Holy Crap, I've been visiting your site for like two years perhaps. This is my first comment because you poured your heart out to Chris Cornell, probably the best pure rock n roll voice of the last 15 years, AND you threw it down on today's shitty rap and hip hop scene. Matt Cameron needs a break from Pearl Jam, right? Yeah he does. Kim Thayil is probably bored stiff doing nothing, and Cornell needs to get back to singing Soundgarden songs. I mean, if alt Douche Billy Corgan put together half the band, Cornell can do it.
Jenny, my respect for has increased by leaps and bounds. Chris Cornell is just smokin'. Awesome, distinctive voice, beautiful face, tight bod, the whole fuckin' works! I was just lamenting to my fiance about the sorry state of music today...real rock stars like Chris Cornell are a dying breed.
thanks for posting this mini-tribute the most under-rated musician of our generation. this man is a rock god with the midas touch - everything he creates is gold, imo. AND he's HOT AS HELL. his abs make my knees weak. can't wait to hear whatever he's working on next; loved him since early days of soundgarden.

p.s. anyone watch idol this week? i got the impression the judge's thought david came up with that rendition of billie jean - even tho secrest prefaced preformance with 'the cc version.' that was chris' genius at work and david just was able to capitalize -- he did nail it tho.

I read celeb blogs everyday and this is my first comment EVER on one because i TOTALLY AGREE with what Jenny has to say. I miss Soundgarden, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains too.
oh, and chris isnt an ass, ive met him once, in atlanta, he was promoting a solo album, this was before audioslave, after soundgarden. He hung out in little 5 points, and went to midtown music fest (the band i was in at the time was opening for no doubt) he stayed and watched, and afterwards almost made me cream my pants by telling me i looked hot onstage, and maybe hell see us on the road soon (yowza, i couldve came then and there). Unfortunatly for me, our lead singer copped out by doing too much X, and i now just play more as a hobby. But Id still love to do him. I even have a tatt he has, on my leg, (its on his shoulder) Can we say obsessed? hah
You need to stand in line because he needs to have sex with me first!
Soundgarden have long been my second favourite ever band (after Jeff Buckley) and I saw them twice before they broke up. I never thought I would get to hear songs like Jesus Christ Pose, Fell On Black Days, Outshined, etc, but then I saw Chris Solo again this year and it was like seeing Soundgarden again! He played most of the songs from Badmotorfinger and Superunknown. He also played Seasons a Temple of the Dog number or two. It was like heaven. I hope that man never ceases to make music and tour. We need more solid rockers with real longevity like him.
Now I wonder if Scott Weiland will get his shit together for long enough to tour Down Under with STP?
