Leave Your CommentI still have no idea how this woman, of all the people in the world, came to be the judge of a singing contest. Her singing voice, at its best, sounds like two cats drowning.

It's hard for me not to change the channel when she gets her turn to speak to the contestants. I'm not sure what type of pills she is on, Vicodin, Oxycontin, Zanex, Valium, or some other awesome cocktail, but someone needs to drag her to rehab where she can come down off her pharmaceutical induced hallucinations. She's practically fucking drooling.

They tried to explain Paula's "lapse" on a radio morning show I listen to and chalked it up to her using her cue cards from rehearsal earlier that day. I'm not buying it, though - I think she's using a smorgasbord of pharmaceuticals. It is almost impossible to be that stupid without the use of drugs.

It does make you wonder if they'll fire her for being so stoned that she blew the script.
What? You mean people still think this show is for real?

Choss, you nailed it, and I also believe she was totally high. Whenever she starts talking I just take a deep breath and hold it knowing she going to screw up. Paula, stop being like Roger Clements and just tell the truth.

I'd like to do a choss on her monkey-head.

American Idol is scripted, and she's waaaaay too 'relaxed' to realize her stupid script has designated times for certain comments..... this show so needs to end

Fuck, Paula Abdul is my idol! I want to go to work, completely loaded and get paid obscene amounts of money to judge a karaoke show. I'm tired of doing it for free at the local dive bar on Wednesday nights.

American Idol does a dress rehearsal right before the real show with the full audience - that's how they get the "singers in review" clips ready. Paula likely took notes, as I would, since remembering exactly what you liked and didn't like after hearing another 5 performances would be difficult. Yes, she screwed up, yes she might he on pain killers, but the fact of the matter is that what she did wasn't that bad and wouldn't be that difficult of a mistake to make.

My local radio jocks said this morning that it is time for Paula to pee in the cup and that if the did stuff like she does on their jobs, on radio, the bosses would say, here is the cup. Take a pee.

Okay...so ...
It's not her singing voice that qualifies her as a judge, it's experience in the music industry...
No one knows if she was drunk or high and everyone is being a bit presumptuous in saying so...she could have genuinely been confused...
and to Todd: you lose all credibility when you call people names on your post. Try saying something insightful next time, anyone can talk like skank.
By jamie, on April 30, 2008 19:02:10
What's wrong with how I speak, you drunk bitch!
By Skank, on May 1, 2008 09:06:35
I'm not defending her, but didn't she already come out and state she's got this painful back condition that she needs to take painkillers for??
