I think the woman said what we all want to say to Britney. Plus she is setting a terrible example for young girls, so the mother was perfectly justified. I think the mother was mortified that the girl was impressed by Britney, and her words to Britney were not unexpected. Britney is seeking out attention, so she shouldn't be too upset when the reaction she gets is negative.

I think if the mother had merely taken her daughter's hand and led her away by saying, "There are a lot more suitable women to look up to darling, then this woman and her problems" it would have been better. It would have also gotten the point across to witless Britney that a lot of people really see her for what she is.

OK, I seriously hope some of you people commenting on this page do not have children of your own if you think that harrassing a stranger you do not know based on what you've read in tabloid magazines is setting a good example for your children. It is irrelevant whether she likes Britney or not, agrees with her behavior or not. There are plenty of people I see on the streets everyday whose behavior I don't agree with. There are also plenty of bad parents out there who abuse their children, etc. but are not villainized in the press every day. I say, Britney wants to self distruct so let her. She is eating up all this attention when enivitably, she will bottom out and lose all she has. Let her. She has no grasp on life and has gone over the deep end.
I know Federline may not be the best example of a parent but at this point, he really does need full custody of the boys and she needs to go ahead and self distruct. I think that is the only way she will change.
