Terrible, sad news. They say Scientologists cannot recognize autism, as it is against their teachings. Does that have anything to do with the scene of Tom Cruise jumping up and down on Oprah's couch?
Didn't a previous post also say that this was a child that they deemed not worthy of having the "healthy" Scientology diet and they instead fed him junk food? It truly is a tragedy but it sounds a little like this child was treated as a second class citizen in the family
I am not defending Travolta, because I don't know the guy. Scientology is fucking creepy, sure.
I digress...
I f this kid was 16 years old, and needed to take medication for seizures then he is surely old enough to take it himself. How can you hold the parents responsible for this, honestly?

are you retarded? the issue is not about the parents not personally medicating him...it's about the parents not allowing him the medication at all! and the kid was autistic! you really think all autistic kids can give themselves pills?
Thougths and prayers are with the Travoltas, but I do so wish they would have considered getting their son help instead of allowing their beliefs to inevitably kill him. Medication for those seizures could have saved his life.
Honestly? You do want honesty in this whole thing? Ok. First, the kid is not fully capable -- he had autism or something that clearly resembled that, for fuck's sake. Second, as far as I know, and I may be wrong in this, parents are responsible for underage kids. Third... Did you ever listen to your parents when they tried to tell you things were good or not for you? Well, a lot of kids do, and they should, even in a case like this one.
Humans are not born already knowing everything, so there you have your obvious bad parenting by the Travoltas.
Jett had a history of seizures he was not autistic and his parents loved him very much.
he also has a personal carer and everything he needed.. Its one thing to rag on the travoltas for their 'religion' or whaterver but they just lost their son! For shame! To say they killed him etc and not to acknowlege their pain is worng.
when it comes to the death of a child, there is a line that should be not crossed. seriously!
In almost any death there is a line to be drawn, not only a child's.
Now, picture this: some weird religions out there forbid people of donating or receiving blood, even though it's a perfectly trivial thing. Ridiculously stupid people who have faith (and faith only!) in these cults of freak and who refuse to open their eyes and see the world out there will let their ones die because, oh, their BELIEF SYSTEM won't let them go through the same fucking procedure thousands of people experience every day. There's no other justification, not a reasonable one! And they will miss and mourn their dead in the same way normal people do.
If the Travoltas refused to address their son's problem in any way, especially because of their pathetic childplay of a cult, they ARE responsible, pain (of course) or no pain.
He wasn't just autistic. In the photos and videos it appeared he was mentally handicapped, i.e., retarded to some degree. When you're 16 and your father still leads you around holding your hand, you walk on your toes and you have a constantly blank expression on your face, I'd surmise you have the mental age of a small child. I don't suppose the Scientoloonies acknowledge MR/DD, either. Just needs a bit more purification.
And who has their "family doctor" in on an autopsy? Oh yeah--maybe parents who have something to hide? And they sure torched the body in a hurry once the all-clear was given. Something stinks and it's not Travolta's last few movies.

Leave Your CommentWas there not an earlier post where the kid wasnt getting his medication and it was said that he was largely ignored by his parents?

What. Where is Todd? Tragedy schmagedy, those fucking scientoloweirdos are somehow to blame, i just KNOW IT!

Demi-gods, I tell you, they don't die. The big Hubbard in the sky is supposed to protect scientologists from everything remotely human, like autism.
Too bad this kid had to suffer and go because of his parents' supreme stupidity.

it's a tragedy that the kid died.
personally, i find the parents to be partially negligent to his death by not treating his condition.

Mr. Cotter mourns. Xenu rejoyces.
@ 2 : Todd is still here, but strangely didn't want to write this post.

They probably killed him. They got tired of caring for him. Travolta is a complete douchebag!
