Come on, a LOT of women have miscarriages. One miscarriage was traumatic enough that they decided to adopt instead? I don't buy that unless she delivered a stillborn or the fetus had some kind of genetic defect or some such.

Although I do feel for her, I agree with others. Thousands of us have had miscarriages and it hurts like hell but it makes you want to get pregnant again even MORE. Not go right to adoption. I respect her privacy where this is concerned but there is more to this story.
Um unless you've had a miscarriage, there is no reason for anyone to comment on how it feels or why she'd want to go straight to adoption. I have no idea what it feels like but I can imagine it's extremely traumatic. Personally, I don't think I'd want to try again in a hurry. And if I did try again I'd be scared shitless that I'd have another miscarriage.

I have had miscarriages, and I agree with the PP poster who said it makes you want to have children even more. My first ended in a m/c and I waited the obligatroy three moths as recommended by Drs. Then got Pg right away. Then I had another m/c, but we bgen trying right after and did not wait. It is a personal decision, but to consider adoption instead of trying? something does not sit right with me and her responses. I cannot wait until she is able to finally talk about everything whenever that may be.

Miscarraiges are NOT a dime a dozen, and NO ONE knows the feeling of being in a fucking wheelchair waiting to be picked up outside the hospital with NO BABY in your arms. Maybe it wasn't your 'standard' miscarriage. Maybe she suffered some medical problems that made another pregnancy a bad option for her. Maybe the trauma of it scared her away from the emotional turmoil of trying again. People respond to stron emotions like that in so many different ways.

Still find Nicole's explanation fishy; if she had a condition that made pregnancy dangerous I doubt she'd be trying to get pregnant now. Affair with Paul Bettany? I didn't know that, thought it was rumored to be Ewan McGregor or Clooney.
