She made some good points. First, she said that she isn't against euthanizing animals (so that link to the right is no big news). That's how she got started. She worked at a shelter, and started coming in early and staying late because she wanted to euthanize the animals humanely. She said that they would keep all the animals in the same room, they all would watch what happened and then their turn would come and she decided to do it herself.
Another point was that PETA knows that they don't get much respect. They do outrageous, over the top, and inappropriate things just to get people talking--basically, to bring to light many issues people may not know about. She actually said that she was well aware that if she was to support a political candidate, they would lose. I thought it was interesting to know that it's actually part of a bigger plan, you know? Anyhoo.
That said, I'm not a supporter, or a vegan or even a veggie. And I love me some leather. But I think a celebrity has the right to choose which cause they endorse. They can help animals or people. If people stopped writing about what they had to say, maybe it wouldn't matter as much and they'd stop spouting off.
That's what I love so much about celebrities and the hangers-on; give them a little bit of fame and money and they become experts on everything- ala Pink, Tom Cruise, Adrianne Curry, Lynne Spears, etc... Most of these losers didn't even graduate from high school or ever have an original thought in their heads, yet they can't wait to shoot their mouths off.
