Do these girls strap down their boobs for this stuff? Because she looks like she's got a rack in the vid but on the floor she looks like a prepubescent kid.
Alicia's nerves got to her, but you'd be nervous too if you were up against a team full of underage girls who should not be legally allowed to compete -- whose own government faked their passports and lied about their ages so they could cheat their way to a gold medal. The Chinese girls are plucked from schools and day care centers as young as 3 years old and then deprived of any kind of real life so their government can stunt their growth and turn them into gold medal gymnasts. The USA women's gymnastics team never had a chance at gold in Beijing.
It's horrible that she fell, but the deductions they took wouldn't have made up the gap to give them the gold, anyway. She has represented the U.S. faithfully since 2002, and has dominated the World Championships since 2005. Only 2 American gymnasts, male or female have more World Championship Medals than she does. I'm amazed that any of these girls can land upright on their feet. They're so strong and so graceful at the same time. Now for the proper IDLYITW assessment:
Young(20), hot, big rack, nice tight ass, a vagina tight enough to pick up a basketball, ultra-flexible, AND a dominatrix. What more can ya ask for? After showing multiple combinations of skills, I would definitely stick my landing.

They were only a point apart after China screwed up and would have tied or been ahead if their beam and floor were near or at perfect. All 3 USA girls stepped out of bounds on floor. USA messed up a little, but so did those little 10 year old cheaters from China. China scored unreasonably high during the prelims even with fatal mistakes which weren't considered during scoring. The judges in prelim. sealed USA's fate.
NO sting. Young children tend not to feel the pressure of serious events like these and that's why they make less errors. This is playing on schoolyard toys competition in their minds. More mature minds feel the stress of events like the Olympics easier because they understand the consequences if they make errors.
Most people are too dumb, nonchalant, or biased to understand this and that's how teams like these Chinese girls get away with cheating.

Younger bodies are more flexible, and shorter bodies are less likely to step out-of-bounds, the routines being equal. Shortness also gives a lower center of gravity which is an advantage on all the apparatus. Lighter bodies incur less strain. That's why there's a controversy.
Alicia did not cheat, so she can be proud of that. Unlike the Chinese who knew they couldn't win without 12 year olds. Shame on them and the gold medal they didn't win fair and square.
They totally gave the Chinese pre-teens higher scores then they deserved on the balance beam. Someone needs to tell the poor USA and the other countries they did not have a bat's chance in hell at winning the gold. This has been planned and fixed (using little kids) for 3 years.
USA should have won the gold. Period. I am kinda shocked anyone here would actually make excuses for these subprime gymnasts. The USA should present only excellence in a world forum. This team is a disgrace. The problem is that these girls are coddled too much and are coached how to make insipid excuses for their lack of discipline and skill. They have a no occasion to rise to safety net, and they know it.
By the by, used gymnasts are akin to racehorses when the are retired either by age, injury or failure. Only a few make it to the limelight, and the rest are disgarded. The US is any better than China in its treatment of gymnasts? Um, no.
The poor girl has done so well in the sport over the years but everyone will always remember this. I don't think it would have mattered if she screwed up or not they still would have marked everyone down but the Chinese. The judges in this sport have about as much credibility as a fart in a mitten.
