I almost NEVER wear make-up and I don't look like THAT without it! I also don't smoke, I wear sunscreen, and drink at least 12 glasses of water a day. Simple things like that will help keep your face from looking like hers does. I'm also 30 years old. I'm not "blessed" either. My mom and grandma are smokers and I didn't want to look like them.

She is working 16 hour days...she has no make up..its a long distance paparazzi shot and she is looking tired and a bit bedraggled. However, having seen her without makeup several times on the set of that movie without makeup where I have spent some time as an extra - I can assure you she is definitely a beauty. Those are just her equivalent of a passport photo.

She and Ellen Pompeo got lucky to be cast in a show that became a hit and they act like they are the greatest, most important people, best actresses ever. The smoking stories are true. No matter how great your face looks, smoking will give a serious dried out, chalky appearance like this.

Classic example: Sarah Jessica Parker. No, I'm not comparing the two beauty-wise (SJP always looks like a gargoyle) but on Sex and the City, her appearance changed drastically once she quit smoking; her face had more color and she looked healthier.

Still think they're both overrated, though.

her skin doesn't glow...she doesn't look healthy...she looks terrible. She is pale and her teeth are jacked up...to say the least. Smoking makes her less attractive and it makes her skin age more. She looks grumpy and thoroughly an unattractive person to approach in the slightest. she wasn't even funny in knocked up. If it weren't for paul rudd...I might've walked out. It's 5:43 in the morning...I just rolled out of bed not too long ago...no makeup, no shower yet, 28 years old...

And I STILL look better than that.

This is not "average woman". This is unattractive. People in Hollywood are supposed to be prettier than average, a bit more talented, fun to look up to.

In the last couple of years, it's like they're uglier and less talented than the norm. Do you think tastes in this country have changed so much, that we now enjoy looking down on our "idols" more than looking up to them?

I wonder what I'd look like with Hollywood makeup and hairstyling and photoshop. Shit, probably any of us would be blindingly beautiful, if THIS is their raw material...
