#9 has it right. Scientology is a dangerous cult, a pyramid scheme designed to take people's money and alienate them from family and friends. It's not a religion. They're dangerous.
She merely looks unhappy. As she does most of the time unless she is with her daughter. She looks like a sad, trapped young lady that is going through the motions of a unhappy life. She will never be a true red carpet stunner, but Tom's money and ego will continue to thrust her into this role, even if she doesn't want it.
Since she married Cruise, her general appearance has radically changed. She perpetually looks tired, burnt out, stressed, and overall very unhealthy. I wish she'd dump that 5'5 bag of Scientologist monkey shit, and get back to being the person she once was.
This poor girl is getting the life sucked out of her by her freak husband and his insane brainwashing cult, not to mention the fact that he is trying as hard as he can to turn her into the closest thing to a man that his $cientology handlers will allow him to have sex with. He's sick, and she's trapped, and just seeing the transformation she's gone through makes it so obvious that she's living under the constant stress of knowing you can't leave a horrible situation because of the notorious blackmailers the $cientologists employ. It's awful to see her like this.
She can't dump him. He'd get to keep Suri and she'd be cut off from her like Nicole has been cut off from Isabella and Connor. Katie will kick him to the curb when Suri is 18. Mark my words.
Any REAL mother with an ounce of guts would kick a GMD to the curd for the sake of her child whether that child is 2 or 18. don't feel too sorry for Katie - she sold herself and her kid. Like most people here have already said - this is very sad to see. The change in her is unbelievable. I don't think this was planned, I think she was naive and didn't realise what she was getting herself into. And I also think that leaving this despicable 'relationship' would cost her her daughter - that's the only explanation for how miserable she looks now. Very sad indeed.
