  1. "Diablo Cody" is so overrated it's fucking unreal. She either sucked off enough old pervs in Hollywood, or the old fucks decided that this EMO bitch was just so "cutting edge" that she had to win. Of course "cutting edge" to these dumb fucks means an ex-stripper with emo hair, a jailhouse tattoo and a made-up retarded name like "Diablo Cody." Seriously, Hollywood is so full of tools.

  2. Actually, that French girl who won Best Actress was pretty big dark horse as well. I was happy for her, she was genuinely happy and excited. Javier Bardem = hot. Come on. When he started with the Spanish?

  3. I don't understand how anybody can watch this shit. It really is just a big circle jerk by a bunch of high school dropouts.

    By coolpapa, on February 25, 2008 10:14:25

  4. Please explain how
"That ain't no Etch-A-Sketch. This is one doodle that can't be un-did, Homeskillet."
    is so much worse than
    "I drink your milkshake".

I have not yet seen either movie, so I can't speak for which was more deserving, but kwitcherbellyaching if the best you can do is pick single obsure lines to back up your point.

  5. Juno sucked. Get over it.

  6. "It really is just a big circle jerk by a bunch of high school dropouts."

They have ba-jillions. Most high school dropouts have a trailer and a camero. The movie stars win. Sucks for those of us who are annoyed by pretentious idiots.

  7. It's spelled C-a-m-a-r-o.

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 10:21:22

  8. Every person in that picture is EXTREMELY unattractive.

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 10:22:23

  9. Come on, I dug the weirdness of TWBB and the insanity of Day-Lewis' character as much as the next guy, but No Country is a fucking masterpiece and deserved to win.

  10. Anyone else find it interesting that none of the "big winners" were Americans?

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 10:44:29

  11. So coolpapa was off doing other wicked cool things last night. Thanks for filling us in!

  12. Why can't the Taliban bomb the Kodak Theater on such an auspicious night?

  13. That redheaded THING makes me want to vomit. Please get it off this website.

  14. I don't get why there seems to be a lot of hate towards Juno by some people. I loved it, should it have won best picture? no. I haven't seen There Will Be Blood yet, but No Country for Old Men was incredible and I think deserved to win. But for best orginal screenplay, granted I haven't seen any of the other movies so I am VERY biased, but I just loved it. This could very well be giving Juno something just because of all the hype around it, but still, it was just a fun little quirky movie that is what it is.

  15. Tilda Swinton is the luckiest bitch alive. How the hell does someone that unfortunate looking get famous????

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 11:20:06

  16. By being extremely talented. Isn't that refreshing for once?

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 12:04:35

  17. I like that the winner for best screenplay writes in Hollywood under her stripper name and came to the Oscars dressed as Betty Rubble.

TWBB was over rated. Daniel Day-Lewis saved it from being as boring as whale shit. Imagine Harrison Ford playing Daniel Plainview, you'd kill yourself.

I hated that French chick that won best actress in every English language movie she's ever been in. Julie Christie is a better actress and I'd still do her.

Why is Michael Bay part of the academy?

  18. "there will be blood" AWFUL MOVIE!!!

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 15:57:31

  19. Juno was so stupidly overrated. Apparently sprinkling in ghetto talk that average suburban white people would never say (homeskillet, dawg, homes, etc) makes you just too zany and witty to handle. Please.

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 16:35:18

  20. I was surprised that Diablo Cody was emoting so much during her speech, cause usually she has the dead-eye real bad.

    By oakling, on February 25, 2008 16:54:02

  21. The girl from JUNO should had won and so that girl from that movie ATOMENT or how ever you spell that mess they got robbed ,the ex stripper that won needed to get naked on stage

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 17:02:31

  22. Haven't seen any of those boring looking movies. Has anyone?

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 17:51:27

  23. I thought Tilda Swinton looked awesome. What did it for me was the fact that she looked so different than the other presenters. I'm not saying she is ugly (she's not) but her appearance made me think that she must be hired for her acting chops (and not her looks). Plus, I thought she must be confident and really cool with herself to come to the awards show where everybody, including the men, do it up.

    yadayada...Tilda is cool.

  24. saw the trailer for "juno" before "no country" and i kept expecting a rim-shot after each piece of dialog. so congrats! indie is officially mass market. it seemed like they played diablo off stage or did i just imagine it?

    By sinking_ship, on February 25, 2008 18:18:30

  25. I thought Juno was a really funny little movie. I dont think it belonged in the same venue as The Godfather, Forest Gump, Lawrence of Arabia or Casablanca but it was a funny movie.

    By anonymous, on February 25, 2008 19:56:58

  26. i'm glad i don't give a shit about the oscars, its got zero credibility.

    By anonymous, on February 26, 2008 02:52:20

  27. Out of the five movies selected for best picture I have seen three of them. Juno was OK but not near as good as No Country or Micheal Clayton and I have heard good things about TWBB. But people kept telling me that Juno's dialog was so great...BULLSHIT. Superbad had better dialog than Juno so you can suck my balls Diablo, Juno was decent but it did not deserve an oscar. Seems like every year the oscar winners are getting worse and worse but thank god No Country won best picture.

  28. Why do some people have to complain ALWAYS? Everybody calls "No Country For Old Men" a masterpiece and one of the most deserving winners for years, and the acting awards are all well deserved (even a foreign language actress!).
