Uh oh, I'm predicting a storm of backlash on this one. Ragging on the looks of a mildly unattractive actress is a sure fire way to piss off women and hipsters everywhere. I call this "The Gyllenhaal Effect".
I was all prepared to come in here and comment about Todd catching teh ghey. I did a GIS and finally found a photo of her smiling. Yeah, she has some chompers alright. Very hot otherwise.
I've always liked that she made the transition from child actress (she won an Oscar at 11!) to having a career as a grownup without being messed up like Tatum O'Neal or Lohan.
If she got her teeth "fixed" she'd look like all the generic ho's in Hollywood. She can act AND she has some very nice ta-ta's.
#6, you can clearly observe the Gyllenhaal Effect in post #7. Notice the illogical acceptance of Paquin due to her crooked teeth, followed by the bitter claim that straight-toothed actresses are " generic ho's" (sic).
I knew as soon as I saw her in a cable drama (see: L Word, Tell Me You Love Me, etc) that this would just be a medium for her to get naked. And after pausing frame by frame, I can say I wasn't disappointed. Nice tits draw away from her teeth, she just became infinitely more attractive.
Not saying ALL women with straight teeth look generic. I just don't think her teeth make her ugly either. It sets her apart, and not in a bad way, IMO.
I mean, look at Hillary Duff and her awful horse veneers when she tried to get her teeth "fixed".
That big gap in her huge front teeth is unattractive. It's the same reason Madonna's and Sandra Bernhard's teeth make them look ugly. All of them are better looking when they're not smiling.
I love this series. It's the adult version of Buffy/Angel. YAY! And that damn theme song is making me be more of a hick than my brown beaner ass has ever been. I can't stop myself from sayin' "Y'all" these days. Of course, I blame Britney for that as well.
Lets get back to the most important thing. That vampire is F****** HOT! I have an unhealthy crush on him. Anna Paquin, she's not cute, but she's a good actress. This post made me laugh.
Ahhh Sookie you got bit so soon! Bill the Vampire is pretty damn smokin' They are both great on this show! Great to see her growing up well. Trueblood is one of the best shows on this season.
I had no plans to watch this show, but I accidentally stumbled onto it a couple weeks ago (had left the TV on HBO, so it was there when I turned it on) and got sucked into it. Been watching since.
Then this scene finally came along. I'd figured Paquin wouldn't be part of the N rating, so I was quite happy to see that I was wrong on that.
That was fu&cking hysterical. I love that show and I thinks she's great. She's from New Zealand and is evocative of a European film actress where good looks aren't the norm. Maybe she couldn't fix it if she tried.
I know Anna got an Oscar for her role in the Piano, but she's no great actress. She's kinda doofy and spastic sometimes, like in this past Sunday's episode when she screams at the fat woman about her dead granny's pie. She just came off like she was retarded in that scene....not attractive! As for her dating Stephen Moyer, well he's already got two kids with two different hos, so he might just knock her up and dump her ass later on. Also, he's pushing 40 and a 20-something in Hollywood that has connections might be appealing to him right now. LOVE the show though!
