Um, no. Before any major surgery a doctor will give (well, any GOOD doctor) any woman of child bearing age a urine pregnancy test to rule out any unknown pregnancies. Seriously? This is just silly.

They take blood tests to check for communicable diseases, but most of them don't test for pregnancy. Jamie Lynn checked "No" on the "Are you pregnant?" question and that was it.

Plastic surgery just for fun...not covered. Lipo...not covered. If you're getting plastic surgery just for cosmetic reasons (meaning, it doesn't improve or prevent any medical condition), insurance companies aren't going to cover that. Meaning you are going to be paying out of pocket.
Since the plastic surgeon wouldn't have to deal with insurance companies and the host of lawyers brought to the table by insurance companies, they can just make you sign a form and skip tests like that.
As far as this being true or not...why would they only now be concerned about it affecting the kid? The kid has been born and (as far as we know) healthy.
