so-called self-professed experts, but just regular PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS.
a few of the many famous people with children who have autism: dan marino, boomer eaison, jenny mccarthy, julie newmar, toni braxton...

    By buffalo, on May 13, 2007 13:38:55

  • looking back at the pic, jet is toe-walking as if he was on stage in a ballet performance. next ,kelly is dressed for a warm day, JETT IS TIGHTLY BUNDLED UP IN HIS HOODY, two signs of AUSTIC BEHAVIORS, having SENOSRY ISSUES.
they like tighness. they like to fee lwighted or have a need to becaus ethey do not feel weighted . that is whyone simple, cheap tech for austic kids is to wear light ankle or wrist weights. now ,some kids donot like the feeel of touch binding them like a necklace or weights. EVERY AUTISTIC PERSON IS DIFFERENT. one more definiton of austism in lay perosn' terms as it was said tome by the teachers i wokred for is that the autistic child has so many and all things going on in the head, but it is all at one time so nothing come sout, senory, etc., like it should.
POOR JETT TRAVLOTA. Pity THAT JOHN AND KELLY TRAVOLTA ARE SO WRAPPED IN TIS SCIENCEFICTION RELIGOUS OF WAY OF LIVING CULT, THEY ARE LOST. SOLOST. maybe since tom cruise is considered by scientogist to be a proffet and a healer and has powers , ( he has said he has neverbeen sick since his belifes in scientology), maybe they cna have him heal jett.

    By buffalo, on May 13, 2007 13:53:17

  • Listen the guy has no right asking and judging John on his parenting of his son. I guess you all want one way to deal with this or else . What jail? It is their son and their call. I am sure he will be taken care of. They live in a country with separation of church and state and religious freedom. I may not like scientology but tolerating it is what our country was founded on. What the heck is wrong with people these days

    By anonymous, on May 13, 2007 14:05:43

  • My son is autistic and I hate it when strangers like to judge how someone is parenting their child. You cant treat autism w/ drugs . No one knows what these people do behind closed doors , so we have no idea what treatment he may or may not be getting. I know I wouldnt want to discuss my sons life w/ a nosey stranger. Maybe Travolta doesnt want his sons personal issues being used as fodder for the tabloids.

    By anonymous, on May 13, 2007 15:53:41

  • why the fuck is the kid so FAT? stop fucking overfeeding him travolta, you fat fuck.

    By livvie, on May 14, 2007 04:24:22

  • I can't quite put a finger on it, but lately it seems like everytime I read the internet I dislike John Travolta more.

This poses a problem because I love all of his movies
(except Battlefield Earth, I haven't seen it yet)

For such a beloved actor, people sure like to "out" him.

    Ouch!

By Oh, robot, on May 14, 2007 06:36:47

  • So in this country we will tolerate all sorts of abuse because we are FORCED to respect religions like $cientology?

Jeez, move to the Middle East, where girls are killed for their family's honor, and people are FORCED to respect the religious angle of murder.

Kelly and John are nuts. They would rather their child rot in a room than get him the best treatment and therapies they can afford - all this in the name of a religious psychosis.

And I have to respect this?! Sorry, like all religious delusions, this idiocy doesn't deserve my respect.

    By anonymous, on May 14, 2007 12:09:58

  • Does Kelly have antother child with some one else? The rest of the family is slim and the poor boy looks very over weight.

    By anonymous, on May 15, 2007 10:28:17

  • To those who seem to think that John Travolta is not that boys father..he is. They look just alike. I don't like Scientology but I don't think it is necessary to medicate their son simply because there are pills that "help" autism. There seem to be alot of ignorant people on this blog or those who simply don't know what they are talking about. Most autism children are overweight. Obviously you people don't know any autistic children. If you did.. you would know that most can not function enough to run on a treadmill. I also read that they take the daughter out but they don't take him. So you seem to think that is unfair and wrong. Well, most autistic children are sensitive to noise. Even if they wanted to take him to a movie premier or a birthday party it would be too much excitement for him. There ears are very sensitive to noise. For the person who seems to think that autism is just another word for bad parenting. You are just as ignorant as they come. So because John and Kelly are bad parents their son can't speak, can't think for himself, can't bathe himself, nor can he probably feed himself. That all stems from bad parenting? It's people like you who have their ass on backwards. Note to self; religion freaky.

    By anonymous, on May 19, 2007 13:27:14

  • I can't dispute anything that was said since I don't know the people involved, BUT I do know Ocala. The part about 'comping a meal' per restaurant policy sounds like a major crock since Ocala is a hicktown. I can see how a NASCAR driver or a Bass Fisherman of the Year might get a free waffle, but a visiting movie celebrity??? Ocala isn't a wealthy city (per capita income of $18,021), so Travolta is a complete JERK if he allowed a local restaurant to pay for his meal.

    By Jeebus, on May 23, 2007 14:50:39

  • how could an autistic child only eat french fries,nugetts...if no one ever gave it to him in the first place? He developed taste for it becouse someone feed him. IF, he never had tasted it, ever, he would not eat shit like that but something that is acctually food.

    By anonymous, on May 26, 2007 02:44:10

  • @May 19, you make some very good points. Pumping drugs in a kid or adult to help cope with illnesses/disorders etc isn't the answer, however Travolta and his wife completely deny the fact that the kid has autism in the first place. Sensitivity to noise or not, those 2 parents are more embarrassed of the boy than sensitive. Shame on them.

    By anonymous, on May 26, 2007 13:39:32

  • Kelly has 2 slow sons? Xenu must have poo pooed in her ovaries.

    By anonymous, on May 26, 2007 13:56:11

  • Ok so the kid has has to eat cheesy pizza everyday or else he'd starve, but do they have to give him 15??!
