There hasn't been enough time or cases to study if it's bad for an infant to be fed breast milk from breasts with implants. MOST Pediatricians worthy of their med licenses suggest to NOT do it. If you don't know whether or not it will harm the baby, then don't do it! You should have waited to get tits until after you had kids you dumb hobags.

BTW, the implants are made of silicone with saline to fill. There are many different types and brands. In 1943 Harvard studied the effects of silicone in mice, with cancer being the overwhelming result and conclusion. I do not believe silicone is neutral or static within the human body. Silicone is a carcinogen to mammals.

I looked it up when someone close to me had hers rupture, and she has systemic lupus. Sued DOW, the manufacturer and won. You can't trust pharm companies and those who profit from it. Period. If there's any question in your mind about your baby's safety, then DON'T. I'm a child of DES, and they SWORE to MY mother it was safe. Now I'm sick and disabled because of it. Sorry, had to pipe in here because if I were an expectant mother with implants, I WOULD NOT breastfeed. The pharm. companies are LIARS, have been sued, went into bankruptcy, then put the things back on the market in a slightly different guise. You want to be vain? Fine. Just don't risk your baby's health and well being potentially.

Last; I severed a twenty year friendship because my "friend" aka the best mother in the world according to her was actually being a selfish bitch when it came to her child. She did what was in HER best interest, then defended her actions as being in her child's best interest. Sorry, but new moms tend to be selfish, self centered, and frequently do things counterproductive to their child's best interest. God forbid you tell them differently. If you're too selfish to wait until after you have kids to get breast implants then you're too selfish to be a mother. There are a lot of cases of kids spending their whole lives sick either because the mom didn't breast feed or the mom breast fed with implants. Companies that make billions off of baby formula and companies that make multi billions off of breast implants always settle before anyone hears about those cases though. Too many selfish and insecure women today. It's very sad, and I feel the most sad for their children.

I personally had mine done after my child, because breastfeeding really messed my tits up. But I DO plan on having more children and will take the necessary precautions and research with my pediatrician the best way to breastfeed. Because if your head wasn't so far up your ass, practically every doctor has convened that breastfeeding with perimuscular(behind the muscle) implants is safe.

Any OB GYN and pediatrician will tell you it's best for you and the baby to breast feed. It's shrinks your uterus faster, has been linked to preventing breast cancer and uterine cancer, and there is a laundry list of benefits for the baby, including no allergies, no respiratory problems, and no obesity. As far as breast implants are concerned, my plastic surgeon told me he would never recommend breast feeding with implants (he's Mormon with 8 kids), and he told me to come back when I was done having babies. So I did :-D I'm glad I waited.

Corrina, I agree with you on what you said about any part of the silicone shell getting into breastmilk being stupid, but as far as formula feeding goes, they usually say that as long as the baby gets the colostrum in the first few days, then that is sufficient to ward off illness and boost the immune system. But few women can nurse their babies indefinitely for ALOT of reasons and that doesn't mean that they should feel bad about feeding their babies formula. So unless YOU are the expert on breastfeeding, or have even breastfed at all, you should probably shut up.
