Is that Maggie Gyllenhaal I see there? Wow, I wonder how she landed a role in the movie? I wonder that so much. I mean, she's not a blockbuster-movie type, she likes those indie pictures and all, and of course she's no classic beauty. It is just SO INTERESTING that she got hired to be in this movie with Heath Led--
What's with all the Maggie bashing? So she's not a classic H'wood bombshell; she's a great actress and seems like a good person. Plus her brother is hot as hell. ;)
Maggie-looks bashing. She's a wonderful actress and seems pretty normal it's just that she really does not belong as the love interest of a billionaire and, apparently, a senator.
Katie Holmes looked pretty fugged up too in the first one; what's with the not-so-great looking loves interests for Bruce Wayne?
And to anon April 29, 2008 09:59:50: Say that AFTER you've seen the film. After it comes out, you can say all you want about how it pales in comparison, but until then, kindly stfu.
Maggie and Katie don't have any right to be anywhere around "good" movies. All you arthouse fucks can have them in your little circle jerk indie movies, but keep these "unconvention beauties" (a.k.a. ugly no talent trolls) away from the blockbusters.
"Say that AFTER you've seen the film. After it comes out, you can say all you want about how it pales in comparison, but until then, kindly stfu."
I can already tell I like Jack and Tim's version better. I like Jack's over the top comical take on it and Burton's vision of it. It's based on a comic book, I like that it was comical. It's my opinion, so you kindly stfu.
Yeah I agree with the previewing dismissal. Who needs to view it? If you love comic books taken very seriously, good for you, I'm sure you'll love this movie. But...a guy dressed as a bat battles a psychotic in clown makeup, as well his own fractured psyche...errr, thanks, I'll take that one with a BIG order of well-justified camp. I know it's too much to ask, but I'd love it with all the *kapow!* tags during the silly-boys fight scenes ("oops, stepped on the hem of my cape, now it's RUINED!").
"I can already tell I like Jack and Tim's version better. I like Jack's over the top comical take on it and Burton's vision of it. It's based on a comic book, I like that it was comical. It's my opinion, so you kindly stfu."
Yes, but you haven't seen the new one yet. So, you don't know if you like the old one better. Your opinions are like children of incest: one-sided and flawed.
More boring, run-of-the-mill sequels for stupid Americans who will gobble it all up. You can't WAIT to spend your money on crap. Honestly, Hollywood execs must watch you idiots scrape your pennies together to run to the movies as soon as their newest crapfest comes out and laugh their asses off. Can Americans think beyond Batman, Superman and Spiderman?
So far I've seen 2 different previews for TDK. I still like Jack Nicholson's Joker better. He was psycho and funny, a fat crazy man in a purple suit with a Prince soundtrack. It's obvious that's not what Heath Ledger is doing and that's ok. He already said before he ODed his Joker was not anything like Burton and Nicholson's Joker. No one needs to see the entire TDK to know that.
Are there any plans to make videos on here compatible with the newest Safari anytime soon? This is literally the only site it happens on for me, and it's every single embedded video.
Maggie is the only weak link in that chain. I don't care if she is or isn't a classic beauty but she couldn't act her way out of a Paris Hilton video.
(14:39) You know what's the best part about socialized medicine? Being conned into paying for it with high taxes and than dying on a 2 year wait list ... that fucking rocks! GO CANADA!
"Was". The conjunction you're looking for is "was". The only thing amazing about Keith these days is the large amount of worms feasting on his rotting corpse.
By anonymous, on April 29, 2008 11:50:37 _________ You are probably an American yourself. But, for arguments sake let's say you aren't. I think it is much more noble to stir shit up on an anonymous message board then see a sequel to a movie. Save it, you little prole.
It's fucking movie land. Suspension of fucking disbelief and all of that. An escape from the fucked in the ass economy, a war that keeps chugging along and other shitty realities. Piss on some other parade. Why don't you sit through a mind numbing film just to say you did and then scurry off to a party to eagerly tell some chick you met about a 'clever' little film you just saw. Do that before she excuses herself to go to the bathroom and never returns..
But instead you'll just log in to an anonymous message board. I got news for you: Americans are bashing the way things are going on here already. You're not exactly bringing much to the party.
Whoa, really stirred some emotions there. Suck my Clit? You are quite the lady, aren't you? For the record I AM 100% American, but I have had the privilege of traveling all around the world and living in different countries. I am not saying this for no reason. I have TRIED to watch these idiotic movies. Really, I have. It's torture. The unoriginal cliches, poor writing, horrendous, predictable acting. I can tell you one thing for certain: Americans, without a doubt, are some of the least cultured people in the world. When it comes to films, I am saying it's sad, that's all. Hollywood has a death-lock grip on your minds and won't let go. That's why you can't think beyond Hollywood. And that's just how they want you to be---mindless, uncultured little drones that will spend your money on anything they tell you to watch.
Oh dear...gotta love pretentious spoiled twats who play the "I've traveled, therefore I know everything" card.
Look asshole, your semester abroad in Brussels or whatever hasn't really helped you understand the fact that summer popcorn movies are probably the least of America's problems right now. Take a moment and reflect on how insignificant the issue is compared to some other things happening in the world.
I never said sucky movies were the biggest problem facing America, fuckface. But it's a huge cultural problem when at least 2 generations can't think beyond Batman artistically. What's sad is, you'll STILL be beating off to the thought of Batman XXXVII five summers from now.
Hey Anon, STFU A-hole, I'm not American, and still look forward to seeing Batman, Spiderman and Superman movies. I'll even bet I've travelled more than you, read more than you and do more "Cultural" activities than you, you ass-wipe.

I can't wait until the next one, when they bring back The Penguin. I hear Kelly Clarkson is a lock for the role...

WTF is Maggie "Pig Face" Gyllenhaal doing as the "love interest" in this gd movie?

I can't wait for all the nerds who jacked off to Maggie in "Secretary" to come defend her honor again. *PUKES*
By anonymous, on April 29, 2008 10:07:11
Maggie is so lucky to be the sister of the guy who got buttfucked by Heath Ledger. Nepotism is awesome.
By anonymous, on April 29, 2008 10:08:44
Someone told me once that Christian Bale likes fat chicks. I'm pretty sure I'd be off his menu.
Where did I hear that again...? Something to do with Monica Lewinsky...

How crazy would it be if Heath Ledger's version of the Joker really was down syndrome...
By anonymous, on April 29, 2008 12:30:38
The only way he could be more of a lock is if The Joker had down syndrome or could only write with his left foot.
Or was a mute who plays the piano, or some WWI burn victim who never speaks.
