    Mel: 1
    Heath: 0

  2. Mel Gibson is a fucking sociopath. I'm surprised that crazy asshole isn't dead.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 09:21:27

  3. All of those Old Testament bible thumpers are morons. I hope none of them eat any shellfish, or else they're going to hell with all the "fags" they hate so much.

  4. E is reporting that production has began on "The Patriot II." Heath Ledger will once again play the role of the dead son.

  5. you guys are terrible. i cant believe any of this.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 09:32:47

  6. mel is hot. and still breathing. yummy

    By ddd, on January 25, 2008 09:32:49

  7. that is fucking disgusting. i am so sick of this hypocritcal bible assholes running their mouths. this mans life is over and all they can do is make a mockery of it. people should be respectful of the family during this time, not making an example of it. i hate people like that......

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 09:38:07

  8. All of the church bombings in US history, and this Westboro Baptist "Church" goes untouched?

    There's no justice.

    By Jim, on January 25, 2008 09:39:20

  9. So, playing a gay man is "against mel's morals?" Does he cut everyone off from his life who has played murderers or robbers? It's called ACTING, mel! Furthermore, mel's high and mighty stance is pretty hypocritical for someone photographed so often in bars when he falls off the wagon. I respect his fight against alcoholism, but if someone goes back to drinking, they can drink at home, not in a bar with whores hanging all over them, mel.

By mel is over, on January 25, 2008 09:41:43

  10. Wow, God sure "hates" a lot of things. He sounds like a really nice guy.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 09:43:08

  11. Hmm... didn't "Man without a face" deal with gay themes? Plus in braveheart how wore a skirt and in "What women want" he wore panty-hoes and makeup. I call this story bullshit.

By Cox Roxer, on January 25, 2008 09:48:00

  12. god is gay

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 09:51:06

  13. They are nuts. Who cares. go ahead and picket. Blah Blah Blah. Being a public figure and making movies that some concider "controvesial" leaves you open to this type of thing. It may be wrong, but whatever.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 10:00:00

  14. These people belong to a CHURCH? OK let's get technical fuckfaces, you sick F*CKIN twisted hypocritical cult sheeple.

    LEVITICUS 19:17
THOU SHALT NOT HATE THY BROTHER IN THINE HEART; THOU SHALT IN ANY WISE REBUKE THY NEIGHBOR AND NOT SUFFER sin upon him.

    LEVITICUS 19:18
THOUGH SHALT NOT AVENGE, NOR BEAR ANY GRUDGE AGAINST THE CHILDREN OF THY PEOPLE, BUT THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THEYSELF: I AM THE "LORD".

    By Tina, on January 25, 2008 10:00:40

  15. I'm pretty sure God doesn't support picketing funerals.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 10:07:59

  16. This story is false because God himself played a gay cowboy in a college play once. His son, the Jesus, also was often mistaken for a homosexual due to his long hair and hippy like beard and robes. It is well known and documented that there are actually a lot of homosexuals in the god family. (If Jesus came back today and claimed he was the son of god, the religious right wouldn't believe it was him and would be the first to stone him for blasphemy. Idiots!)

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 10:18:36

  17. Mel doesn't like you quoting from the jew part of the Bible.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 10:20:18

  18. They picketed funerals for soldiers killed in Iraq as well, for defending a country that shelters gays.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 10:20:55

  19. Nice, 10:07:59.

    Very funny.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 10:24:32

  20. I live in the same city as the Westboro loonies and I can assure you that their "church" is made up entirely of the relatives of Fred Phelps (his adult children and their families), so their "congregation" is very, very small. The media gives this moron way too much attention. He has NO following other than his immediate family members. He's an attention whore and con artist. May they continue to be successfully sued--that's the only way we'll be rid of them.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 10:39:41

  21. Mel is correct. God hates gays but he loves drunk drives and married men who let half naked women hang on them! He also loves racists. Go on Mel....you're the man!

Good on you for 'disowning' Heath. I'm sure Mel is breathing a huuuuge sigh of relief that an actor who ACTED gay is dead. Yay!

    By JMR, on January 25, 2008 11:02:21

  22. So, if God created the heavens and the earth and all things living and breathing...then who created the gays?

    Xenu?

    By Vigilante, on January 25, 2008 11:18:47

  23. January 25, 2008 10:39:41

I, too, lived in Topeka for a while. And I totally agree. Who cares? They are fringe lunatics. Let them do what they want. Giving them attention is the real crime. We live in a free society, and so in order to get many of the "good" benefits as such, we have to put up with a lot of "bad."

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 11:20:23

  24. Hmm. Well, things did seem to turn for the worse for Heath after he played that role in BB. I wonder if that's why he ran and married his co-star Michelle Williams? As a kind of reaction to playing a gay?

Funny how playing a gay had no effect on Jake though. None whatsoever.

    By Pepster, on January 25, 2008 11:27:32

  25. "a" gay. Wow, that doesn't make you sound like an ignorant, hateful moron or anything.

Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams were never married, just to split "a" hair (and underscore your ignorance).

    By "a" nonymous, on January 25, 2008 11:47:51

  26. Pepster, you're as ignorant as the members of that Baptist church. Move to Kansas and go picket funerals with them.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 11:50:29

  27. So let me get this straight. If I act in a movie, my character represents my moral tenets. Like a drunk, womanizing, half-crazed, gun-toting egomaniacal LA detective. There was nothing wrong with Heath palying a gay man. And I chose not to watch it, because I have no interest in gay men. Simple, isn't it?

    By HAFSNT, on January 25, 2008 11:51:00

  28. I never watched Brokeback because most of the cast was full of shitty actors I don't care about. It had nothing to do with the gayness. Heath Ledger is a better actor than the rest of the people in that film though.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 11:55:51

  29. I'm sure Mel will apologize for this. He's a huge fan of "Batman" movies and he heard that a ticket to the premiere of the new one just recently became available.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 11:58:27

  30. Oh, great--damn you Fred Phelps--now I've gotta hear people like 11:50 telling all the homophobes to move to Kansas. I miss the good ol' days where all I got was a "clever" Oz reference when people heard where I was from. What I would not give for a "Hey, where's Toto?" comment now. As if being from Kansas did not already suck enough. Fuck you, Fred Phelps.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 13:15:59

  31. Jesus loved the sinner but not the sin. And I doubt he was sanctimonious about it

By Mel Gibson is an idiot, on January 25, 2008 14:13:46

  32. "So, if God created the heavens and the earth and all things living and breathing...then who created the gays?

    Xenu?

    By Vigilante, on January 25, 2008 11:18:47"

Ahhh...but he created men and women with free will, and they can choose a life of sin (guess which group that refers to?). It's a sin, and it can be changed, because they choose it freely.

I don't believe any of that crap, btw. It's just something I heard from a religious zealot right before he died - accidentally ran into a hell of an uppercut. God's will. Goddamn.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 15:11:19

  33. I don't buy this story.

Mel is friends with and was roommates with Geoffrey Rush who has played quite a few gay or bi-sexual roles. Plus he kissed a guy in one of his early films. I don't think he's that bad.

    By Suzanne, on January 25, 2008 15:56:00

  34. My my, aren't we touchy. I use the word "a" before "gay" (because it makes grammatical sense) and suddenly I'm "ignorant", "hateful" and a "moron". Very nice.

I wonder if you see the irony in what you posted at all. No, you're probably too busy wishing death on anyone else that doesn't fit into your narrow idea of what is "right" (although you probably call yourself a liberal).

I also love how not knowing that Heath and Michelle were not married constitutes being ignorant for you. Don't suppose you see any comedy in that either.

Seriously, get laid, if you can. Or maybe that's your problem in the first place.

    By Pepster, on January 25, 2008 17:05:17

  35. In terms of continuing to breathe? Listen, if Mel is so hot for Jeebus, then I think Heath wins. After all, isn't an alleged Christian supposed to go to the heart of God? Heath was baptized, so it seems it's:

    Heath 1
Mel 9th circle of hell (and he's not even dead yet).

    By Jennifer, on January 25, 2008 18:17:26

  36. you bible thumpers are the worst. it was a MOVIE you jerkoffs

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 19:18:46

  37. Why give that church any more publicity by posting their blogs? They'd be wringing their haggled hands in glee for this.

Ignore them.. a sniper bullet wouldn't do any harm also.

    By anonymous, on January 25, 2008 22:48:11

  38. Your joke wasn't funny because it didn't make sense.

    By anonymous, on January 26, 2008 02:27:33

  39. Thank you, 15:11. But you see I believe in genetics. And I also believe someone can be predisposed to having homosexual tendencies. It's how I manage to keep from knocking Clay Aiken down and stealing his lunch money.

No free will in genetics. Unless you want to believe Paris really wanted to be born looking like a retarded ostrich.

Or that Kelly Clarkson really wanted to be born with Down's Syndrome.

    By Vigilante, on January 26, 2008 07:27:49

  40. umm Jesus WAS a jew you moron

    By anonymous, on January 26, 2008 07:30:32

  41. wow this coming from a man who is a chronic adulterer drunk, druggie, hatemonger and racist. go to hell Mel oh right your already there (smirk)

    By islandgirl7, on January 26, 2008 16:24:12

  42. If this story is true, good for Heath Ledger! Mel Gibson is no moral authority to be judging anyone. He is an alcoholic bigot, who's view on society archaic.

    By anonymous, on January 26, 2008 17:16:18

  43. sssssssssshhhhhhhhhh...dont wake the fatties V

    By G-Nonymous, on January 26, 2008 18:20:30

  44. People, Fred Phelps & his mentally twisted family (the only people in his stupid church) will NOT be picketing at Heath Ledger's funeral. These yahoos reside in Kansas, in the United States; Heath Ledger is being buried in Australia & they're not going to fly to Australia to picket. The mental midgets of Fred Phelps family are using this to get more media attention, and the dumbass media is playing right along...

By Let's hope Fred Phelps & family die really soon, on January 26, 2008 19:35:34

  45. Ahhh...but he created men and women with free will, and they can choose a life of sin (guess which group that refers to?). It's a sin, and it can be changed, because they choose it freely.

    ------------------------------------------
I know you're being sarcastic in the other part of your post, so maybe I'm reading this wrong. However, one thing I've learned from friends who are gay is, they DIDN'T choose this. No one readily chooses to be something that is discriminated against & looked down upon by the overwhelming majority of society. If you ask anyone who's gay, they will readily tell you that, from as long back as they can remember, they always knew they were different, that they felt totally out of place in heterosexual situations. It's hard wiring people, NOT a choice...

    By anonymous, on January 26, 2008 19:41:27

  46. Yes, I concur. It's true. One cannot choose to be gay. It's just who you are. You canna hide it. Doomed to wander the earth, or at least this end of Wales, tortured and persecuted. It's not easy being a gay.

It's especially bad for me, see, as I'm the only gay in the village.
