Celine and Christina blow her away. Mariah's voice sounds weak in comparison. During "Hero" i can understand why someone might have had a problem with it, because she did sang differently.
During "I Stay in Love" she sounded exactly like the record though, so, i dont see how her voice can have worsened from that moment to the moment she sang "Hero" just like that, which makes me believe she just sang that way because she wanted to, not because he couldnt replicate the way she sang it on the record.

My favorite Mariah Carey anecdote was how she went into a well-controlled, hotel room smashing, blood-spattered nervous breakdown as part of the PR ramp up to her movie "Glitter" just days before 9-11, then suddenly got her shit together and became a super-patriot belting 'em out on flag draped stages for the good old US of A. #20, The music industry these days is all about looks and personality, it has little to do with actual music. This is why we have lip synching losers like Miley Cyrus, Britney, Pussycat dolls, Danity Kane and idiot rappers clogging up the airwaves while great talents can't even get a song on the radio.
Celine's version of O Holy Night killed those other two. I know Christina and Mariah are good singers, but they don't sing like Celine. I still won't buy a Celine CD, but she is an amazing singer.

Celine sang the song with the right arrangement, she also sang the notes just enough, despite having a big voice.
Christine trails too much. She has a lot of power and just sings loud the whole way through. no emotion. just loud.
Mariah changes from whispy to belt to whispy to belt. and her arrangement is pop. She staccatoes too much. worst of the three.
