  4. well she had to do something to get some pub. balling on tv for an hour straight should do it. her house is not big enough to have the dog and the cats? she could just give the dog his own wing.

  5. Ellen has a hairdresser?

By David Satuday, on October 17, 2007 08:26:20

  6. megan fox does not look good here. at all.

and i read somewhere else that mutts and moms or whatever said that ellen had signed these papers, but she never did. and they didn't follow a lot of the procedures that they usually do, and them taking the dog back from the family is kind of an asshole move. they followed the rules they felt like following.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 08:26:25

  7. Boo fucking hoo, Ellen. I'll bet the thousands of people hoping they'll make their mortgage nut next month would swap problems with you in a heartbeat.

By Ken Mehlman, on October 17, 2007 08:29:04

  8. You know, I saw a story about this on some entertainment news show, and based on her sobbing I thought she was going to say that she had lost her mother (they are very close). I don't understand why THIS would make her cry so hard, but it seems to me that she is someone who gives a shit about people and animals. I am guessing that the Mutts n Moms organization took the dog from the family after the family bonded with the dog. I have a similar contract from where I adopted my dog, but it is really a formality to protect the animal. It would also require a lot of follow up work on the part of the adoption society, so I am guessing they were all up in her business and took advantage of her celebrity. I think Ellen is a genuinely sweet person who wanted to do something nice and had it blow up in her face. Shame on Mutts n Moms for using Ellen's celebrity to do something nasty.

  9. I'm biased b/c I like Ellen. She's funny without being disgusting and isn't like all the other sycophants in Hollywood.
I agree with Mehlman about some people having is A LOT worse but I'm thinking she cried because she felt soo terrible about the situation. For the dog and for that family. I highly doubt she was crying because she wanted sympathy. I think she was simply overcome with emotion.

In Hollywood, it's nice to know there is one person left with actual emotions.

  11. Ellen who? All I see is Megan.

Agreed, she doesn't look as good here as she has... but all I have to do is remember what she CAN look like by watching Transformers and putting her in slo-mo.

That girl sitting next to her may actually be decent looking but it just sucks being a woman and standing anywhere near Megan Fox. Megan's so hot she would look ugly standing next to herself... does that make any sense?

    By Jared, on October 17, 2007 08:47:34

  12. man, i just realized that the phillies 2nd baseman, chase utley, is married to a chick that looks just like megan fox...there is a pic of her here--you have to find it on the page, but man!

  13. You know I have nothing against Ellen. I don't think she's funny but I've never seen her do anything retarded ... until now. I'm sorry, maybe I'm just not as emotional, but I can't understand why she cried so hard. It's a dog and I'm sure the organization will adopt the dog back to the family after they go through proper procedures ... end of story ...

jesus fucking christ ... she didn't need to have a damn breakdown on national t.v and act like it's the end of the world ... that's not a normal response to something so benign ... and she did look like she was trying to get sympathy when she listed all the money she'd spend on the dog ...

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 08:55:39

  14. Well the water works worked didn't it??? Dawg is going back to the kids. But damn Ellen poured it on kinda thick hate to see how she was carrying on when Anne told her she wasen't a lesbian anymore and she was leaving!!! Shit, Portia what ever you do please don't go!!

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 08:58:36

  15. I think Ellen is amazing. She has feelings and she's not afraid to show them (unlike most arrogant spineless celebrities). I've said it before and I'll say it again, whoever writes this blog, who is obviously too ashamed to show himself, is usually pretty funny, but in some cases - like this one and when you said something about God "hating" J-lo because she had to go through infertility treatment - you're just a sick asshole. Seriously. Stick to being funny, not cruel.

lame that you could find anything crappy to say about her.

  21. I agree with 8:33 & 8:58:40 - but would like to add 1) cats & dogs WILL learn to acclimate & get along with each other 2)wtf is up with this Mutt & Mom's - how much MONEY did they make off this. Meanwhile the Humane Society puts God knows how many animals to sleep each year. I don't understand those contracts. They're all BULLSHIT. This dog had a loving home. Protecting the dog? Yeah right, give me a break. Like those contracts will put an end to animal abuse or people turning around and selling the poor helpless creatures to "labs"???? I second, SHAME ON MUTTS & MOMS - I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 09:23:12

  22. I like Ellen and normally think she's pretty cool. This however was so inappropriate and such a shameless ploy to twist the arms of the organization that adopts out pets that I am just disgusted with her.

The woman has money and power. All she needed to do was drop a sizeable donation to the head of the agency along with a note that said, " I hope you'll find that Iggy's new family is a good fit after their paperwork is all in order" and left it at that. The results would have been the same.

But no, hysteria and a pity party on national TV are both much better ideas. Silly me.
Never mind that the adoption agency makes everyone agree to return the animal if it isn't a good fit to proctect the animal, not to be meanies. What the hell was she doing signing a contract without reading it anyway? A real display of stupidity all around.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 09:43:23

  23. Isn't anyone concerned about Megan Fox's adam's apple? Good Lord!

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 09:44:01

  24. Oh..I'm sure she went home and got some consolation carpet munching from her girlfriend..What a fucking drama queen!

LMAO@ the Ellen has a hairdresser? comment. The hairdresser must be blind...

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 09:47:31

  25. Well, not a fan of Ellen's - I am of her girlfriend, though, who's a babe and a half!

However, instead of crying her eyes out, she should go on the attack against that puppy place and call them a bunch of fucking retards for the rules they have. If the puppy had a good home, then who gives a shit if the kids are 11 or 12 or something. Shit, young kids love puppies. I don't know what the problem is there. Maybe those assholes want to get paid AGAIN if that other family wants to adapt it. I wonder if Ellen got a refund.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 09:52:06

  26. I think it was partially a stunt on Ellen's part, the lawyer for Mutts and Mom said how Ellen's assistant called them and threatened to put them out of business if they didn't do the right thing and give the dog back. This whole thing was stupid...I think Ellen acted like an idiot...and you idiots who say 'she's a real person with emotions'...we all have real emotions, we just don't act like WUSSEs in front of millions of people. Mutts and Moms are not going to bend to Ellen and I applaud that..she should have followed the rules.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 09:53:11

  27. Ellen's a fuckwad for weilding her fame like a club to try and bully the rescue organization into bending their rules for her and her hairdresser. She should have called them ahead of time and slipped them some more cash....cha-ching, problem solved! Everbody would have been happy, including the bawling kid. But noooo, Ellen fucked up and instead of having big enough balls to admit it, she cries like a bitch on tv to garner sympathy from all the bleeding heart housewives.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 10:03:00

  28. 9:02:57 - LMAO!

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 10:24:16

  30. What weak fucking people! What was the animal shelter going to do, break down the door and take the dog. Whoever opened the door should have told them to fuck off and then slam the door. If they knocked again, then physically throw them off their property. What pussies.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 10:45:22

  31. the stupid place where she got the mutt is fucking moronic to make her keep the dog after she "adopts" the dog she can give it to anyone she feels like it ,no one should ever "adopt" a mut from that fucked up place boycot it people , and yes MEGAN FOXX looks tasty with her sexy legs and cute ass etc etc , MEGAN FOX RULES

    By James, on October 17, 2007 10:47:44

  32. Just follow the fucking rules next time, and this won't happen...you loopy dyke, you.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 10:51:53

  33. I know I'm probably gonna be the only one who agrees with the agency on this one. The agency is there to make sure that the dog goes a stable and loving for the rest of it's life. They have no idea if the home that the dog went to after Ellen is the right home, it could have gone to someone who neglected the dog, or gave it away again. The were 100% right in taking the dog until they can verify if then new home is safe and stable.

To all of you who say it's just a dog, you should be ashamed of yourselves. A dog is a living creature, and you may not believe it, but they have feelings too. Go to the animal shelter sometime and see all the animals that have been beaten, neglected and underfed before being seized, or dropped off, and then ask yourself if an adoption agency doesn't have the right to verify that the home is safe before being adopted out. A lot of agencies require a home visit, references, etc to ensure of a safe home.

    By justn, on October 17, 2007 10:55:24

  34. This girl didn't have the dog long enough to get THAT attached. Obey the rules that you agree to and become a mature, honest human for everyone's sake! Through out my childhood, animals died, ran away and I lived. Take her out shopping and buy her a new puppy Ellen.

    By DynamiteSal, on October 17, 2007 11:10:41

  35. Next time maybe she'll just take the easy route and buy one from a puppy mill. No hassles with contracts and shit there!!

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 11:16:28

  36. She signed the papers. If Ellen doesn't want to follow the rules it's not their fault. They're trying to protect the puppy.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 11:19:04

  37. When I adopted my dog, I went through no background checks, and they most certainly didn't call me a month after-the-fact to check on me. This Mutts and Moms, or whatever the hell it's called, place is taking advantage of Ellen's celebrity and not the other way around. One of the owners heavily implies in the People.com article that it's more about Ellen's fame than the "broken rules."

And if it's true that they didn't follow all of the formalities when letting Ellen and Portia adopt the dog in the first place, they are even bigger assholes, as well as hypocrites. Locking a dog back up in a tiny cage is so much "better" for it than letting it live in a loving home.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 11:20:23

  38. Mutts and Moms Paw Boutique 523 S Raymond Avenue Pasadena, CA 91105 626.394.0946

Call or write to protest their harsh rules. You know I think 11 and 13 year olds are not "young kids." The dog should have been able to stay with that loving family.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 11:28:46

  39. Oh boo hoo. This woman needs to get grip and so do half the people commenting on here. She is manipulating your emotions, you fools.

    By Big L, on October 17, 2007 12:05:06

  40. BUY THE PEOPLE A NEW DOG YOU FUCKING MORON! PROBLEM SOLVED! YOU BROKE THE RULES, PERIOD! YOU EXPECT SPECIAL ATTENTION!! USING YOUR PROGRAM AS A TOOL, YOUR THE TOOL!

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 12:07:29

  41. The rescue organization I adopted from certainly DID call me a month later to check on my dog. There are very good reasons why they require that you not turn around and give the dog to someone else. They just checked YOU out and made sure you were a good fit for the dog, how do they know the person you are giving them to is a good fit? They don't. Then the dog just ends up right back where it started.

Ellen did admit she was wrong in that clip. But I disagree with her choice to air it out on her show. I like her, too. I just think it's unfair that the rescue organization doesn't really get to answer what she said or speak for themselves and she has a TV show to get sympathy.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 12:25:15

  42. 11:28:46 - Thank You.
To Justn and 12:25:15 - you are both wrong. They won't stop me from adopting a puppy and then turning around and selling it to a puppy lab, will they? And unless it goes reported by my neighbors, I can torture my dog and do WHATEVER I want because I own it! Good home-yeah you WANT the dog or cat to be in a good home, but there is NO WAY IN HELL to guarantee it, or prevent an animal from getting in the wrong hands, contract or not. Besides, we have TOO MANY UNWANTED ANIMALS across the country in shelters who end up being euthanized each year! So you Moms & Mutts moronic empathizers can go fuck yourselves - THEY are the ones making money off this and don't give a shit about the poor dog. Not to mention we don't know about the "conditions" at this "shelter" do we??? THEY are the ones to be investigated!

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 12:41:35

  43. Mutts and Moms (Bitches^2??) totally used this Ellen thing for free advertisement. or tried to. I mean if they make super happy-go-luck people burst into tears how happy can these dogs be?

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 12:44:28

  44. 11:20, that probably didn't happen because you chose a breeder with poor and possibly unethical practices. Responsible breeders are concerned about the homes that their animals go to and would take the time to check up on the adoptive home and to ensure that the details of the contract are being followed.
I usually like Ellen, but I think this tactic is pretty appalling. She chose to leave this little breakdown in her show- she could easily have the staff edit it out- and the fact that she left it in seems really manipulative to me. When you adopt a dog and sign a contract with the breeder, those conditions are binding. She should have known that, and I blame her for giving that family the hope that they'd have that dog coming into their home as their pet, only to have it taken away from them. Shame on her.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 12:52:12

  45. To: By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 12:41:35

Don't you think "go fuck yourselves" is a little harsh? While you are right that there's no GUARANTEE of ensuring that a puppy goes to a good home, the agency's that do reference checks and a home visit can reduce the possibility of a dog going to a bad home. Have you ever watched the show COPS? You know when they go into someone's house and the kids haven't been bathed in days, or there's trash all over the house, or whores going in and out all over the place. It's kinda hard to hide that sort of thing. You need to keep an open to mind to things, and not jump to a conclusion. If these people were only about profit they would sell the dog on the internet, and then drop it off at your door. BTW, keep the name calling out of this and use your brains rather than replusive words.

    By justin, on October 17, 2007 13:34:18

    Megan's Gorgeous!

By Starbucks Fan, on October 17, 2007 13:49:09

  48. "Mutts and Moms" is a dumbass name for a place that won't adopt out to homes with kids. Using the word "Moms" in their name makes it sound kid-friendly, and this place sure isn't. Should be called "Mutts and Moms of Teens."

    By Coco, on October 17, 2007 14:09:12

  49. What if a childless couple adopts a dog from "Mutts and Moms" and then has a baby two years later? Do they come in like Nazis and take the dog away? What is the expiration date of their ownership before the dog actually becomes YOURS??

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 14:10:57

  50. I was totally confused about all this. I thought Ellen had formed "Mutts and Moms" for people in her situation (after Portia de Rossi got pregnant).

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 14:17:04

  51. I gave up on organizations like this long ago. I was denied a German Shepherd because I answered their application truthfully- the dog would be outside and possibly alone for some periods during the day.

They honestly expected that I'd be inside with them 24 hours a day. Big Yard+Proper Fencing+No Kids+productive life = no dog for you!

I'm really not surprised these people displayed no logic whatsoever in handling this "problem".

    By CMY, on October 17, 2007 14:32:58

  52. The person who just adopted Iggy is an asshole, too -- knowingly taking that dog away from two crying girls, who could do that? I'd feel terrible doing that. I would never want a dog that belonged to someone else who loved it so much.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 15:38:46

    Dear Victor,
Thank you for visiting Petfinder.com. Petfinder.com's mission is to ensure that everyone has a positive adoption experience and all adoptable pets find a home. We are a searchable database of over 260,000 adoptable pets posted by over 11,000 animal shelters, humane societies and rescue organizations. We do not dictate policies to the various organizations, but do work hard to help them provide the best customer service possible.
While we are not familiar with the complete details of the situation between the rescue organization Mutts and Mom and Ms. DeGeneres, so we are reaching out to that organization to see if we can assist in a resolution.

  59. so what if shes crying she cares..i think its sad they should give the dog back i dont understand if it has a good family why they took it away ...the whole point is to put the dog in a loving environment

    By chrissy, on October 17, 2007 19:59:51

  60. I think Ellen is so full of bull shit to use her show to get a freaking dog returned to her hairdresser's family. Personally, I don't want to turn her show on to see her bawling like a spoiled brat that didn't get her way and pulling the TV audience into her 'pet' drama. If the dog didn't fit in your home, Ellen, you were to return the dog...period. Here's my advice, drop your talk show, and get out there and find homes for homeless pets...just don't do it on the show. And how much does that pay, hmmm? Are we seeing another Rosie? Stardom sure goes to these comedians head. Never forget, you guys are not OPRAH. You are comedians with a talk show. Oprah is a journalist.

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 20:42:12

  61. Ellen's been wronged by these heartless twats. Giving a warm loving family should be the #1 priority with these agencys. What the fuck people?

    By anonymous, on October 17, 2007 21:18:11

  62. Ellen is full of shit. She's boo-hooing over a dog, for pete's sake. What about some emotion over starving kids, orphans, homeless, etc..and I don't mean in other countries..right here in US?? What about sick kids? She sucks. I used to like her but she cried like a bloody 3 year old, the selfish little twit.

  64. Poor girl ... Have you seen her telling how much she misses the dog in this TMZ video? (http://www.weshow.com/us/p/19802/ellen_degeneres_drama)
In this video Ellen explains why she decided to tell the drama is her program. Although I've found Ellen's attitude ridiculous, I just don't understand why not to let the girl stay with the dog.

    By Jena, on October 18, 2007 10:15:07

  65. Ellen is ridiculous. She embarrases 1.herself 2.Mutts & Moms 3.her fans by engaging in this behavior. Jesus, be an adult and handle this on your own time. The dog will be ok. Concurrently, M&M should have told Ellen (or the family that received the dog) they could come in to work out the transfer. Ellen has issues w/animals that none of us can understand. I think she needs some professional help.

Why would they take a dog off someone to put it back in the shelter?

  68. the marilyn monroe tat on megan fox's forearm was a bad move. in fact, all tats on hot chicks are bad moves. especially tats of dead celebrities though.

  69. Unless she is plugging away at Portia with a 18 inch black dildo, I could care less about this professional dyke.
While the dog people might have been a little more harsh than people would like, they were perfectly right. There are too many a--holes who buy all kind of pets for their kids and few weeks later get rid of them when they realize teh work it takes/or are bored with it.
If they care enough to have potential owners go though hoops to get a pet tomake sure it is taken care of, I can see them not wanting the dog passed on. What would have happened had the hairdresser decided they didnt want the dog? Passed it off to the gardener? And so on....
Be a man Ellen and admit that you dragged this out for the publicity it has garnered you passed you cadre of loyal homos and bored housewives.
And it worked. People who didnt care about her now know she is still alive and she didnt have to flash her cooter/penis? to get the free publicity.

Although that Portia/dildo idea could prover to be a good idea. As long as Ellen is holding the camera and not in the shot.

By Rob Enderle, on October 20, 2007 05:29:43

  70. Wayne Pacelle of The Humane Society of the United States commented on the situation yesterday: http://hsus.typepad.com/wayne/2007/10/ellen-dog.html. He says Mutts & Moms threw common sense out the window.

    By Meghan, on October 20, 2007 08:29:01

  71. Man some of you guys just dont get it..

Sure, alot of people have worse problems, but that doesnt make this problem any smaller- just 'cause somewhere someone is being tortured and starved doesnt mean that a situation like this isnt allowed to hurt a little.
