1. Yeah, he didn't know it was wrong. Thats why he painted the buildings where the fights were held black, and built them way back in the woods so you couldnt see them at night. No, he thought it was OK. You're right, Jamie, its a race thing. If Peyton Manning drowned dogs because they couldn't fight well enough for his enjoyment there wouldn't be a word about it.

3. Seriously, what a fucking loser. You gotta know somebody that ugly must not have anything going on upstairs. Talk about beat with an ugly stick, more like run over by a big damn fugly truck.

4. Eva Longoria is ugly. She has a plain face and is too skinny with bad teeth.

5. vick had to know it was wrong. it's not like he lives in the ghetto, hes a fucking millionaire and he tried to keep it in secrecy.

he'll probably just get like 6 months in prison anyway. its well deserved.

By prettyboy, on August 24, 2007 11:15:48

6. I hope smart black people take offense to Jamie Foxx speaking for them. Not you, "prettyboy", you're not black.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 11:22:18

7. YO, Das right! Preach on, brotha! IT'S A RACE THING!! Why must the government come down on my brothers like this?! Dog fighting is ingrainified into our culture. Before the slave ships took us away from our great civilization, we used to watch hyenas fighting each other, and we would wager neck rings and spearheads on our favorite hyenas.

This is a conspiracization! We must unitify, and stand together against this travestation!

Why do the Indians get casinos, but the BROTHAS, who have been persecutized for generations, can't even watch a couple of mutts playing?! Huh? Why dat? Why Dat?!!!

9. Blah blah blah...It's always everybody else's fault.

By J-Bird, on August 24, 2007 11:26:55

10. Riiight. So if Vick gets sent down and the guards turn the other way while someone shoves a broom handle up his ass, can we say it's not the guards' fault? Even if they shove it up his ass sideways?

I mean, prisoners get into fights all the time...it's just in their nature.

By Vigilante, on August 24, 2007 11:37:24

11. This basically insults black people. Had a white person said these comments (that Jamie said) he or she would be called racist. He is basically saying that black people are too stupid to know that killing dogs in horrible ways is wrong. What a fucking idiot. He may just be proving his own point there, cuz he sounds pretty fucking stupid, and he is black...

Freaking hilarious.

13. I must agree with "anonymous". What Jamie Foxx said DOES insult black people.

Hell, it insults the whole human race!

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 11:52:56

14. I agree some with Jamie. Dog fighting is wrong, but lets be real, it goes on a lot. Its only a big deal w/ Vick because he is a celeb.

All this while Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie get slaps on wrists for their crimes.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 11:53:51

15. Jamie Foxx lives his day to day life with his foot in his mouth, so his moronic opinion doesn't surprise me in the least.

So how does Jamie explain the 'breeding tables' ???

Is strapping a female to a board and breeding her against her will a part of Black culture too??

Excuse my ignorance, I'm unapologetically White**

Exactly, you fucking moron! He's a millionaire and an NFL quarterback, so he should know better.

19. Woof! Woof!

That was for Eva.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 12:12:01

20. You all are missing the point. Jamie Foxx did not say that it was cool to fight dogs here. His point here is that not many people understand that Dog Fighting is a federal offense. Even me... I didn't realize that dog fighting fell under federal jurisdiction. I always assumed that it was a state thing.

I agree with Jamie here, I think Vick knew it was wrong... but not Federal PMITA Prison wrong.

By Williams, on August 24, 2007 12:40:38

21. I think he meant it exactly how he said it. He said dogfighting is a black cultural thing, and since Vick is black, Vick didn't know he was breaking the law, and it's fucking bullshit because Vick was very secretive about it and even blacked out the windows so people wouldn't see what he was doing. Vick is a pig and deserves to go to prison, and if Jamie Foxx doesn't like it, then he can go with him. Good riddance.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 12:43:28

22. They can throw away the key for all I care. I've always hated Michael Vick. Stupid ghetto cornrow dirtbag should never have been an NFL quarterback.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 12:46:04

23. The thing is, its not just Vick.

In the words of Dave Chappelle, "why don't you click your heals together three times, and go back to Africa".

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 12:47:21

24. He didn't know it was wrong to torture domestic animals (i.e. trained to trust humans)?

Him and his brother both belong in a cage.

By J-Bird, on August 24, 2007 12:56:10

25. I believe it is a cultural thing. Like the rural Mexicans are all about the cock fighting. I had a friend who's father bribed border officials so he could smuggle cocks into America, then in the process they ended up all suffocating. They are ignorant, they don't understand why we have our laws, and they think that they are above them.

28. Jamie Foxx is a loser.

How anyone can defend Vick's actions is beyond me.

He needs to understand it is not a racial issue, but a moral & ethical issue. It is a FELONY to fight dogs in 48 states and illegal in all 50 states.

You don't always have to defend everyone in your race -- Sometimes people ARE guilty and it is OK to say so!

If Tom Brady or Brett Favre did this, it would be just as wrong and just as disgusting.

Hope Vick saved some of that money he made earlier in the NFL because his playing days are most likely over.

Like the Comissioner says "It is a privilege to play in the NFL, not a right."

I guess some people have to learn the hard way.....

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 13:16:55

29. prettyboy, the white side of you is the only smart one, so you should claim it so you don't sound so dumb anymore.

By the way, you are the gayest fag ever. I can't believe you wrote that last comment. Take it to a gay forum somewhere before you make everyone sick.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 13:17:43

30. prettyboy is as usual just trying to stir it up and cause controversy, so he can be ignored for now.

Let's face it: the acceptance of cruelty to animals and humans is not a BLACK thing, it is a SADISTIC characteristic that only sick, stupid, pathetic people would call "entertainment".

Hopefully there is a special place in hell reserved for anyone who thinks it is OK to torture and kill animals for sport.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 13:24:10

31. If I have to read about one more person being blamed for something because of race I'm going to scream. This "man" is a low-life, animal-murdering ASSHOLE. I don't give a shit what color your ugly ass face is.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 13:31:58

32. Well not only is there dog fighting all over the USA, there is cock fighting, bullfighting globally. In addition, there are humans fighting humans and that is okay. Some humans have died from fights and they did not have to go to jail. Animals are being legally slaughtered all over America so most of you can eat. Human Rights vs. Animal Rights, go figure!!! And as far as all this goes where was the PETA people when the black people were being hung and burned with a fork up their butts. Where was PETA when black people were considered less then whole (Dred Scott decision). I have 3 degrees and agree with Jamie Foxx. I think more African Americans should take offense to dogs being treated better than they were. Hurray for Jamie Foxx!!!

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 13:40:43

33. Michael Vick knew it was wrong, he is just an ignorant low life. Why can't black people just accept that instead of making excuses. They should be embarrassed that he represents them. Just like I am of Eva Longoria, or Jessica Alba. Not Salma Hayek though, I love her.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 13:47:10

34. Black people can't accept the fact that their fore fathers and mothers were beat, hung, burned, raped, murdered, berated, separated from each other and tortured and NO ONE came to their rescue. It was the GRACE of GOD that we exist today. We can not be compared to dogs.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 13:55:57

35. I am quite disturbed by the emphasis placed on the consequences of Vick's illegal acts and how those consequences are supposed to somehow figure into Michael Vick's knowledge of the illegality of his actions. It doesn't matter if dog fighting is a federal offense or not and whether or not Vick knew that his actions would be considered a federal offense, is also irrelevant. Williams: in your earlier comment, you conceded that Vick knew what he was doing was wrong. That's all that's necessary. The dialogue should stop there...he knew it was wrong and I don't care where you're from or who raised you, but it's common knowledge that doing something wrong warrants punishment…punishment of severity directly proportionate to the wrongful act.

Furthermore, many Vick supporters have made arguments that imply Vick's dog-fighting business was small. It wasn't like he was involved in one dog-fighting incident at somebody else's house. He financed an entire BUSINESS and killed dogs himself in disgusting ways and profited from the cruel treatment of dogs. I'm a white woman and I guarantee if I start going around and punching people's dogs in the face--not causing fatal injuries--; I'll get thrown in jail. It is not a race thing. I think it is sad that many black people are seemingly supporting Vick because they feel an obligation to do so…not because they think his actions were acceptable.

It's not about race...it's about what he did. It's also not about fame. Where I grew up, a white couple fought dogs in their apartment once (that was reported anyway) and they are both in jail. If you don't want something to be about race, don't make it about race. If you look at the facts objectively, Michael Vick at the very least was aware that he was committing immoral acts on a large scale. It should not surprise him that the punishment is also large/substantial.

36. 13:40:43 - You are proof that all the degrees in the world can't make you smart. What a moron.

Bringing the whole meat eating thing into it, I knew some fucking idiot was going to do that. Apples and oranges.

And, yeah, let's bring up shit from 300 years ago, that stuff is really relevant here.

"Wah wah wah...my ancestors were treated like crap therefore I get a free pass in life."...go die in a fire. Use your degrees as kindling.

39. 13:02, I know just what you mean. I've had a cock or two suffocate in my trunk recently. Forgot about one cock. Dayum, didn't he stink when I remembered him a couple of days later!

Oooohhhh. You were talking about birds?

Yeeeaaaaahhhh....so was I.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 14:03:21

41. 13:55, nobody is comparing blacks to dogs. Why the fuck is it all about race? Just, shut up. Honestly.

By your logic, the Indians should be able to break every law in America, because they were treated worse than the blacks were.

By J-Bird, on August 24, 2007 14:04:30

42. I somewhat agree with Jamie that sometimes things are cultural and one might not be aware that its wrong. Didn't follow the Vick case but I also agree that a lot of people value animal life over human life.

I like Jamie, he's a good actor and funny guy. We've all said unfounded things, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 14:26:56

Thanks for the info Jamie. I'll be sure to quote you on that in the future.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 14:36:32

45. Michael Vick should get a prison sentence, charged severely and unable to play for the NFL.. That's unhumane, cruel... etc etc.. End of story, if he killed a dog, he should be killed. Someone execute him like he did the dogs.
Good god

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 14:37:11

46. @ anon 13:02:29

You're comparing Vick to border hoping Mexicans? I'm thinking there is a big difference here... Vick was born in the United States, and grew up on our laws. So no, he does understand that we have those here. He also went to Virginia Tech, so I highly doubt its an ignorant thing. He has been educated, he knew what he was doing was wrong. Its not like he's some broke @$$ who has lived in the back country all his life. He's a multi millionaire! And I'm sure like all other celebs he has PR people telling him what is right and wrong. He choose to do what was wrong. He knew it was wrong! Maybe not a federal offense, but he knew it was wrong. Hell, where I live its a crime just to tie your dog up outside, so killing a dog.. let along hundreds of dogs, would be a HUGE offense. You don't need to do much research to know that. Just turn on the news every now and then.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 14:48:04

47. So if you commit a felony but don't know it is a felony, you should be able to walk? I don't think so. Ignorance of the law does not excuse you from your responsibility.

Also, Vick is a sorry excuse for a human being for fighting, abusing and executing those dogs. He's an asshole and I hope the court makes an example out of him.

Someone aboved remarked they hope he saved his money. I don't, I hope he spent it poorly and finds himself too broke to pay a proper attorney. Let him rot in jail.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 14:53:53

48. So Jamie Foxx is telling us that black men or either stupid or lacking a moral compass? Glad he wasn't around in the 1960s to undermine the Civil Rights movement with talk like that.

By Canucklehead, on August 24, 2007 15:02:47

49. so, 12:40, what you're saying is that when something carries a possible federal penalty, people will not commit that act, but if it's merely a state penalty, then have at it? why even have state laws at all if they are so useless as deterrents?

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 15:06:28

50. we could forget about what happened 300 yrs ago if wasn't still happening in this day and age. Look up Jena, Louisiana and then say some smart shit. jus cuz ParisBritLindsay take up the news doesn't mean lynching exists.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 15:20:13

51. Thank God Vick has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

Hopefully they have the stomach to keep him out forever.

He lied repeatedly about being involved and then rolled over like a little bitch (no pun intended) when he knew the gig was up.

People like him should not be given a second chance. He is obviously not remorseful -- Only sorry that he finally got caught.

Go get a job at Best Buy or Burger King or KFC -- That's your second chance, not the NFL. You blew that a long time ago (Ron Mexico, airport water bottle, stolen Rolex, etc...).

Hopefully he will be treated accordingly in prison -- Raped and beat and tortured like he did to those defenseless dogs.

Enjoy the pen -- Asshole!

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 15:36:12

52. HA! this is the funniest story i've read for the day. Black people are so dumb they admit it!

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 16:32:29

53. And as far as all this goes where was the PETA people when the black people were being hung and burned with a fork up their butts.

Umm PETA didn't exist then, and there was cruelty to animals then too. I can't believe you are comparing the two things, moron.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 16:36:07

54. Jamie Foxx.....

Know your role and Shut your mouth.

No one wants your opinion on anything.

Go do your job -- acting or singing or whatever -- and shut your hole!

"but sometimes people shoot people and kill people and don't get time" -- Does that make it right, asshole?

"I always give him the benefit of the doubt." -- Even if he raped your mom or sister?

These people who blindly stick up for their race are so pathetic and ignorant it is almost funny -- If it wasn't so appalling!

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 16:40:47

55. Anyone that hurts an animal..(that is not trying to kill you) is a coward and a SICK FUCK!!!
If anyone is unsure about the horrors of hurting dogs watch the HBO documentary Dealing Dogs. (Sick!).

56. "I have three degrees and agree with Jamie Foxx"

riiiiiight

Oh wait! You must mean your community college degrees in English As A Second Language, auto repair, and plumbing.

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 17:01:00

57. It's not a race "thing" at all. It has to do with CRUELTY and please don't bring up black slaves. Irish indentured servants, Native Americans, and the slavery that continues to this day in Africa, Asia, even America is atrocious and unacceptable. Skin color has no factor in this. Cruelty and slavery crosses all cultures and is not acceptable anywhere. This includes cruelty to animals. I'm a graduate of Va Tech and have watched Vick play ball for years. This has turned me totally against him, as it would if I found out Peyton Manning (who's career I've also followed) were doing the same thing.

By JeannieBell, on August 24, 2007 17:05:10

59. Get a grip. Black folk don't "repair" autos, unless if by "repair" you mean cracking the column or stealing the rims and sound system.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Relax dude. I never said anything about black people, I was talking about the poster. How many black folks do you know who take ESL classes?

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 17:13:42

60. ^^^^^
Have you ever heard black folk speak? Ever heard of Ebonics? They should ALL be taking ESL classes.

And I just assumed that nobody of any race other than black would defend Foxx or Vick.

By Generalization McStereotype, on August 24, 2007 17:19:11

61. Okay #1: it doesn't matter whether or not he knew he was breaking the law. It doesn't matter if he knew it was wrong. If you break the law it doesn't make any difference at all whether or not you knew you were breaking the law. (I once got a ticket for going the wrong way around a traffic circle; the fact that I didn't know it was the wrong was totally irrelevant. As was the fact that I am totally white.)

And #2: PETA as an organization didn't EXIST during the Dred Scott case. How anyone with 3 degrees can possibly not know this is incomprehenisble. Furthermore PETA's entire existence is based on protecting ANIMALS. Whether or not any likes or doesn't like PETA they are not a human rights organization nor are they a civil rights organization and again anyone with 3 degrees should certainly know that.

#3: The laws regarding animal cruelty and animal fighting in other countries have absolutely no relevance to the laws in this country. Different countries have different laws. You don't get to pick and choose laws and apply them to other countries.

What the hell are those degrees in? Did they come from the back of a magazine? Maybe an internet degree? Any chance your alma mater was spelled "Kollege"?

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 18:07:08

By anonymous, on August 24, 2007 18:15:04

63. this guy is crazy, why do celebrities insist on embarrassing themselves and everyone who knows them. I think that the FBI should start investigating Mr. Foxx and find out exactly why he would defend Vick. and for the person who said that Lindsey, Paris and Richie got slapped on the wrist. If he would have been caught drinking while driving he would have gotten a slap too. If Lohan or the rest of the pack would have killed someone in a vicious homicide I guarantee you they would be in prison for the rest of their lives.

65. What I don't get is Judy Giuliani, current and 3rd wife of presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, used to go around selling medical staples. She would incise the dogs and put in the staples to pimp her products. Then the dogs were "destroyed". So here she is doing unnecessary surgery on dogs for fun and profit and I haven't heard much about what a sicko she is.

By flounder, on August 24, 2007 19:44:59

68. If black people really want to erase the color barrier then quit using "the black thing" whenever it suits you to explain away antisocial, heinous behavior. Why is what Vick did disgusting and appalling except for him because he's black? The NAACP and prominent blacks are doing themselves, their culture, and everyone else a disservice in not condemning this and demanding that he pay the price.

Grow up and take responsibility. If you really desire equality (no question that it should never be anything less) then start thinking like the rest of civilized society and recognize antisocial, criminal behavior for what it is. Don't excuse it because "a brotha" did it "cause he don't know no betta."
The rest of society needs to believe that black Americans are just Americans. Apparently black Americans need to believe that, too.

If blacks like Foxx, Sanders and Marbury are too ignorant, iliterate, and uneducated to make sensible comments they need to keep their mouths shut. All they do is dig their own graves and further enforce the fact that the black man has not advanced at all, then defend them for it. It sickens me how the blacks have to point out the Vick was black just because that is all they see. Black. They do not see cruelty, dishonesty, cowardice and arrogance. I have always hated Foxx and now I know why.

By Susanne, on August 25, 2007 07:14:12

73. If statements like "this" send black people back 300 hundred years ...one can only wonder how far white's themselves have progressed from the anals of thier all to cruel and unusual racist past judging from the statements posted above...but, wait a minute....hasn't it only been some 40 years since being "uncivil" to all manner of fellow human beings has been "tabboo" in caucasian circles...WOW....imagine where we would all be today if we hadn't had busy-body
hypocritical self-rightous "white-folk" globe-rotting the world over to teach the rest of us
the meaning of civility....white-man's burden indeed....;)

74. my asshole itches

By prettyboy, on August 25, 2007 10:00:52

75. Hey Jamie Foxx - you're an asshole. Besides, how fucking stupid can Vick be? If he loved dog fighting so much, he could have built his very own league in some third world country where it is legal.

By anonymous, on August 25, 2007 10:02:31

76. My favorite movie of Foxx's was "Stealth" because he died about 1/3 of the way through it.

By anonymous, on August 25, 2007 10:26:11

77. I'll be honest. I don't follow sports at all, but I heard about Michael Vick and the dog-fighting charges. At first, I thought he was white because I had never seen a picture of him so assumed he was white. I was just as outraged and disgusted to think a white guy had financed dog-fighting. When I finally saw a picture of him and realized he was black, it didn't change my opinion at all. I think most people's attitudes are, "WTF? The dude had a multi-million dollar contract ($130mill??) and destroyed it for the sake of a few hundred thousand $ in dog-fight betting. What..a..moron."

By anonymous, on August 25, 2007 11:15:59

78. 22:38, what country is that, because I hope we bomb the shit out of it. Seriously, we shouldn't allow people like that to exist. Nuke 'em.

By anonymous, on August 25, 2007 11:22:16

79. What annoys me most about this entire situation is how it has turned into a race thing.

Micheal Vick is a guy who fought dogs, killed them and tortured them presumably for fun or profit or both. If you just saw that sentence you would think that person was a sick human being who needed to be in jail.

Add that he's an NFL player and a black guy and suddenly there is a big discussion about it. What's wrong is wrong, period. He needs to be in jail.

Comparing his actions to what Paris/Nicole/Lindsay did is stupid. They didn't kill anything living, other than their own brain cells, so it is completely incomparable.

Jamie Foxx and the NAACP need to shut the fuck up. They are embarrassing black people like myself and making it seem like all black people excuse other black people's ignorance.

Micheal Vick is a horrible human being who knew what he was doing; he knew it was wrong and wrong should be enough to not do something.

By Alicia, on August 25, 2007 11:29:01

80. The young female celebs who keep driving drunk are risking human lives, yet they only get a slap on the wrist. Athletes are arrested all the time for domestic violence, yet there is very little outrage. I love dogs and there is no excuse for what Vick did, but if you're more outraged about that than about domestic violence and drunk driving, I think it's time to reevaluate your priorities.

By anonymous, on August 25, 2007 13:33:36

81. Yeah, it's a "black thing"..and slavery was a "white thing" and that makes it right. Gimme a break. How dare Foxx pin this on race?!? Is that a 'get out of jail free' card now??? I agree with the commentors above, Michael Vick should be treated just like he treated those dogs...and I hope some big guy in prison does just that....that man is scum.

By Lola Lola, on August 25, 2007 15:16:35

82. How long until Jamie Foxx comes to rapper DMX`s defence??....geez

By joejoe, on August 25, 2007 15:20:34

83. I can't stand Jamie foxx and his ignorant remarks. He sounds so freakin stupid. I hope he never owns a dog or any animal with that stupid comment.

By loveadrian, on August 25, 2007 16:14:38

84. You know, this is the problem with the US... prople can do just about ANYTHING and as long as they come up with an excuse, they NEVER have to admit responsibility. My daddy was mean to me. I grew up in the ghetto. I'm black. My mommy was an alcoholic. WHO CARES?? If you break the law, you deserve a punishment. America doesn't need to worry about another country... we are going to self-destruct due to ignorance and political correctness.
By the way, where's the Rev. Al on this one? If any white person said this, he'd have a news conference and suggest a boycott.

By anonymous, on August 25, 2007 16:29:43

85. 13:33:36
Risking lives: yes. That is a shitty thing to do. But they haven't taken a life, at least not yet. To prosecute for that you have to be able to show intent and malice.
Vick has already actually committed his crimes, repeatedly and for years.
And who says people aren't outraged about domestic violence and drunk driving? Why are people making such a fuss about sympathy for animals when it has nothing to do with sympathy for people? The two things aren't mutually exclusive. I for one have enough riteous indignation and outrage to go around.

By anonymous, on August 25, 2007 17:38:11

86. That's what's so wrong with the NAACP these days. I doesn't make a fuck if you're guilty or not, if you've black, they're gonna support you.

They say: "It's real clear that Mr. Vick himself would acknowledge that he has made a mistake, there is reason to believe in his redemption.""As a society, we should aid in his rehabilitation and welcome a new Michael Vick back into the community without a permanent loss of his career in football,"

Meanwhile, after Don Imus make racial remarks, the NAACP jumped on him, and said he should never work in broadcasting again. Vick does something illegal, immoral, and unethical, killing and torturing other creatures, but since he's black, the NAACP is going to support him. They really need to get their fucking heads out of their asses there!

By justin, on August 25, 2007 18:08:29

87. Amen to above statement.

By anonymous, on August 25, 2007 19:13:37

88. I don't think people are any more outraged about it, it's just that this is the news for today. If this was about some guy beating his wife, they'd be outraged about that too. People like to be outraged for whatever reason

By Alicia, on August 25, 2007 20:51:11

89. Jamie Foxx should shut the fuck up and douche his vagina.

By anonymous, on August 26, 2007 03:49:38

90. Professional athletes are convicted or enter guilty pleas for domestic violence all the time. They don't suspended "indefinitely" for that.

Again, like someone said above, the punishment for hurting/killing a few worthless animals is heavier than the punishment for harming a human being. It's bullshit.

Also, you don't have to show intent or malice to prosecute for either DUI or domestic violence (battery). [well, actually you do have to prove some intent, but it only has to be intent to perform the action that led to the crime, i.e. intent to swing a fist. Showing intent to hit a person is not necessary to convict on battery. DUI on the other hand is a strict liability offense, i.e. you don't have to show ANY intent or malice, just prove that the action occurred.] The person above that said you have to show either doesn't have a clue what they're talking about.

Now if you'll excuse me, I see a dog wandering around my neighborhood just asking to be punted;)

By Captain Pooch Punter, on August 26, 2007 11:32:21

91. Hey, where's the outrage at Dane Cook? That insensitive prick said "Fuck bees! I'll punch a bee in the fucking face!"

Are we as Americans going to let him get away with advocating such violence against these innocent creatures?

I swear, it just gets me mad enough to kick a dog in its nuts...

By Captain Pooch Punter, on August 26, 2007 11:38:47

By anonymous, on August 26, 2007 21:22:38

96. You brought the blacks over to America, now you're paying the price. They could watch OJ beheading people or Vick torturing dogs on live tv and they would STILL think they are being railroaded by the man.

By anonymous, on August 26, 2007 21:36:00

That usually makes ME feel better when I'm down.

By Captain Pooch Punter, on August 26, 2007 23:47:05

99. Jaime Foxx is an asshole for saying this. Dog fighting is not a Black cultural thing. It is an immoral thing. A crime against nature. Many Black people ,White people, etc. do not support this crime. Jaime Foxx has just insulted Black people. What he said wa seven raciist. Why is that when anybody Black does something bad, all the Black celebs raly around in unity as to show support up against the "White Man." You cannot have it both ways. Black people are their worst enemy.

By BS!, on August 27, 2007 03:49:30

100. "Professional athletes are convicted or enter guilty pleas for domestic violence all the time. They don't suspended "indefinitely" for that."

Isn't it sad that beating the crap out of a wife or girlfriend isn't enough to get a man banned from playing a stupid fucking game for life?

"Again, like someone said above, the punishment for hurting/killing a few worthless animals is heavier than the punishment for harming a human being. It's bullshit."

That is completely false. I'm a vet.tech and I used to work with a vet. who worked for the Animal Protection League. Our practice did a lot of local cruely case work and that vet in particular travelled to testify as an expert witness in cases across the country. Working with those people was a depressing eye-opener on the legal system and animal cruelty. The legal punishment for animal abuse is quite often a slap on the wrist. Vick's probably going to get fines. Even with as many dogs as he abused and murdered, with his plea deal and the way the system views animals as property and not sentient beings with rights, he will more than likely not do any jail time and not have any fines he can not afford. With the money he has made playing football, he will walk, pay some fines, and that will be it, I suspect. I think that is the bullshit here.

By anonymous, on August 27, 2007 06:01:43

101. He may lose his endorsement and football contracts because no one wants to be associated with a violent asshole exhibiting behaviors that precede serial killings: maiming and killing animals. No business person in their right mind would want to associate with Vick.
He is expendable. He isn't curing cancer or exploring theoretical astrophysics. He's playing a game and there are thousands of young athletes to take his place.
Vick is not just a violent criminal, he is stupid to risk millions of dollars on an illegal hobby that made him comparatively little money (thousands--allegedly). This is the same asshat that got busted when he carried marijuana through a Miami airport in a water bottle when water bottles are not allowed on airplanes either. Genius!! He can more than afford to buy more pot, but instead, he chose to try to smuggle a small quantity of it. From Miami, one of the drug capitals of the world where authorities are extra vigilant.

"Also, you don't have to show intent or malice to prosecute for either DUI or domestic violence (battery)."

That is correct if the injury/harm has already occurred. Someone above mentioned Paris & Co. risking lives with the DUI, but there was no injury. There is no reason to think injury was a goal, so there is no intent, just drunken, irresponsible stupidity.

By anonymous, on August 27, 2007 09:32:11

102. Apparently, white narcisim hasn't abated much through-out the centuries......take care of your own national embarassments will ya... and as far as sociopathy goes...from what I can tell, serial corperate bullies and better yet most serial killers oft come in a certian white hue....

Look, no-one is saying what Vick did was remotely in the vecinity of right....however, Jamie Fox was only illuminating the fact that there is and has always been disparities within the American justice system in regards to how it responds to perpertrators of given crimes specifically on the bases of race ...especially if it is a matter with which white people have decidely alighned themselves with or are otherwise involved in one fashion or another....this is a fact people...cope with it...and then you might be able to see clearly what Fox was trying to convey...

By anonymous, on August 27, 2007 10:53:32

103. ^ You sound like Damon Wayans in In Living Color behind bars and trying to sound smart, but only managing to use a lot of words to prove how dumb you are. It's not that WE don't get it, it's that YOU don't get it.

By anonymous, on August 27, 2007 10:56:33

104. Go to this link and then come back and tell me you aren't upset by dogfighting. Tell me that I am pissed at michael vick because he's black. No I'm pissed at michael vick because in my opinion he has no soul, no heart and no conscience. I hope he uses his 12-18 months (yea right, more like 2 months) to think about his purpose here on earth and how miserably he's failed to do something constructive with his life.

I think you should try sticking to "yo". You might be able to spell that.

Went to the sight, still not all that upset by dogfighting.

I did agree with the bulletpoint asking us to be pissed about the criminal category this past-time is placed in in some states.

I think everyone who lives in the states where it is a misdemeanor should write their legislators and ask that it be made an ordinance violation. Hell, might as well have people in all the states do it.

I can't believe people want to tell these property owners what they can do with their own property.

Next thing you know, people are gonna start saying you can't use turtles as doorstops, cats as mops, or mice as baseballs.

The insanity!

Damn, I hope people still take me seriously...

By Captain Pooch Punter, on August 27, 2007 13:09:58

111. Not that I had a whole lot of respect for Jamie Foxx, but I have zero now.

If Vick didn't know it was wrong, why hide it for 5 years? Why deny it when it is first brought out into the open? If he really thought it was okay, he would have admitted to it.

His apology today is bullshit. He was "immature"??? FUCK ME. Try EVIL. He's only sorry because he got caught.

Let's see, if a white player was caught, would Jamie Foxx be so supportive. I fucking doubt it.

By anonymous, on August 27, 2007 13:22:57

112. Let's just assume that dog fighting WAS legal--
it is still really freakin' stupid.

When a town pays you $75-million a year to play football, you should go home and watch the competition's game tapes every night instead of hangin' with P-Funk and Q-Tip from "back in the day."

By Zen Wizard, on August 27, 2007 14:46:30

113. "Let's face it: the acceptance of cruelty to animals and humans is not a BLACK thing, it is a SADISTIC characteristic that only sick, stupid, pathetic people would call "entertainment".

Hopefully there is a special place in hell reserved for anyone who thinks it is OK to torture and kill animals for sport"

I agree...that IS the definitive bottom line.
Race had nothing to do with it. IT IS WRONG!!

And to "Captain Pooch Punter"...aka "Mr. Teeny Weeny Dick", I'd like to start my own 'Kick Captain Pooch Punter' club soon. Same scoring system as yours, bet MINE will be more popular! :)

P.S. Prettyboy, do you really think we are all so stupid as to believe YOU have a groupie?? HA!!

By anonymous, on August 27, 2007 17:07:28

By anonymous, on August 27, 2007 18:08:48

115. Someone always has to throw in the race card and now, sadly, Jamie Foxx has thrown in the ignorant card and stupidity card as well.

By anonymous, on August 27, 2007 18:46:15

116. I think 18:08:48, that would be like putting a pedophile in charge of a daycare. Maybe he should do that but only be allowed to clean up the poop in the play area after all the dogs done shitting in it.

By Ryan Thompson, on September 4, 2007 15:25:12

122. I am a fan of jamie foxx's and a black person but i can honestly say that i don't support him here.this should not be about race but rather about the stupidity of vick's actions. He screwed up and we should admit when our brothas and sistas do that. No one is perfect and no one should claim they are.

It is true that sometimes, people take animal rights more seriously than human rights, but this is not the case here. this is a case of breaking the law and being inhumane so lets know that.

And to digress, for the person who commented that past sufferings don't matter,or in his words "wah wah wah" tell that to the jews that were killed in gas chambers or their families, the slaves that were thrown out of slave ships alive in the middle of the ocean, some of them if not all still bound, the native americans who were killed so that this country you are so proud of can be...tell that to them. it doesn't relate to this situation but it is important to let people know that what they say affect other show some respect for the dead and their families already.
