I think the biggest problem with these AI singers is that they get crappy songs handed to them by the record company. Songs that nobody under 40 wants to listen to. Seriously. These are (typically) young people singing, yet, they're forced to sing songs written for 50 to 60 year olds. The same problem was with the guy with gray hair, who's also a pretty good singer (how about handing him some 1960's-like rockers, instead of the crap he got?) or the guy with the long brown hair who sang with Lynyrd Skynyrd a couple of times (he's a VERY good singer, but I sure as hell am not going to spend 1 penny for that album of his which is complete garbage because of the songs on it.... Bo Brice was his name?). Fantasia's album sucks too, but she's obviously a talented singer. These record companies are ran by old farts who have completely lost touch with good, YOUNG, music and force these youthful, energetic, people to sing lame songs written for old people. I personally don't listen to mainstream music, so I don't really care. I just see these music executives be completely ignorant with what they try to do with these singers once they sing them. Most AI singers are awful, true (even in the top 10), but the few that can sing, get ruined by the industry who focuses more on the business, than on making quality music.
