  1. clown. fight club was the only thing good anyway

    By mbv, on March 14, 2008 09:06:14

  2. I heard he wanted to change the Hulk's color to purple instead of green. How gay.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 09:09:31

  3. Hate to break it to most of you, but Fight Club was fucking lame.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 09:17:40

  4. He looks like an 80's magician in that picture and everyone who looks like that is a total douche. It's that big forehead slight mullet look, anyone with that is just totally full of themselves, like that kid from Malcolm in the middle. They just exude a sense of douchery.

By That guy with no big head forehead and slight mullet, on March 14, 2008 09:53:28

  5. Norton is awesome. He's putting his rep on the line to play a superhero, so I think he should get to do what he needs to. The new hulk movie gets it's credibility from Norton being in it. Stick it to the suits, Ed!

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 09:57:13

  6. Hottest. Skinhead. Ever.

    By Staci, on March 14, 2008 10:13:49

  7. He looks like a weasel to me. I've never found him attractive.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 10:15:22

  8. The way superhero movies are these days, if his changes and control-freakness mean the movie won't suck.... I'm all for it.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 10:30:36

  9. Looks to me like every other stupid CGI comic book movie that's come out in the last decade.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 10:37:51

  10. He's done much more than 3 good films. Even if you exclude Fight Club (which was one of his weaker flicks.)

    Primal Fear
    American History X
    Rounders
    25th Hour
    The Score
    Red Dragon

    All good movies.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 10:54:50

  11. I've always liked Ed Norton. Good actor.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 11:05:09

  12. He's the least memorable person in every movie he's in.

P.S. I hate rabid Fight Club fans. It was a good book, good movie, but stop making it your religion, assholes.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 11:06:31

  13. Red Dragon doesn't hold a candle to the ass of Manhunter. William Petersen does a far better job with the role/character. Check it out and I have no doubt your list will be down to five.

By Gil Grissom, on March 14, 2008 11:08:59

  14. Norton's biggest box office hit was The Italian Job, which he was barely in and publicly bashed. I think he's a good actor, but I don't see Marvel's incentive to bend to his will.

By Jim Treacher, on March 14, 2008 11:17:33

  15. They throw producer credits out to actors now like candy on Holloween. It doesn't mean anything. Generally it happens when the real producers want a certain actor but are unwilling to give into his crazy demands such as more money. Instead they throw him/her a producer credit.

Real producers were complaining about this practice not too long ago.

Hope you make a lot of money off this Mr. Norton because you won't be working much in the future except maybe low budget indies.

By Donkey Punch, on March 14, 2008 11:19:56

  16. He is a great actor.
Great in Red Dragon, Fight Club, American HistoryX, Primal Fear. The Illusionist ... not so much.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 11:26:18

  17. I WORKED on the Incredible Hulk. Before the movie, I was a fan of his, but he truly is an ASS!!! And yes, he did rewrite the script...every single day. He made it into a drama, not an action movie. All that action you see in the trailer....that's it. The rest is all talk.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 11:42:21

  18. Oh, Lord. Another pseudo-intellectual actor who has had his ass kissed once too often who, amazingly thinks his shit don't stink.

By Ethan Hawke, on March 14, 2008 11:55:51

  19. I think he was hot in American History X all bulked up and stuff. But he's way too skinny otherwise. Great actor though. Too bad he's an ass.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:06:52

  20. another HULK movie ZZZZZZZZZZZ keep that shit in the cartoon area that movie is going to suck and make 10,000 more then the hottie and the nottie made

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:17:12

  21. Seriously, look at the amount of crappy superhero movies: Elektra, Daredevil, 2 Fantastic Fours, Ghost Rider, 2 Blades, Spider-Man 3, X-Men 3,...
Norton's putting all his credibility on the line for this crap. So they might as well let him fuck it up, or make it better.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:29:24

  22. Why do men have such a love affair with Fight Club? Every guy I have ever known loves that movie. EN was in some good movies, but he does come off as very arrogant and entitled.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:38:38

  23. Sorry Staci but Russell Crowe beats out as hottest skinhead ever in Romper Stomper.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:42:28

  24. He's pissed off at the world because he doesn't have the balls to come out of the closet.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:46:20

  25. I agree with 12:38 totally---some guys are so GAYLY in love with Fight Club. It's not a normal obsession, it's like a creepy sexual thing. I'll bet the same guys who like that movie secretly like going into gay bathouses and sneaking peeks. FIGHT CLUB IS SUPER GAY!!!

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:47:32

  26. "Why do men have such a love affair with Fight Club? Every guy I have ever known loves that movie."

I'll take a shot. It might be because the story depicts a seemingly averaged sized white collar middle-class corporate cracker engaging in tough-guy activities, and thus provides a fantasy outlet for the average pasty American male who is scared of his own shadow. Jeff from Accounts Payable can identify with Ed Norton's character and think to himself "Yeah, I can probably kick some ass just like that", (whereas testing this hypothesis in reality would lead to a rude awakening).

    Sound believable?

    By J-Bird, on March 14, 2008 12:47:50

  27. Fight Club "seems" gay because the man who wrote the book is a gay man. He's not in the closet either. He happily admits he's homosexual.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:50:43

  28. Fight Club is the Frat Boy's "art film."

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 12:57:26

  29. He totally looks like that douche from Lord Of The Dance in that top photo.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 13:09:07

  30. Fight Club is the Frat Boy's "art film."

    LOL so true.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 13:13:37

  31. I never liked this overrated, sissy looking, ugly douchenozzle. I loved the scene when he got butt raped in prison in American History X! Let me guess, he wanted that scene in Tony Kaye's movie!?

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 14:18:09

  32. No way....google Tony Kaye he is the most difficult director since I dont know when

    google Tony Kaye

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 14:29:32

  33. The only movie I saw him in was apparently American History X and I didn't even know about him until today.
I never saw the first Hulk and I'm defiantly not seeing this one!

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 14:46:01

  34. 1) Romper Stomper > AH-X. That's a given.

    2) As far as I know I'm not a dude. I checked about five minutes ago. I'll check again if you like. And I liked Fight Club. Probably because I like fist fights. And old houses.

    3) Ed Norton has always been a script meddler. Something to do with Salma Hayek and an interview on the carpet at the Oscars (?) comes to mind. Something about the Screen Writer's Guild. I'm making dinner, I don't have the time to Google it.

And d) Yes, he's a prissy cunt. I met him once and he didn't do me the honour of even looking at me when he said "Hello". Truth be told...if the shoe was on the other foot I might have done the same. He ain't that much of a looker.

    Damn. I'm burning dinner.

    By Vigilante, on March 14, 2008 14:49:31

  35. Well, now that I'm cooking blackened chicken...

I was thinking about Frida. Apparently he re-wrote the script but he wasn't credited for it because he's not a member of the Writer's Guild of America. He got pretty pissy over that.

If he did rewrites for this movie he probably won't get credited for it. But I'm sure he's gotten used to that by now.

"Hey! See that! That part there? I wrote that part!"

Sure you did, buddy. Sure you did.

    By Vigilante, on March 14, 2008 15:25:06

  36. that looks so dumb

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 15:47:02

  37. who gives a shit? he's a great actor and i'm sure anything he would have suggested would have made the movie better.

    By len, on March 14, 2008 16:41:11

  38. I don't get all the hype around Norton. He seems pretty douche, but Tim Roth and Robert Downey Jr. would be the only people who make that movie watchable.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 16:45:49

  39. I love him no matter how annoying he seems to be (or people want to make him look like). One of the best actors I've ever seen.

    By Eveday, on March 14, 2008 17:30:45

  40. Didn't like Fight Club, but he was beyond hot in American History X and the 25th Hour

    By jazzdemona, on March 14, 2008 17:37:36

  41. Sorry, but Edward Norton has the talent to back up his demanding behavior. If he's kind of a prick, then he's earned it.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 18:00:31

  42. ...Marvel's run by a bunch of idiots-don't know how much of a dick Norton really is, but all the people he's pissed off over the years are assholes in their own right - take it from somebody inside who's worked with all these chumps (Kaye, Esterhas,etc)...

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 18:16:10

  43. I've always enjoyed his acting.

Maybe he's a huge douche in real life, but hey, I'm watching him on a screen not having a beer with him.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 18:38:15

  44. Didn't think much of Fight Club. The idea that Norton and Pitt were in the end the same person was ridiculous. The scenes where we're finally revealed the "terrible" truth and see Norton hitting himself in all kinds of ways were laughable. It turned into slapstick comedy and the film lost what little credibility it had.

He was good in that flick with Richard Gere where he played a murderer pretending to have split personality disorder though. He was okay in Illusionist. Giamatti and Sewell were better.

    By Fred, on March 14, 2008 18:44:12

  45. Thanks to Avi Arad and Marvel, Spider-Man 3 had Venom foisted upon it. So in my opinion Edward Norton can fuck with whatever he wants. That trailer alone is better than all 37-hours of the first Hulk movie.

By Bruce Banner, on March 14, 2008 20:11:34

  46. If he was brought on as writer/producer/etc. Then damn right he should stick to his values!

At least someone in Hollywood isn't all about the all-mighty dollar and has some integrity in his/her work. Fuck.

    By anonymous, on March 14, 2008 20:27:58

  47. It's "the Hulk", for crying out loud, not the cinematic masterpiece of the decade. It'll be another dumb popcorn movie, E. Norton should collect his 25 million dollar paycheck and then go write a script and produce a decent film, where he can publicly prove what stellar talent he supposedly has. Don't get me wrong, the film could be awesome, just something about this growing onslaught of comic book-based movies really makes want to barf. And I love, love comic books.
There are so many other gifted actors and writers that have been working for a longer time (I guess they don't have that weasel look down pat)that don't have the snob persona and insincerity that Norton exudes.

    By anonymous, on March 15, 2008 07:55:27

  48. Every time I hear Ed Norton's name, I think of a comedy routine of Eddie Murphy's back in the 80's -- back when his humor was edgy and he wasn't picking up trannies off the street. It was a takeoff of the Honeymooners where the guys were gay. Norton! Ha Ha! And then the two guys have a gay tryst. Come to think of it, the humor still works just as well today.

    By anonymous, on March 15, 2008 15:09:56

  49. No wonder American History X sucked. This guy was screwing with the script.

    By anonymous, on March 15, 2008 15:31:40

  50. 20:27:58

    You're 100% right.

I happen to think the Norton is one of the better actors in Hollywood, compare his work and roles to the likes of Tom Cruise and ilk!

    By anonymous, on March 16, 2008 09:54:06

  51. Excellent actor. Love him.

    By anonymous, on March 16, 2008 22:21:55

  52. Norton is one of the best actors, he don't have any bad movie in his career. And first Hulk movie was totally bullshit, I am sure Norton can make much better one, he is very talented and handsome man.

    By anonymous, on March 17, 2008 03:29:23

  53. OK, don't ask me why, but I thought the CGI Hulk in the first film looked cute. I know how silly that sounds, but I stand by word. And I think Eric Bana is 10X hotter than Norton.

    By anonymous, on March 17, 2008 12:47:44

  54. what the pathetic git should really do is just sit down and write a screenplay, he wouldn't be able to, he is a good actor but the self importance does tend to shine through in some films, anybody seen The Illustionist, he was trying to snog Jessica Beil who is twice his size... ha ha ha
he has the over inflated sense of importance of the chronicly short male!

    By Pooola, on March 18, 2008 09:29:38

  55. Norton is the most talented actor working today. It's true he gets amongst all the scripts but why do you think he keeps getting hired? Because he is amazing. That's why.
