  2. oh my goodness

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 13:55:52

  3. for real? *runs to scour internet* that's too bad. I thought he was turning into a great actor.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 13:56:03

  4. Oh my gosh.
    :(

I don't even know what to say.

  5. wtf?

    By Malcolm, on January 22, 2008 13:58:06

  6. I thought EXACTLY...word for word...what the first poster said.

Honestly, it's a shame. And now let's go read about amy winehouse stuffing drugs down her throat....sigh.

    By JMR, on January 22, 2008 13:58:12

  7. That sucks. Hope the best for his family.

    By quoipourquoi, on January 22, 2008 13:58:37

  8. Damn. That really sucks. He was a decent actor.

  10. That sucks.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:01:16

  11. How tragic. What a brilliant talent who could have made such an impact in acting. How sad for his little girl and family. :(

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:01:22

  12. How do people like Amy Winehouse stay alive and guys like this die?

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:02:59

  13. Shameful. Had it all and pissed it all away. Hottest girl ever for a wife/partner, cute kid, talent. He was ugly as hell but a guy can't have everything I suppose. I'm sure Michelle dumped his dumb ass because she found out he was drugging. What a dipshit.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:03:13

  14. Oh my God, what a shock..may he rest in peace

    By Leigh, on January 22, 2008 14:04:09

  15. amy's body is a toilet so you can put any kind of shit in it and it won't get damaged , to bad ,,but Heath dying is sad he was a good actor and it looks like as the joker he was awesome soon we will know

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:06:44

  16. What?

    I can't close my mouth!

Poor guy! what about his kid!

  17. Turns out somebody did know how to quit...

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:08:14

  18. Waste is right...he had huge potential. I feel so badly for his baby girl. :(

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:08:21

  19. I'm seriously crying right now..and he's not even one of my favorite actors.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:08:28

  20. There are a lot of ways to die accidentally, overdose isn't necessary. Feel bad for the cancer patient, not the over-privileged actor. Fuck Heath Ledger.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:09:08

  21. how is LOHAN still alive? he was super fucking talented, and regardless of what anyone says, the clips of him as the joker seriously gave me chills, he was so good. gosh this is sad. his poor kid.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:09:42

  22. I feel so bad for his baby. :(

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:10:37

  23. This is absolutely sad and disturbing.
He isn't even someone I would've thought was doing drugs.
What a waste and I feel so bad for his little baby girl.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:10:52

  24. RIP, at least he went out at the top of his game. Sympathy to his family, especially his daughter.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:11:32

  25. Do you know how many people die every day? You weep for HL because he was in a movie about homosexual cowboys?

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:12:46

  26. wow it will be really weird to watch the dark knight now.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:13:38

  27. I thought he had his shit together. If it was Leo DiCaprio or Colin Farrell, I'd have been far less surprised. Call me stunned.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:14:24

  28. This is so sad..I still cant believe it.Poor guy,and poor baby.

14:09:08, please get your heart tested( only if you have one)

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:15:02

  29. I just saw " Candy " about a week ago and now to read this... pretty messed up

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:16:57

  30. He hasn't seen or looked like himself since his split from Michelle. Methinks he had some serious depression going on. THis is just heartbreaking.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:22:56

  31. Yes, we weep. Let's shred more Iraqis and Kenyans! Let's deplete Afghanistan while crushing the population. Let's spill blood for oil and still go about our day without shedding a single tear for humanity.

But Heath Ledger is a victim of his own stupidity and people come out with their cliched RIP's and "I'm so sads" -- give me a fkng BREAK.

    By She-nonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:23:55

  32. wow i thought it was not real but wow that just shocked me!

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:24:23

  33. wow, he was such a great actor! I guess you really don't know what's going on in someone's life. And to the person that said that people die daily - we're aware of that. If it was posted on the internet, I'd feel bad for them as well.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:24:26

  34. Leo DiCaprio, 14:14:24? I think he has it together. Never heard of him doing anything other than drinking too much.

This has shocked me. I just didn't expect this, even slightly. Don't know what to say. So sad for his little baby girl.

    By Jen, on January 22, 2008 14:25:40

  35. Suicide. It had to be suicide. He was no drug abuser, or we'd have known about it.

And She-nonymous, consider this your engraved invitation to go eat a heaping bowl of dicks. He was a talented guy with a baby, so take your whiny, liberal handwringing elsewhere. And that's coming from a whiny liberal.

By Zombie Hitler, on January 22, 2008 14:28:59

  36. Per NY Times, he was at MK Olsen's apartment and was an apparent suicide. Very strange.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:29:04

  37. Another shitty actor bites the big one. I would have picked so many others (Lindsay, Paris, Nicole, Britney) to go first, but i can't complain.
tally this one up as another actor dead because of drugs, and now he will be praised as some tragic story, just like Anna Nichole, even though she clearly didn't deserve it either.

    fag.

By Say It Is So, on January 22, 2008 14:29:06

  38. He was such a good actor. I still watch Brokeback Mountain when it is on HBO. Poor Matilda.

...and Paris lives on and on.....

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:29:38

  39. Heath Ledger = The New Brandon Lee. Mark my words.

I will now watch the new batman movie 100 times.

By José Quesadilla, on January 22, 2008 14:29:41

  40. Certainly unexpected! Very sad. It sucks when anybody dies. Gotta feel for his baby daughter though =(

    By Sarah I, on January 22, 2008 14:31:29

  41. Wow, well this was very unexpected! What a waste.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:36:31

  45. Hope MK Olsen is feeling like shit right now

    By Akare, on January 22, 2008 14:37:17

  46. And yet Britney and Lindsay live on...this cruel cruel world we live in..

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:41:09

  47. Can't feel sorry for him now. If a guy is in Mary-Kate Olsen's apartment, voluntarily, he clearly deserves to die.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:47:18

  48. It's always upsetting when someone you know or know of dies. I've found it shocking and disturbing when people I went to school with died, even if I didn't know them personally.

Even when you've never met a person, to see them and know something about them is enough to cause a real blow to your sense of normalcy when they die unexpectedly. Heath Ledger was one of those actors you thought would be around for years to come. I thought he would be working into his 60s and 70s. He could have been, too. He was low-key and talented, and didn't make a spectacle of himself like so many of those transient actors who will be nowhere to be found this time next year.

As celebrities go, he was one of the few young actors who you felt you could enjoy watching. He actually came across as a decent human being, not so much of an ego-maniac as some other celebs. I appreciated his presence in hollywood and hate that he's gone now.
Brad Renfro died on the 15th, but no one really reported it. He was a phenomenal actor as well.
May they both rest in peace.

    By Lynda, on January 22, 2008 14:48:04

  49. holy shit, i can't believe that.. he was only 28...and what the fuck was he doing in mk's apartment?!

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:48:32

  50. If he committed suicide, dont waste your tears and heartfelt sorrow on this selfish prick--give them to his 2 year old daughter.

If it turns out to be just a bad reaction to over the counter drugs or something, then I retract my statement.....but anything short of that....

    By Jim, on January 22, 2008 14:49:03

  51. holy shit I did not see this one coming...

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:50:14

  58. Shenonymous, you're insane.

    About Matilda, the little girl;

thank God he left first. She already knows what it's like to not have Daddy around, and it'll make it easier for now until she's old enough to understand what happened.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:56:07

  59. That really sucks. I liked Heath as an actor a lot. Why the fuck do good ones have to die and the bad ones keep on living?

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 14:56:41

  60. "There are a lot of ways to die accidentally, overdose isn't necessary. Feel bad for the cancer patient, not the over-privileged actor. Fuck Heath Ledger. "

I seriously hope you get hit by a car. Asshole.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 15:01:02

  61. I was so shocked by this that my fingertips went numb. I'm a big fan of the movie Candy, where Heath is a heroin addict -- that should take on new relevance now.

But for everyone who falls, another rises. I think the real beneficiary of this is Lindsay Lohan. She had a fling with Heath months ago and I'm pretty sure this is what was needed to wake her up. She's the powerful, charismatic one who could set an example, and turn people around from their wasted lives.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 15:01:07

  62. Anon 15:01:07 are you fucking serious? LiLo can turn people around from their wasted lives? Ok, AMY, put the crack pipe down...

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 15:06:25

  63. its sad that he died yes, even though as an actor i am generally indifferent to him. i think its sad when anyone dies whether its suicide or ODing its a devasting blow to the ppl who actually know him not stupid ass fans who feel like they know him

this is hollywood my friends - these ppl are surrounded by substances all the time and no one stops them. most actors are on something we just dont know until theyre dead or in rehab

diane keaton said on letterman the other night when she was in broadway a doctor there would shoot the cast up with Methh to make them hyper while they act,..

    By virgo, on January 22, 2008 15:06:35

  64. 1) Sleeping pills are what they found. Unless the cops can now do instant toxicology tests it's anybody's guess as to what actually killed him.

    2) It's a well known fact for most that both Heath and Michelle loved the happy dust. You don't have to go digging too deep to find that one out. Try cross referencing the Toronto International Film Festival with Ledger and Cocaine.

    3) It is very sad. It's especially sad that someone who was once close to him and knew of said drug dependency didn't intervene. Well, at least she's got a few years to practice the tale she's going to tell her daughter.

    By Vigilante, on January 22, 2008 15:07:41

  67. The guy was 28, with a two-year-old child. Irrespective of what he did for a living, and exactly how he died, it's sad.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 15:12:47

  68. Didn't know the human being--but he was a VERY talented actor.

    I am really, really sorry.

By Zen Wizard, on January 22, 2008 15:13:46

  69. She-nonymous, what are you, 15 years old and Really Concerned About the State of the World? Give me a break, this is an entertainment site. It's why people are talking about somebody in the entertainment biz. Now stop reading here and go save the whales or something.
Re: Heath Ledger - really too bad, cause he did seem like one of those long-career stars... kinda like poor River Phoenix a while back. I was bummed when he died too - he was a great actor.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 15:15:31

  70. Pure.Damn.WASTE!

Why God takes the good ones first and leaves the trash behind?! Britney.Amy.Paris.LiLo, etc.

    By wtf, on January 22, 2008 15:28:56

  71. I'm sorry, but did somebody on this post really compare Heath Ledger to Anna Nicole Smith? When you remove your head from your asshole, consider rejoining human civilization. Until then, I hear there are some pretty interesting caves in Afghanistan.

    By Laurie, on January 22, 2008 15:30:22

  72. My god.. First Brad Renfro and now Heath Ledger.. What do they feed them in Shittywood? O.K, stupid question.

    By Kylla, on January 22, 2008 15:33:50

  73. Great question, wtf at 15:28:56: the talented ones like Heath Ledger and River Phoenix die, while the useless wastes of space live on. I'd prefer none of them die prematurely, for the record, just noting that the talented ones die.
RIP Heath Ledger. He had great talent and charisma. I think he was one of the few young actors that were really compelling on the screen. And of course, the biggest tragedy is that he had a daughter and family he left behind.
I can't believe some of the idiotic comments people say in the aftermath of a tragedy like this, either. The curse of the internet is that anonymous cowards can say nasty shit they would NEVER say in person.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 15:34:08

  74. i smell foulplay for some odd reason. dead with pills all around the body. sounds more like someone trying to cover their tracks than suicide.

but if i'm wrong then hopefully this will open the eyes of britney, amy winehouse, and kate moss.

    By Prettyboy, on January 22, 2008 15:36:38

  75. I wonder what the rate of suicide is in Hollywood as compared to the rest of the country. It seems so much higher, as does the percentage of people being devoured by their addictions or in recovery from them. They seem overprivileged with the level of media attention and money they get, but it's obviously not helping them any on a personal level.

    By Dani, on January 22, 2008 15:42:17

  76. Saying that we shouldn't care about Heath Ledger dying because there's a war (and other things) going on is kind of like telling you not to complain of hunger pangs because there are starving kids in Africa. If you don't get the whole celeb fascination thing, there are plenty of other sites to visit.

    By TrayC, on January 22, 2008 15:46:28

  77. @ 15:34:08 Anonymous:

I also agree with you... It is sad to think that someone could be there with/for him and prevent it. Some people are just weak in general and depression can push them even more into isolation and from there to the drugs is just a short distance. It's easy for so many of us to say "NO!" to drugs, but we are the lucky ones.

We don't know why he was left alone and by that to come to that final point. But there'll be a lot of people who'll feel regret and guilt 'till the rest of their life's for not doing enough and help him. For God's sake! He was only 28!

    By wtf, on January 22, 2008 15:48:43

  78. So when I saw this, my heart totally stopped. I was completely shocked.

Poor Heath he was so cute and intelligent and had a really hot voice.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 15:51:14

  79. "It's easy for so many of us to say 'NO!' to drugs, but we are the lucky ones."

So true. What a tragedy all around. He was an amazing actor.

  80. keith who?

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 15:59:13

  81. You people are so fucking ridiculous getting all weepy and upset over some dude you didn't know, and who didn't give a fuck if you lived or died. There's worse shit that happens every single day--right in your backyard. Fucking people crack me up. How will I EVER sleep tonight knowing Hollywood has one less overpaid a-hole lurking around?

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:00:40

  82. i think its just plain sad. He was talented and yes thousands of people die each year and nobody gives a sh%t... but the shocking part of this story is that you think someone who has fame, money and looks has it all, but when stuff like this happens it makes us all realize that money indeed doesn't buy happiness!

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:04:47

  83. you know stuff like this really irritates me!!! I have had really freakin hard times in my life. I have suffered alot and I'm not going to get into the details of it all but there were times where I wish my heart and brain were ripped out of my body to not feel any pain but I managed to survived without ever touching a drink or drugs.

Am I just stronger than most? Why can't people get over crap on their own, why do they have to resort to using drugs...I guess I just don't get it.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:08:28

  84. Fuck you 16:04:47.

A father died; have a little sympathy.

Wow wow wow I am so sorry what a thing to get wrong.

    Just don't mind me. :)

    By mollay, on January 22, 2008 16:13:52

  86. I am shocked just like all of you. I litterally screamed when I saw it on the news. Honestly though from what Ive heard so far nothing has proved that he was doing drugs or that it was an overdose. All ive heard was that there was sleeping pills next to him. If it was an overdose, I couldve just been an accidental one. No proof that he was ever a drug user. Im not saying he didnt use drugs, im just saying there is absolutely nothing from what ive heard that proves that. They didnt find cocaine by his body, just sleeping pills. I did read that recently he was only getting two hrs of sleep a night so maybe he just took too many sleeping pills not thinking it would kill him.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:19:20

  87. hello! I said it was sad..it's tragic, I can even imagine what his family and friends must be going though.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:19:34

  88. God bless his soul and comfort his family. I'm truly sad to see another talented actor go and I'll be watching that stupid Batman movie just to see him in action for the last time...

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:19:44

And yet here you are, commenting. Instead of demonstrating your character, though, by expressing sympathy for the recently deceased, you demonstrate your distinct lack thereof by making an asshole out of yourself in a thread commemorating the dead. What the world really needs is one less "a-hole" like you. Go fuck yourself.

You, pathetic, evil shit! I bet you are kicking your own dog (if any) and treat your parents like crap. Yes, that's you - sad, little soul.

Heath was a public figure. This site is celebrity news site. He was 28.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:46:33

  93. Poor bastard.

Anybody reading this who suffers from depression understands how someone so "talented, lucky, a dad, etc." could take his own life. Depression is an illness, a terrible, horrible illness. There is no "choice" involved. Those of you who don't suffer from this illness, please try to remember that you are truly blessed, and show the same compassion for someone who commits suicide as you would anyone with any other chronic illness. A depressed or bipolar person can no more "be strong" and "hold it together" than an ALS patient can run a marathon. And if you don't buy that, then go fuck yourself.

    By De-nonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:54:34

  94. "Fuck you 16:04:47.

A father died; have a little sympathy."

Come on, at least be honest during this kneejerker weepfest (who knew all of Hillary's campaign workers hung out on IDLYITW). A father KILLED HIMSELF after deciding to bail out permanently on his parental responsibilities. That's not being harsh or unsympathetic. That's the truth.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 16:56:25

  95. R.I.P. Heath. You will be dearly missed!! :(:(:(

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 17:06:59

  96. 16:56:25

In ten years, see if the fact that her father bailed on her helps Matilda's grief.

Why don't you tell her yourself that it's okay, because he didn't want to be a dad anyway.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 17:15:44

  97. RIP Joker. You took it so seriously it got to your soul. Condolences to your daughter and family.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 17:15:51

    By Prettyboy, on January 22, 2008 17:55:51

  106. Hmm, well, that's too bad. He did seem like a pretty good actor and a pretty decent guy to boot.

And, LOL, I can't help but remember how much of a bashing ol' Heath would usually get in the comments on this site before. Oh well, I guess we're all a little bit hypocrites. No mind.

  109. His death was a fucking waste and such a complete shock. I just got home from work and was complete stunned. The dude was a great actor and most of all he didn't portray himself like a complete asshole. The fact Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears are still alive and he's not is a testament to how unfair life can be ...

And let's not jump to conclusions people about being a drug addict or killing himself..

Some of you assholes need to have a heart...he was a human for god's sake..

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 18:23:39

  112. I'm sure lots of people have said it before me -- it should be a consensus at this point --, but how does Heath Ledger dies from an OD and *those three* (or four, or five) are still around?

Not a fair world, I tell you.

  113. The manner of death may never be conclusive, but I don't think anyone should be assuming he "took the easy way out." The tragedy is heartbreaking.

  114. Look at all you dumb fucks calling him a "druggie" and "abuser"... "just say no"!

FUCK YOU. It was an ACCIDENTAL overdose of OVER THE COUNTER sleep meds! Drugs, any drugs, whether they be legal or not can form a dangerous and even lethal concoction reguardless of your own age or health.

Heath was a solid bloke, and a talented actor. In this cultural sinkhole known as 21st century America, we should mourn every shred of talent that slips through our fingers.

    Love you, Heath! RIP.

  115. Heath was treated in rehab last year for a heroin addiction, and he's had substance abuse problems for years, so people aren't way off here. It is sad he's gone though and I feel most bad for his young daughter who'll never really know her father.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 18:52:52

    Oh..he..wasn't in a movie..was he?

Heath Ledger never came over to my house, he never called me up and asked did I see his gay cowboy movie, and he never sent me a Christmas card.

I didn't know him. Doesn't mean it's not sad..the tragedy is that all that's going on around us..we stop to cry because an actor died.

  127. You people make me sick, whatever evil thoughts you are saying about this tragedy I hope it all happens to you. Heath Ledger was a decent man who didn't thrive on media attention but gave his all on screen and wasn't just in it for the money. Remember he has a 2 year old daughter there is no way he was that selfish to kill himself and leave her and Michelle behind to bear this pain of his loss. Putting other people down, especially when they are deceased, in order to make your pathetic selves feel better is a sickness. You deserve only the worst that can happen to a human being.

  137. I'm pretty saddened by this. One of the very few male actors in Hollywood who seemed really down to earth. Only an OK actor, but a very cool guy. I absolutely loved A Knight's Tale... one of the most enjoyable movies I've seen in a long, long, time. He and Shannyn and the rest of the cast were just a joy to watch.

The question I have to all of you is... if we're coming down hard on Amy Winehouse, then why not Heath Ledger? Aren't we hypocrites here? If Amy overdosed and died, would we feel sorry for her? So is it really a drug habit that we have a problem with then, or is it just a person's personality? Is it OK, and is it excusable, for a seemingly nice person to do drugs then? What is the difference between the two cases and how they are treated here?

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 21:44:23

  144. All shall shed the mortal coil. All are flesh and bone. The question is, how shall we live and in what form shall we accept the great beyond? As life as in death, there must be recognized points of honor. Whether actor, or janitor, whether politician or maid, the way we live and the way we die are steadfast measurements of dignity and character.

Ledger is a tragic soul. He sacrificed advantage and privilege for the indulgence of booze and narcotic. Unlike the cancer patient who faces a snarling lion of a disease with courage, Ledger poisoned himself with mind numbing drugs and passed into the great beyond lowly and without his boots on.

A man who dies naked on the floor at a young age should not be celebrated. He should be pitied and his tragic death should be a lesson that all glory is fleeting.

    By anonymous, on January 22, 2008 23:44:20

  145. All the comments about "why cry for Heath Ledger when blahblahblahblah"--shut the fuck up. Just because people are expressing shock and sadness over his death doesn't mean that they are shallow. Whatever happened to compassion? Is it wrong to feel bad when someone loses their life, regardless of the circumstance? I didn't realize that it was unacceptable to feel bad when a celebrity dies. Deaths, regardless of cause or situation, can be tragic. So give me a fucking break. Whether Heath committed suicide or not, I think this is still a tragedy, and my heart goes out to his family. And to all you self-righteous angry douchebags posting this shit: your attempts at looking globally aware are really backfiring, and you're just making yourselves look stupid.

    you are an idiot.
    angry, huh?
that is the only emotion? no sense of loss? no guilt for how the loved ones left behind that feel they could have stopped it? no heartbreak over holidays missed and wondering how the years would have changed her or him? then, when you do get angry, you feel guilty for that anger.
and all of these emotions are lived with daily.

so no, i am sure a little girl who has lost a daddy that world got to know better than she ever did, is not going to live in anger. i am sure she will mourn for the relationship she will never have.

  165. I have to agree with anonymous, on January 22, 2008 21:44:23. We totally rail on the women who do drugs, but the guys who do it are "talented actors" and RIP. It's sad in both cases, but it's also tragic that they allow themselves to get so ridiculously wrapped up in something both illegal and deadly. You have to start doing something for your "addiction" to take over. And, yes, depression and bipolar disorder are illnesses--that are TREATABLE! If you have kids, you owe it to them to be responsible, suck it up and get treatment. If you want to go over the deep end and kill yourself once your kids are grown and out of the house, then that's your own selfish story to tell.

Like I said: wish I could turn back the clock and stop this from being true… Heath, you were unquestionably, steadily on my top 5: the chart where I place actors who win my heart - talent is the most splendorous thing… All the movies you won’t make, the maturing you won’t undergo… I wish I could still watch you when we were both in our 60’s… Wish there was a way.
For some reason, ever since I heard the shocking news, Gustavo Santaolalla’s “The Wings” from Brokeback’s soundtrack is playing in my head and won’t stop… Probably because it’s so sad, and so beautiful, and reminds me of you…

You chicks are really, really insane. A bit of advice, Honey...don't judge someone's personality based on a character they played in A Knights Tale.

Oh yeah, I guarantee that most of the girls crying about this have posted, numerous times on this site, that they wish (Actress X) was dead. Worthless skanks, the lot of you.

    By anonymous, on January 23, 2008 09:46:37

  171. "Worthless skanks, the lot of you"

Ouch. All the above poster was saying was that from his interviews he seemed like a down to earth guy. She by no means said he was a saint. Relax. I'm sorry your last girlfriend/boyfriend kept screaming someone else's name but that's cause you're bad in bed not because of us "worthless skanks".

As for the rest, no it has nothing to do with him being a guy. The site rails just as badly on that douchebag Pete Dorherty. This wasn't a drug overdose, it seems so far to be an accidental death due to complications of taking Ambien and having Pneumonia (the two don't mix well). The End. It's sad because he was a decent human being unlike most of Hollywood.

    By anonymous, on January 23, 2008 15:23:27

  177. There are wars and injustice going on all around us and people fixate on this little thing. Heath Ledger lived a richer life than you can ever imagine, you who toils at your job to pay the bills.. These rich people don't appreciate what they've got. And your "pity" doesn't make you any more moral or closer to them. In fact, quite the contrary.

The rich get bored. They get tired of you shitty fans wanting to be "seen" with them or attending the same event of club just so you can go tell your friends about it. They lack meaning, substance in their REAL lives. They fuck around. They leave their wives/girlfriends/partners/children. They want a higher high. They do drugs and they die sometimes. Despite their fancy doctors, their masseuse, their hair stylist. Despite ALL that they got, they throw it away. THAT is a waste.

  178. i am so sick of everyone on here talking shit about this reporter John Gibson…he tells it like it is!!! Heath was nothing more than a drug addict who didn't value his life (rich and famous for moreover) enough to not do drugs and live. What a piece of shit..he is "WEIRDO"…just like every other young star who couldn't take the "pressure" and did drugs and died. Fuck Belushi, anna nicole smith, river pheonix, and chris farley, marilyn monroe, and every other LOSER who did drugs and died. I hope amy winehouse is next and Britney Spears. I LOVE JOHN GIBSON for telling it like it is. Heath is a loser drug addict who couldn't handle making millions of dollars and being famous. Maybe he should have worked in a factory, actually worked for a living…and he wouldn't have been so depressed and did so many drugs and sleeping pills. What a fucking joke.

  179. Wow, he sure outdid Lindsay Lohan for causing a drama to promote a movie. Take that, Lindsay!

  180. I don't think anyone wishes bad on anyone. It's just maddening how these rich folks (and this is not exclusive to famous actors but rich tycoons which are hidden from the spotlight) make and misuse their money.

  181. If it had to have been anyone, I wish it could have been Tom Cruise. He is pretentious and nausiating beyond words. He thinks that he and his regigion are better then everyone else, and puts a bad name on anti-depressents which have saved many people's lives.

Heath Ledger on the other hand was a down to earth, sweet, kindhearted and sensitive man who used his acting talents to dig deep into the minds and hearts of troubled souls. He put on no airs in his performances, they all reflected truth.

Most actors dont dare to or cant even do that. I will certainly miss you Heath.

The fact that it was not Tom Cruise and it was Hieth Ledger proves that only the good die young.
