Never in the history of marketing have a product and a celebrity been more mismatched. Angelina Jolie is exciting, mysterious, exotic and gorgeous. The clothes are matronly, bland, and just plain ugly. I could see someone like Helen Mirren or Cate Blanchet as their spokeswhore, but AJ was just never convincing.
I didn't think they made a good fit, the clothes are indeed boring and Angelina is not. She'd be a good model for some line that is less buttoned-down in style.
Gorgeous she is NOT -- at least anymore. I cannot believe how completely awful she looks now. She used to be one of the only women I thought was truly beautiful. Now I can barely even stand to look at her.

Furthermore, when Angie signed with St. Johns in 2005 they were a company in turmoil, they were running in the red and the founders' daughter even bailed on the company. In early 2007 St. Johns announced they had turned a profit of over $400 MILLION. If women didn't identify with Jolie as their spokesmodel...then who the hell suddenly bought enough of their clothes that they were able to make a huge-ass $400MIL profit? The fact is - this company took off after Jolie's ads first appeared in the spring of 2006. They really need to kiss Angie's little toes and beg her to stay and continue hawking their boring duds.
The pictures are amazing no matter what the bitter, repressed, matronly women on here think. She's channeling Audrey Hepburn and some of the classic era movie stars. I agree thought she's been a little skinny lately ...
