I don't think that the age difference is the issue here. 10 years is pretty normal in adult relationships (guys like younger women and a guy is typically older than the girl anyway). It is a bit shocking only because she is 17. If she was 27 and he was 37, nobody would have a problem with it. Now, I hope that this guy understands that she is only 17 and that he has to give her time to grow up a bit and not rush her into anything she may not be ready to do.
Emma, on the other hand, have always seemed to want to grow up a bit quickly. There have been a lot of pictures of her drinking alcohol since she was 15 years old, I believe. She kind of seems like a little party girl, although I hope I'm wrong on that.
Anyway, the big problem, of course, is that this guy is a drug addict. What exactly is she thinking? Where are her parents? You don't want to associate with people like that and she's actually dating one. Someone needs to sit her down and have a serious discussion. Lay some ground rules. Again, where the hell are her parents!?
