  1. What I don't understand is, why doesn't anyone ever say "no" to these fucking pricks? Everyone just lets them keep getting away with shit like this.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 11:23:01

  2. DDL is no diva! Brother makes his own shoes, yo!

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 11:35:59

  3. Agreed, 11:23. I'd be telling 'em to grow the fuck up. Just like my Mom tells me to.

    By Vigilante, on June 20, 2008 11:40:38

  4. Ha-ha! Just having some fun with the interns! Haven't you guys seen 30 Rock?

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 11:48:22

  5. "Just having some fun with the interns!"

You call that having fun with the interns?!?

By Bill Clinton, on June 20, 2008 11:51:26

  6. Do you honestly believe any of these so called stars are actually nice in real life?? hmm...NOT!!

DO you think Adam Sandler and Jim Carey are funny as shit at the Mcdonald's Drive thru??

They are actors and 99 percent of them are pricks in real life..that's why I choose not to hero worship..

They get shit stains in their underpants just like you and me buddy!

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 11:54:53

  7. I don't know, he seems like a pretty cool, well-grounded guy. My guess is he was just fucking around with the interns and someone took it seriously and decided to make a story out of it.

    By Kristina, on June 20, 2008 11:55:02

  8. I think Mike Myers would have demanded more crazy things than a certain seltzer or creamer if he meant it to be a joke. He would have been funny about it like on Chappelle's Show when they made fun of Puff Daddy.

  9. Those interns sound lousy. If he requests items, they should be able to go get them. It's NYC for christ's sake, it's not like they're filming Conan in some remote location that doesn't have non-dairy products and seltzer. Incompetent people piss me off too, Mike.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 12:01:33

  10. He's using the show to promote his movie and he's getting paid for it. Why does he need to make people run around and fetch things for him? He can't go an hour without these things and just get them for himself after the show? I don't understand these people.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 12:07:57

  11. Is it just me or is anyone else ashamed of mike meyers being Canadian?

    By Sammy, on June 20, 2008 12:08:24

  12. Gee, remember when Mike Myers used to be funny?

    Yeah, me neither.

By John Brown, on June 20, 2008 12:16:35

  13. He is just pissy because he knows his movie is already a flop. His career has been stale for years.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 12:26:09

  14. I would love for one these pricks to ask me the "Do you know who I am?" question so I could pop them in the fuckin' mouth.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 12:32:19

  15. keep in mind--these interns are either getting paid or took the job for the experience. it's a job that they accepted and should do what is asked of them. life could be worse. mike's busy so he pays people to do those things for him. good for him. they need to suck it up and get the job done. no sympathy.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 12:39:35

  16. Yeah, guys! I am waaaaay too busy to find my creamer, or bring my own. I certainly can't be expected to use whatever creamer you have on this set! Lousy interns!! You oughta know I can't get through the next half hour without my special seltzer. Come on!

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 12:44:17

  17. I don't think anyone is really feeling bad for the interns. I think people are just surprised to find out Mike Myers is a jerk. It's just a t.v. talk show he was only on for a few minutes. Why did he need to have anyone running around the city to get special things for him that they didn't have in the Green Room?

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 12:45:01

  18. I like Mike Meyers, but that new movie of his looks SOOOOOOOOOO fucking unfunny. Poor timing too since Sandler's "Dont Mess with The Zohan" actually looks somewhat funny.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 12:45:09

  19. Kristina 11:55:02

he seems like a pretty cool, well-grounded guy.

Actually, no. He's moody, demanding, a perfectionist, temperamental, brittle, passive-aggressive, and has a lot of issues he needs to work out. Don't get me wrong, I think the guy's a comic genius, but I'm not going to pretend he's as affable offscreen as on. It seems that the best comedians are always tormented by something and Mike's no different. Look at Jim Carrey. He was about to kill himself before he finally got on track.

I'm not saying that that excuses being demanding of interns, but that's just part of the machinery of the industry. Some stars are great people to work with, some are divas because they think they're entitled, and then there are the ones who perform because they're trying to fill some part of them that's hurting.

By Andy Kaufman, on June 20, 2008 13:14:00

  20. ^ ouch, I thought Mike Meyers was one of the more level-headed ones out there too.

He's probably just pissed because deep down he knows that the love guru is pathetically lame.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 13:23:42

  21. I have always heard (and read) in many articles that Adam Sandler is one of the nicest, low-maintenance actors in Hollywood. Who knows, unless you're friendly with them on a personal level.

    I like 11:35:59's comment

    By Nikki, on June 20, 2008 13:34:56

  22. He's not funny. He's never been even a little funny. He needs to stop making crappy movies and disappear into the sunset somewhere, with a truckload of creamer and raspberry seltzer to keep him company.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 13:37:48

  23. to be honest, i don't really see any "diva" behavior here. he has people working for him who are employed to make him more comfortable. that's a life he can afford to have. when he asks an intern to get him something within reason, he should expect to get it. he shouldn't have to use the creamer provided if that's not what he likes and he can have someone get the kind he prefers. it looks like someone was upset about having to do work and made it sound like a nightmare. welcome to the bottom rung. do your job right and move on up.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 13:37:53

  24. Who gives a shit what the interns' jobs are or aren't. Myers was still making unnecessary demands of them just because he could. He's supposed to be a cool down to earth comedian who doesn't act like a spoiled celeb, or that's what I thought until now. I haven't really liked anything he's done for years anyway.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 13:43:53

  25. If you don't like the creamer provided then just don't have coffee. You can't go an hour without a cup of coffee, Mike?

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 13:45:41

  26. I have always heard (and read) in many articles that Adam Sandler is one of the nicest, low-maintenance actors in Hollywood. Who knows, unless you're friendly with them on a personal level.

A close friend of mine who's a bartender said Sandler and a group of his friends who he usually has in his movies with him came into his restaurant one night and spent a few hours at the bar having a great time. He said Sandler is exactly like he is in his movies and so are his friends. They're funny and they're good tippers too. I'm glad he's not like most of the H-wood jerkoffs.

  28. Just curious--Andy Kaufman--are you in the biz? Sounds like you know your shit. If you're not in the biz, how the hell would you know what stars are like on their off time? Bejeezus!

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 14:29:48

  29. This guy is awful and he knows it. Being demanding is sometimes a cover for insecurity. It keeps people away from you.

    By Tom, on June 20, 2008 14:44:28

  30. MM is known as one of the biggest pricks in Hollywood. He's miserable and far from "down to earth". I know plenty of people that worked on the film and hated him.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 14:52:42

  31. anonymous 14:29:48

Yes, yes I am. I'm not saying I'm some big-shot insider, but I've been around enough to have met people from all across the spectrum. The biggest thing I've learned is that treating actors (and anyone else in the industry) like they're normal people is the best way to find out what they're really like. If they don't think you want anything from them then they'll let their guard down and you'll see their true colors. The person up there who said Sandler is nice called it perfectly. Ever wonder why Sandler and his not-quite-Oscar-caliber buddies keep getting work? Simple. They're nice guys and fun to work with. The converse? Lohan. She's talented (yeah, I know, just my opinion), but spoiled, difficult, and demanding. Is she working? No. Stars are replaceable at any moment and they know it, and that eats the insecure ones alive.

By Andy Kaufman, on June 20, 2008 14:56:31

  32. Most actors and comedians are insecure people who want fame and laughs because they're really insecure people with serious emotional problems. Most of them have substance abuse problems too because of that, and most of them are mentally unstable. Even after they get the fame and money they want they're still not happy because they did the wrong things to fix their problems. What I guess I'm saying is most of them are insane and will never be cured and I feel sorry for the people who have to work with them every day because I stopped doing it and I'm glad I did.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 15:11:35

  33. Myers' schtick is tired and not funny anymore. All he got were uncomfortable laughs when beat that dead horse Wayne's World sketch on the MTV Movie Awards this year. Have some respect for yourself and retire or get a new routine, Mike!

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 15:24:01

  34. I don't care about this dude's attitude, I just can't stand his face. He looks like he has downs.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 15:59:10

  35. Andy Kaufman's still alive? I knew it. Andy, you big faker. Where you been at all these years?

    By Vigilante, on June 20, 2008 16:07:42

  36. Myers is about as funny as cancer.

    By anonymous, on June 20, 2008 16:50:17

  37. I work in the film industry in Toronto and I spoke with several IATSE members who worked on the Love Guru and they said Mike Myers was an abusive %&#*ing prick on the set. They actually said we should boycott the film because of how badly he treated people.

The stars forget that most film workers are struggling to make ends meet while they make $20 million a picture.

By Donkey Punch, on June 20, 2008 18:07:49

  38. The "normal" remark reminds me of something Lohan was quoted as saying--probably read it here at IDLYITW--on the set of one of her fabulous blockbusters. A PA asked her some ordinary question or other that was phrased a little too "peer-ish" for Lohan's taste, and she shouted at the PA, "Don't talk to me like I'm a NORMAL PERSON! GOD!!"

Don't you know who I think I am?

I'm stunned to read that Sandler is considered to be a great guy. I've always suspected he is a COMPLETE asshole. Still do. Certainly got a mammoth ego, that's obvious enough.

Jim Carrey? Absolutely nuts. Think he's on the right medication now, though. (I think if one were to delve, one might discover that a great number of these people are bipolar and just need some lithium.)

By Little Miss Sunshine, on June 20, 2008 19:06:25

  39. When Mike Myers was filming in Toronto, all of the production staff were glad to see him go! And he's from Toronto. He's a pain in the arse, a narcissist and has major issues.

    By U, on June 21, 2008 04:22:56

  40. I 100% guarantee you he was just fucking with the interns, Conan probably was in on it too. Dude, it's Mike Myers, he's a well-grounded Canadian guy who doesn't seem to fully acknowledge the fact he's even famous.

    By anonymous, on June 21, 2008 05:55:18

  41. Myers is a butt pirate. We all talked about it on the set of SNL.

    By anonymous, on June 21, 2008 06:43:02

  42. Please, please, please let this stinking crapfest "The Love Guru" be the nail in the coffin of this nasty unfunny ass. I've never heard or read one nice thing about Mike Myers, nor have I thought he was funny since the "Wayne's World" day. Make him go away.

    By anonymous, on June 21, 2008 07:04:19

  43. His career ends as it began...

When he was making "I Married an Axe Murderer" a buddy of mine working craft services told me he was a diva even back then.

He'll be doing stand-up at fishing lodges in Saskatewan next summer.

    By anonymous, on June 21, 2008 08:08:58

  44. He's gay, and his movies stink.

    By anonymous, on June 21, 2008 09:50:35

  45. aw, man this is all so disappointing to me!
Ive always held a certain..admiration for the actors/actresses (less of those, unfortunatly) out there that make me enjoy seeing movies, or lust after the success in my own, musical way.
But with a punch in the face ive come to realize that theyre all fucking crazy in one way or another, maybe fame and fortune shouldnt go together anymore,
I think if the actors purse strings were tightened, and their ridiculous salary was given to the ppl that actually do all the work, then maybe theyd humble a tinny bit.
Thanks IDLYINTW! for shattering my dreams!
    heh.

  46. Why do famous people think the world is at their demand...I never though he was good looking anyway.

    By anonymous, on June 21, 2008 17:56:10

  47. It's a "wild goose chase" for them to go to a supermarket and get creamer, Twizzlers, and raspberry seltzer? You can get that in one stop, what the hell are they complaining about?

    By anonymous, on June 21, 2008 21:21:45

  48. If it's not Canadian it's crap. I heard something like that in a movie line.

Did any see Amy Whinehouse on Animal Planet?

By Mr. Sleepyhead, on June 21, 2008 21:57:39

  49. I agree with Todd's comment in the blog re: actors that, "...dress up like Peter Pan and pay Russian girls to pee on them." They're all a bunch of creepy, pervo freaks! Everybody knows that you have the Russian girls rub Peter Pan peanut butter on you, while peeing on you simultaneously. Fricken Freaks!!!

    By gregarb, on June 21, 2008 23:32:41

  50. I agree completely.

    By stickynose, on June 22, 2008 07:18:11

  51. 15:11:35, you just described 99.99% of the world's population, actors/comedians are a microcosm.

  54. "It's a "wild goose chase" for them to go to a supermarket and get creamer, Twizzlers, and raspberry seltzer? You can get that in one stop, what the hell are they complaining about?"

Read the story, Taint-Face. He demanded a certain brand. Cameljockey-Mart doesn't exactly offer the most diverse selection of cream and seltzer.

    By anonymous, on June 22, 2008 19:25:40

  55. i was also an exrtra way back on "So
I married an ax murderer " he was a sulking demanding jerk even back then..

    By anon, on June 22, 2008 20:25:43

  56. Is Russian girl PEE a particularly good pee?

    By anonymous, on June 23, 2008 00:14:18

  57. these inters are paid to kiss ass, if they stopped kissin it and getting the right creamer they would cease to make money. catch 22 i guess, don't wanna kiss ass but still want that paycheck.

i work in a place where there are mostly affluent customers and the occaisional celebrity. believe me, i'd love to tell them off and let them have it, but then my boss wouldn't like me so much. so i bite my tongue and do as i'm asked.

and most of the celebs i've come in contact with are pretty normal and very kind. it's the ones that used to be famous a long time ago, spouses and agents that are the worst.

    By anonymous, on June 23, 2008 08:41:34

  58. mike was just having a few laughs. and the twizzler hunt is a lie. everyone knows conan always has them for his guest in the dressing room.

    By moni, on June 23, 2008 11:31:03

  59. He's an ass clown, he's not even funny and all of his movies suck. He looks likes he's a pervert who would like little boys.

    By anonymous, on June 23, 2008 13:48:55

  60. He's a sucky actor who plays stupid characters that don't even require a brain cell to play (and it kills mine to watch them). I never understood the demographic that keeps him in the spotlight. But at the sme time I have to say that any moron stupid enough to give him (or any other overpaid POS, for that matter) a forum for self promotion and then cater to their every whim and desire deserves to be made a fool of when they take them for granted. Tell em to STFU. Why's that so hard?

    By anonymous, on June 23, 2008 14:30:23

  61. have you ever seen other celebrity riders?! this is nothing people!!!!!
Mike is Canadian. I know exactly what drink he was asking for. Raspberry seltzer my arse! He probably wanted Clearly Canadian, raspberry flavored, which is delicious. much better than "Soda" or red bull. It's very popular here. and if you are lactose intolerant, what the heck are you supposed to put in your coffee?! this is obviously some stupid side item that was meant as filler on a slow gossip day that got blown way out of proportion.
i'd like to see the list of back-stage demands for "Speidi" to appear on Letterman!

    By anonymous, on June 24, 2008 13:41:04

  62. He's turned into the character he used to do during that lame-ass Sprockets routine on SNL.
