Vanessa Paradis has more sophistication, class and integrity in her baby toenail than Angelina Jolie has in her entire fame-whored-out body. You can't compare the two. Have you ever seen more than maybe 1 or 2 pics of Johnny and Vanessa's kids? She is incredibly famous in France and Europe, yet still is able to keep her children off the cover of every major tabloid somehow. Angelina's kids are nothing more than accessories to keep her in the limelight.

A lot of comments have been made about how Johnny chose Vanessa. People remember, she got pregnant three months into the relationship. I am sure that was not planned. It might have made Johnny feel trapped. That is why they never have married yet. Yes, he has stayed with her, but possibly for the kids and to keep up appearances so he does not look like a jerk leaving his kids. I believe had Vanessa not gotten pregnant, he would have moved on after several months to someone else. In an old interview he said when he met Vanessa he was not thinking about a relationship.

Around February 11 she was photographed with her kids at Disneyland and she looked thin and haggard. The Oscar photos shows her heavier. Must be water weight. She also has a lot of makeup on to hide the flaws, although she does have great bone structure. Well, normal people cannot walk around with makeup on all the time.

As for the academy awards, i think best is to compare Katherine Heigl's pics and these to see the difference between what European & American like: 2 very different women, grossly made up, vaguely beautiful, largely overrated, and lacking in almost any kind of talent. Just Heigl is already a sweetheart in the USofA, and it's the same for Paradis in Europe, or at least french-speaking part of it (though her music is bull...., except "Pourtant", that's worth it), it's just different culture....as for myself, I prefer watching Jennifer Garner's pics, the best looking and best dressed of the ceremony, by far!

I guess the only way to keep a man like Johnny is to be a trophy wife and lug your kids around following him where he is working. Sometimes I wonder if Vanessa has low self esteem. Yes, she is a star in France, but she has only done two albums 7 or more years apart plus a few unforgettable movies and projects over the last 10 years in France. The rest of the time she is going back and forth between France and LA with the kids. Eventually when the kids are in their teens both Johnny and Vanessa need to figure out where they need to settle as the kids will want to be with their friends. Anyway, what type of education are their kids getting? Tutoring? Homeschooling? They seem to be going back and forth between countries frequently throughout the year that it does not seem stable to be in school systems in both countries. Just wondering.
