He should have taken a cab home, and he should have been sent right up to bed. This morning he should have filled out job applications, not cared for a hangover.
Pardon me for not using the dictionary before posting. I am not sure if I spelled correctly the word "narrcisst." Hick is free, but have these people no remorse.Having the public know about a welcome home party , and stuff , poor taste. Okay, a private dinner at home for just them. Okay, have somebody pick him up from jail quick and fast.
I am not a fan of any of these people! Did anyone make that kid get in the car? He could have asked to get out and I am sure that was not the first time they ever raced before.
Yes you are. Stop deflecting the blame. Nick Hogan drank alcohol, got behind the wheel of that car, and raced that car illegally on public streets while knowing he had a passenger in the car who was not properly secured with a restraint.
^ A passenger who also knowingly got in the car with nick while he was drunk. You have to take care of yourself, no one else is going to do it for you. If you get in the car with someone that's drunk, you are responsible for what happens to you.
The problem with withdrawing on a patient with a traumatic brain injury is often the family doesn't have the option until it's too late. Basically when the patient first comes in there's a huge rush to save them. Once they're stabilized the patient can be trached and pegged (have a permanent airway and feeding tube put in) and around that time the family has just seen the "miracle" of medical intervention save their loved one. Often they don't feel comfortable pulling the patient off the vent and letting them die peacefully, particularly when the patient is 20 yrs old. Instead they will continue breathing and eating with the aid of machines until a bedsore or other infection kills them. It's a horrible way to live, if you can call it that.
@weaselly anonymous motherfucker @17: Fuck you. Nick Hogan made a vegetable of a friend by doing something he absolutely did not have to do. That's all that matters in this case. Nicky committed a crime and deserved much harsher punishment than he got, partly because it would have sent a message to all the other spoiled immature imbeciles that racing sportscars down streets is not an acceptable hobby.
The fact is that kid shouldnt have been in the car with him, and it wasnt like he was forced into it. This is the crap that happens when you allow dumbasses kids keep getting away with these things. But both of these idiots were at fault. Nick hogan could have been in that exact situation. He should never, ever have a license to drive. Ever!
So sammy...your telling us that what happened to the passenger was his fault??
So, my ex-boyfriend(ex because hes dead) is dead because it was his fault? HE was the drunk passenger that was killed by the drunk driver.
Although I understand what you mean by the passenger having reponsibility for getting in the seat of anyones vehicle...ultimately its the drivers responsibility to say to himself, "im too drunk to drive, so maybe we should all take a cab." Sometimes passengers think since its not their car they dont have to be responsible to drive or stay sober just in case the driver gets drunk. Its everyones responsibility to take care of themselves...but ultimately its the drivers responsibility not to drive and cause anyone OR himself any harm if they are intoxicated. Read your dmv manual. The driver holds ALL responsibility behind the wheel. Not the passengers.
Judging by Brooke's reaction, I'm betting she spread for Nick when he got home just like she spreads for daddy. I'm just wondering if Nick needed a blow job in the SUV on the way home so that he could last longer at home, and if Hulk got involved for a three-way.
honestly, i don't think Nick should have done ANY time, I'm dead serious. The victim was presumably complicit in the street racing; he was not held against his will, period. Both showed poor judgement, the fact that one participant was seriously injured, while tragically unfortunate, is inconsequential in terms of responsibility in my mind. If two dudes decide to rob a bank and one is shot by a security guard, is the other guy who was not shot but hatched up the plan more guilty than the person who was shot?
Nick only killed one person in this crash, but could have easily killed more people. Nick put his own seatbelt on, but did not insist his passenger put his own on. Nick hit the gas and raced his car having total disregard for the safety of his passenger. If Nick wants to kill himself that's fine, but he cannot make that decision for someone else. Street racers at Nick's level are not safe and smart racers.
It's sad that some rich kid who was dumb enough to think The fast and the furious was a good movie lost half his head and all but I shouldn't have to suffer for his mistakes. Put a fucking hat on him, I don't want to have to look into that gaping mess of a so called head every time I decide to check if some dumb actress has slipped a nipple or flashed a vagina.
Sucks about the Iraq vet, but let's acknowledge the elephant in the room: if he was buddies with Nick Hogan, he was probably a giant douchebag. Douchebags travel in herds.
Chris D, I see your point, but actually I think the crime "hatcher" IS held more culpable. Case in point, Charles Manson.
That said, has Jon's family mentioned how they feel about all this? Just wondering. I don't know...I just think the venom towards him (and there should be lots of that) should be for driving drunk at all. NOT for the extent of the injuries his friend suffered. It's true that Nick is solely responsible for the crash. However, he is not responsible for the moment when his friend decided to get in the car with a drunk driver. And you can bet this is NOT the first time these two raced like that under the influence.
True if the Hogans had shown genuine remorse and class maybe people wouldn't hate them so much. Instead they're staging a fake divorce and blaming Graziano, saying "God" will make him better, and hiding money from the victim's family. Fuck the Hogans.
Nick's release should do wonders for the Clearwater Beach tourism industry. Think I'll go to Sarasota or the East coast from now on.
BTW the local Tampa news, to counter the Hogan story, showed how "well" John Graziano is doing with his cosmetic head surgery and his improvement to "semi-conscious" state.
@ #34 (thank you) Yes the driver lived. There where 2 other passengers in the vehicle... one fractured his neck and broke his back. One was in a coma for 3mos. My ex chest was caved in and his heart exploded... The driver, however, suffered a torn spleen, broken pelvis and arm. But still lived to have children and live great life with his wife. The suit is still pending since he caused an accident under the influence with a city (park city utah) bus that resulted in one fatality.
Of course all these assholes want us to think the death of a passenger is the passengers responsibility...not the drivers. Of course they feel that way because it hasnt happened to their children or any loved one for that matter...

Or maybe we should all stay indoors and never go out. I dont want to be responsible if i die because of somebodys lame decision making...
Nick should have gotten more time, but honestly, I was shocked that he served anytime at all. Guess being rich and semi- famous can only save your ass partially. As for the victim, I don't understand why they haven't pulled the plug yet, it doesn't look like he has any chance of any sort of recovery. Believe me, I do understand the anguish of the family, the choice is very hard, I've been there, but with this young man, his passing could save a few other people through organ transplants, and he can live on through that. If I was his family, that would give me a small comfort.
What inbred idiots. Even if no one had been injured you don't put a welcome home sign and balloons out front as if he is a hero returning from war. He's coming back from jail for something he did wrong. Throw in the fact that his best friends life has been ruined and it's just plain demented. That Hulk sure is a great dad. Fuck them.
Look, the kid paid his debt to society. What happened to John was awful. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Plain fact of the matter is: none of it can be taken back.
All of you that want blood from this kid need help. There are equal or even worse things happening EVERYDAY all across this country. You all are piling on because he's the son of a famous man. Take a look at your own lives and the lives of those you care about. If you can honestly say that everything is perfect then you have the right to criticize. Until then, shut up.
Just because this spoiled bitch got a light sentence and special treatment in jail for a whopping 166 days doesn't mean we should all forget what he did and believe he's learned his lesson. He needs to keep paying his debt. Hope the Graziano's lawyers help him with that. :D
#55: I don't think you'd have the same sympathy for Nick Hogan if he did this to one of your loved ones. Sorry, but I can't feel sorry for the backlash Nick and his family are getting. His light sentence sets a bad example for other careless street racers like him.
#55 -- I'm sorry, I must have misread your comment...Nick PAID HIS DEBT TO SOCIETY? By serving a 6 month sentence for all but killing someone? I don't "want blood" from Nick, I just think it's disgusting that this assclown got a slap on the wrist for what happened. The meager time he's served has in no way "paid his debt to society."
ohhh, ok, 55. since none of it can be taken back, no use crying over spilt milk, right? i guess you take the same stance when people committ murders and the like. why make anyone serve time for crimes anymore?
it's not because he's the son of a famous man. it's because something terrible happened because he acted irresponsibly. he's being disgustingly cavalier about the whole thing, and so are people who respond like you.
#48: I'm so sorry for your loss and for your children's loss.
I, too, lost a family member in a drunk driving "accident." And as always, the driver survived. It took me years to get rid of the venom I can still read in your posts. And I hope you will take this with love from someone who has been in a similar frame of mind: I really think you need to see someone to help you, because you won't be able to go forward and find your happiness unless you find a way to release the anger. And you owe your children 100% of you.
I know I'm going to get slammed for saying this, but I only say it because your posts remind me so much of myself and the place where I was. One of the things that helped me was to realize: my brother put himself in that situation. It's much easier to stay furious at the driver and hold my brother blameless. But the only way I have been able to sort of... not explode with anger every day is to have that thought. To admit that I am angry at him, too. I do not blame my brother. But I loved him, I knew him and the worst most horrible thought hits me every day: he should have known better. I KNOW he knew better. What was he THINKING? It could have been avoided.
So am I angry at his friend? Yes. God yes. But I have accepted that this is something he has to live with every day. I haven't come to the point yet where I can say I forgive him, at all, or where I can even be in the same room as him (he is also in my family).
I don't know why I'm sharing this, I just pray for you, and for the journey you'll need to take.
Tha LOWLIFE piece of shit is out but you know he will fuck up soon and will ended up in jail again that asshole is to stupid to learn anything just look who his parents are that fat whore throws him a party is she fucking insane? and his stupid dad wants a show for him
how the hell is he ever going to learn anything with those fucked up genes
has anyone done some investigating to see if HULK and his ex WIFE are brother and sister????
#55, if the Hogans had shown one ounce of sincere remorse or sympathy for what happened, instead of saying one thing and acting another, I'd probably be more sympathetic. The fact that he went home and had a loud, public, raucous party celebrating his return home, instead of realizing how freaking lucky he was and just having a quiet dinner with family out of respect for the Graziano family confirm to me that this punk and his family deserve nothing but scorn and contempt. They clearly have no class or ability to see outside their little selfish world.
Making pleas for prayers and then throwing a huge party for Nick's return is so beyond crass I don't even know if I could find a word for it.
So pardon me if I respectfully decline your request to "shut up" and ask that you go fuck yourself. Thanks in advance.
Vigilante wins the best comment award for this thread in my opinion. I, too, would have hoped for a sniper to be hiding behind the overpriced SUV that came to pick him up, but I guess we can't always get what we want. Just remember folks, that karma is a BITCH and this little puke will get what's his.
#48: I am so sorry for your loss. I can empathize, and seriously - the Hogan's neighbors should do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get them the fuck out of Clearwater. NICK was ULTIMATELY responsible, and yet he only did 6 mos? When it was commented correctly, any of us would have done YEARS. Sad. I'm just fed up with it all.

Do not race and drive at high speeds anywhere but designated raceways and with approved safety gear.

"None of it can be taken back."
ohhh, ok, 55. since none of it can be taken back, no use crying over spilt milk, right?
i guess you take the same stance when people committ murders and the like. why make anyone serve time for crimes anymore?
it's not because he's the son of a famous man. it's because something terrible happened because he acted irresponsibly. he's being disgustingly cavalier about the whole thing, and so are people who respond like you.

I can't stand wiggers.

For John to get into that car, he obviously didn't have his head on straight.
By anonymous, on October 22, 2008 11:04:49
One thing is for certain: Nick Hogan really has a thick skull.
By anonymous, on October 22, 2008 11:05:41
This is really sad, because I knew John Graziano. His favorite movie was The Awakening. His least favorite movie was Crash.
By anonymous, on October 22, 2008 11:07:31
My girlfriend actually thinks Graziano is cute. She's a vegetarian.
By anonymous, on October 22, 2008 11:10:18
Graziano's favorite song is Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like A Hole".

WHY WON'T THIS FAMILY GO AWAY!?!?! They belong on an island by themselves

I have little to no doubt that he fucks his sister and his mother.

He's totally gonna get some ass from Brooke tonight...
